A Memorable Experience.....My wife and newborn twin daughters had the most memorable experience during a three night stay at the Hidden Treasure Oceanfront 'Castle'. This property is as depicted, right on the cliffs of the Pacific, with amazingly beautiful views from every room. The house is so privately tucked into the trees that we felt we were on an island. This rugged coastal area and this property were covered with wild flowers, rattlesnake grass, ferns, pines and small colorful cactus tucked into every crack of the rocks. The designer or architect of this house deserves an award at making the house part of that nature. The bed was comfortable, the linens and entire house clean, the kitchen would allow any chef to make an outstanding meal. Many great hikes in the area and history of Fort Ross. Only one restaurant close by (Timber Cove Lodge with good- reasonably priced menu), but I would recommend packing in your food. Don't forget the amazing hot tub, which is on a cliff, over the ocean. Getting access to the property was flawless and the management was eager to help with any problems. I would recommend this place to anyone and hope I can make this an annual trip for my wife and I.
Comfortable & Relaxing...Craig and I really enjoyed our stay at Hidden Treasure. The house is very, very interesting. Very comfortable and relaxing. We had a great time sitting on the patio and just watching the ocean and the birds. We had a fire in the fireplace at night. The weather was perfect! We really enjoyed sitting in the hot tub watching the sea lions, as well as being able to see the stars lying in bed. Have you ever been so excited about something you saw in an ad...and then when you saw it in person, it left you a bit lack-luster? Unfortunately it seems we've all become conditioned that 'it's never as great as the pictures.' NOT TRUE HERE. Upon arrival, when we looked at the home and the location, we just started laughing in such childish delight, it's almost embarrassing. We rented Hidden Treasure to celebrate our 1-year anniversary - so I was looking for a place that would really be special and romantic. We couldn't have dreamt of a better place. It really was almost too perfect. We would walk around the place and just say 'Yeah...this is amazing.' The highlights of the place, for us, was the charming deck, the hot tub, the view from the bed, and the cozy living room. We were only there for 2 nights, be we never left the property. There was no need. There wasn't anything, anywhere else that would have made our weekend any MORE romantic - so we stayed put. We loved it so much we discussed possibly making Hidden Treasure 'our anniversary spot'... but next time, though, we'll definitely stay longer. If you can swing it - stay 4 days or more to really get the full effect of this magical place. I could go on and on... in a word... 'SPECTACULAR'. Hidden Treasure! Experience a very romantic cottage nestled amongst the rocks and pines of the Central Sonoma coast. Located on two private acres, this ocean front property offers views of incredible sunsets, sea lions on nearby rocks, migrating whales and wild deer. You can watch the stars from the hot tub on the cliff top at night and let the sound of the ocean surf lull you to sleep after enjoying a nice glass of wine on the deck. Sonoma and Napa's fabled wine country begins an hour away by car.
Hidden Treasure is best for a couple alone or with up to two children. It is located 25 minutes north of Jenner, CA.

Hidden Treasure is a unique residence and location of breathtaking beauty, regardless of weather or season. The house is a perfect honeymoon destination or retreat for a couple looking to escape from the harried days of ordinary life. From the stunning, unique, wrought-iron banister that dominates the home's core, to the manner in which the house was built directly into the hillside and the stupefying views from literally every room, Hidden Treasure is as much a wonder in its design as in its location.
Perched on a bluff about 50 feet over crashing waves, the house offers great privacy, even though neighbors are within 100 yards on either side; the design of each lot is tasteful enough that many of the houses cannot be viewed from each other. True bliss is sitting in the hot tub, watching the waves, whales, birds, sunset, storms, seals or stars.
Having stayed at many world class hotels, Hidden Treasure is in that class in design and locale especially. And the enormous high definition television and stereo don't hurt either.

The Hidden Treasure is an amazing property in an amazing setting! Nothing like: hearing the crashing waves against the shoreline, watching the sun go down each evening, seeing the stars fill the night sky, enjoying the abundance of birds and wildlife, etc. The house is extremely cosy and practical with great fireplace and full kitchen. The view from the hot tub is the BEST! The tub is a bit old and only some of the jets work, so that could be improved, but the overall experience cannot be beat! Two other things that could be improved upon are: the slow draining bathroom sink and the lighting in the bathroom. If you plan on leaving the house for dinner and it is late in the season, you can forget about shaving, if you are a man, or applying makeup if you are a woman. The lighting in the bathroom is just above candlelight and you can barely see yourself in the mirror. The brightest light in the bathroom shines in the corner right above (and on to) the toilet! Really strange. Other that that, the Hidden Treasure certainly lives up to its name!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

The house is wonderfully interesting and the surrounding property is great with fantastic ocean bluff views. The interior decorating accessories need updated but the furnishings are fine aside from the table/chairs. Overall it was a most serene, relaxing, reflective place to escape the stresses of life.Recommended for: Girls getaway, romantic getaway.

It completely lives up to its name; it's a hidden treasure. Upon arriving, I forgot my motion sickness in the sublime environs and charming, picturesque home. (And everything was clearly explained by the very helpful, friendly, enthusiastic Malcolm.) Our whole sensory experience exceeded the high hopes we had formed from perusing all the online pics. The house is cuter, quirkier, more functional, more peaceful, than the photos communicate. And the ocean! And the air! And the nature all around us! Delicious! As our vacation continued, I realized that I had never seen my husband so relaxed as he was there. I know they're there, but I can't really recommend nearby attractions because we didnt leave. It was great fun merely to relax, play with our baby, eat cheeses, hang out. As much as we loved it, we weren't devastated to leave after 3 nights; instead we left "Hidden Treasure" feeling renewed and ready to face the real world, congratulating ourselves for choosing the perfect vacation and fantasizing about going back next year.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, sightseeing, families with young children.

If the weather is right, the location couldn't be more spectacular. 50 feet from the seaside cliffs, with a hot tub perched even closer and neighbors far away, this is the ultimate weekend romantic getaway. Very highly recommended.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Our stay at Hidden Treasure was absolutely fabulous! We stopped at the Whole Foods in Petaluma as suggested by another renter for food, and that was definetely a great idea as we had flown in from South Florida on the day of arrival and there are no grocery stores close by. The stars at night were fantastic and every detail in the house was appreciated. Thank you to the owners for opening their home and sharing with others.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, sightseeing.

What a Hidden Treasure! Our stay was fabulous!It rained hard, almost the whole time we were there, but I have never seen the Pacific so spectacular! The only drawback was that my husband was having extreme knee problems and had a hard time negotiating the slopes and multi levels. I had to haul all the firewood up from the driveway in wind & rain, (none was on hand), but it made the hot tub all the more enjoyable...Recommended for: Girls getaway, age 55+, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, sightseeing, families with teenagers.

In town you will find a wonderful Coastal Gift shop, an all organic cafe with some food choices, gas station and deli, visitors center, kayak rentals, and a Wonderful Restaurant called River's End catching a sunset meal from here is spectacular!!
