We had a great girls weekend at this house. It is really spacious and has a great North Woods decorating theme with lots of fun touches. Everything was very clean and modern and the kitchen had everything we needed. When we had one very small problem with a fire alarm battery, the owner was super helpful and it got sorted out immediately. The hot tub was great and we loved the Ipod system that played music throughout the house.

Just writing to say thank you for sharing your home; we had a lovely time in New Buffalo. We spent most of our time out and about, but it was great to come "home" to such a comfortable place at the end of each day. It was certainly appreciated to have the amenities of a coffee maker, toaster, a large and clean fridge, and plenty of towels for our stay. I can only imagine how perfect this retreat is for your family.

Our family of 4 met our cousin and daughter for a long weekend of relaxation. The house was lovely and so well kept. The kitchen had every necessary piece of equipment for our family of cooks as well as lovely dishes to serve them on. Comfy beds and soft sheets, games for kids, easy walk to town and the best hot tub ever. Had fun playing ping pong in the club house several times also. Jeannine was great to work with as well. Relaxing retreat

This home is really amazing and everything so clean and decorations are beautiful. The hot tub and screened in porches overlook a peaceful wooded area. The location is perfect and close to the downtown area and beaches. Jennine was so helpful and great to deal with. The fireplace made for a cozy night watching TV and playing games in the living room. All the beds had lovely linens and comfortable. We hope to visit Camp New Buffalo again next summer!

We had a fantastic New Year's weekend here. The house was clean and had every amenity- the heat lamps on the porches and the hot tub were especially nice! We were able to play ping pong and video games in the club house (also beautiful and fully stocked), but we can't wait to come back in the summer to use the pool and athletic fields!). Also walking distance to a few bars and restaurants, and a super quick drive to the casino!

We spent a lovely October weekend at Chateau New Buffalo. We went for a 40th birthday girls getaway weekend and truly loved our time there. There were 6 of us and we had plenty of room to gather and spread out in the house. The house was fabulous - lovely, inviting and so well equipped. The grounds are gorgeous and we enjoyed the hot tub, firepit and clubhouse ping pong table too. We went to Michigan Thyme and the Stray Dog for meals, walked along the lake and went to Warren Dunes and Tabor Hill winery. We had a great time catching up too! Thank you so much for sharing your home with us.

We spent the weekend here for our annual girls trip and it was beyond perfect. The house is new & very clean. The pictures don't do the house justice. We had plenty of room with 6 of us. There is lots to do in the area and we were also content spending time on the huge back deck with the heat lamps on reading. We went out to eat at a few local restaurants, hit the outlet mall, & casino. We felt spoiled & comfortable the whole weekend. I would recommend this home to anyone looking to spend time in the New Buffalo area. We will be back again.

Weekend Getaway

What a great home to spend a long relaxing weekend with friends. We especially enjoyed the screened in sunrooms not only on the main floor but the lower level with the hot tub. And the infra-red heaters came in handy since the nights were cool, especially when we got out of the hot tub. The home is nicely decorated and the king beds are very comfortable. The stereo system is great as it has an ipod docking station so we could play our music and even hear it on the porch and hot tub as there are speaker controls for each area. The kitchen is well equipped with all the appliances anyone would need. We have rented many homes on VRBO and this is one of the cleanest, modern, and well equipped rentals we have stayed in. The only thing we wish it had was wireless internet access. The owner is very responsive and a pleasure to work with.

The house is very well maintained and super clean. We spent a girl's weekend there in September and everyone was extremely pleased with the house and the location near downtown New Buffalo. There was plenty of room for all of us and the screened in porches allowed us to enjoy the outdoors and wooded area in the back of the house. The hot tub and fire pit are bonuses and don't forget the clubhouse and pool directly across the street from the house. I would definitely go back with a small group of friends or family.

This home exceeded my expectations. It located right next to a park and a short walk to downtown New Buffalo. We loved the private fire pit stocked with all the wood we could burn. The inside of the home was extremely clean and well kept. The kitchen had plenty of counter space and an updated modern look. All the beds were comfortable. We looked both screened in porches overlooking the forested backyard and how could I forget the hot tub! I would encourage you to stay at the "Chateau New Buffalo" if you come near or around New Buffalo.

Relaxing Weekend

My husband and I spent a long weekend with our children and some friends at the Chateau New Buffalo from September 10 through September 13. We had a wonderful time. Our youngest and his friend spent most of their time at the community center playing ping pong, chess and swimming. The house was absolutely beautiful and we wanted for nothing. The older children hung out at the house and enjoyed time in the hot tube and making a bon fire. It had all the comforts of home and more. I loved Barney's grocery store. They had everything imaginable and everyone was warm and friendly. We made a trip to the beach, Stray Dogs andRedimaks. We enjoyed a bike ride and a long walk around the area. Otherwise we just stayed at the house and cooked and spent some much needed "catching up" time with our family. Everyone had a great time and were more than satisfied with our accommidations. We look forward to going back some day.

It Can't Get Better than This -- The Perfect Vacation Getaway

We spent August 26 - 29th, 2010 at Chateau New Buffalo. First of all, the owners were very kind and accomodating, which was great as our trip was last minute and it was our first time to Michigan. Despite seeing the photos and knowing the accommodations would be beautiful, we were truly impressed with how wonderful everything was. The decor was rustic, yet sophisticated. We have a 4 year old who loved looking for all the hidden bears and moose throughout the home. The kitchen had all imaginable amenities. There were games, toys, & movies for kids. The hot tub was wonderful for after the kids went to bed! The community pool was nearly empty and a wonderful amenity. The screened in porches offered the opportunity to enjoy the wooded surroundings without mosquitoes! We will be back to New Buffalo, but it will be hard to convince my family to stay anywhere else!

Great New Buffalo Experience

Our stay the week of August 6-13 was a perfect spot for our family trip to Michigan. The house really is everything it looks like on the website,very meticulously maintained and has so many wonderful amenities. We particularly loved the great kitchen,the cool porches where we had meals,played games at night,watched deer graze in the morning and even had time for quiet reading. The fire pit area is perfect for smores,the kids loved climbing on the playset,and the pool and clubhouse are incredible. We also had fun riding bikes in the area and using the tennis courts at the park behind the house,along with a few races around the track. New Buffalo has so much to offer in the area-we did blueberry picking,several days at the area beaches,dinners out in town,go carting and fun activities for the kids at Captain Mikes Park.along with some wonderful ice cream treats. We would highly recommend this house--it really is a perfect spot in New Buffalo!!

We stayed a week July23-30th at Chateau New Buffalo with three adults and three children and didn't want to leave ! Every amenity was at our fingertips, never needed to run out for forgotten items. The home was very clean and beds were very comfortable. With all the things to do in New Buffalo, the beach and the great swimming pool across the street, sleeping was heaven. Would recommend this home to all !

Two families, nine people, one week, and a terrific time. Ten reasons to rent Chateau New Buffalo; 10. Comfortable floorplan for cooking, eating, watching, reading, s'moring, sleeping. 9. Enough space for nine to sleep (two in trundles, the third trundle didn't open). 8. Hot tub 7. Nice appliances indoors and out. 6. Firepit 5. Cable and a crystal-clear flatpanel TV 4. This house had everything in the description and more--it undoubtedly made a good vacation great. The kitchen was fully equipped, and there were plenty of bath towels and linens. Pool access was a plus with kids because it was just across the street. A gravel path gives easy access to the local park and quiet streets, making the walk to town easy. The local grocery store is so close that all you need to pack is a swimsuit and a beach towel.

Our family of 6 stayed at Chateau New Buffalo for a long weekend in June. The home was impeccably clean and beautifully decorated. Although we weathered the storm of all storms while visiting, the home was well equipped to handle the power outage with flashlights, matches, the gas grill and gas stove, as well as plenty of board games. We had the community pool to ourselves the majority of the time, which was nicely heated to about 85, and it was literally across the street. The kitchen was beyond fully equipped where we were able to make our homemade berry waffles as well as our Michigan Fruit Smoothies. The garage was filled with bicycles for most ages and beach chairs. The kids spent much of the time on the first floor where they had their own TV/DVD player, as well as puzzles and other fun activities. Ahhhhh....the hot tub...what else needs to be said! We enjoyed one of the most memorable sunsets and the New Buffalo Beach less than a mile away, as well as dune climbing and sand castle building at Warren Dunes. We hope you enjoy your stay as much as we did...you won't be disappointed.

A Great Getaway

Our time in new Buffalo was great. The house accomodated a large group of four adults and 6 children, many of which were still in pack and plays! The amenities were just as described and the kitchen was stocked with dishes and cooking supplies. We were amazed by the overall attention to detail, from decor to plastic wine glasses to the clubhouse/pool to the entertainment system. If travelling with little ones, we recommend bringing a gate for the stairs! The only problem was the walk into town involved crossing/walking on a busy highway for a bit so we didn't do this as much as we anticipated. However, the downtown area allows for some good parking. New Buffalo as a town and beach is lovely with quaint art galleries, eating places, and the beautiful harbor. We stayed for a week and could have stayed longer!

Stayed for a weekend with a group of friends Feb 19-21, 2010. We love to shop, gamble, eat and visit the local winery's. This home is about 15-20 minutes from Four Winds and Blue Chip, blocks from downtown New Buffalo and a short 1/2 hour drive to Tabor Hill. The location is not the only great thing about this house. It is on a cul-d-sac, very tastefully decorated, has all the ammenities of home and is fully stocked with everything you could need. It would be a great place to take the kids in the summer with the community pool and short distance to the beach. If you need a place to stay you can't miss with the Chateau. Plus you will fall in love with the moose on the mantel.

What a perfect place to sneak away to and reconnect with those you love! Our family of six adults and three children enjoyed it all -- skipping stones at the lake, dining in delicious restaurants, peeking in unique shops. But our very favorite was relaxing at "The Chateau" -- sharing meals and great conversation in the spacious dining area, making smores and singing by the cozy firepit, relaxing in the hot tub, lounging in the sitting area complete with toys for the kids! So enjoyable! We would highly recommend!

We stayed at Chateau New Buffalo over New Year's weekend with four adults and two one-year olds. We had a great time. The house was perfect for our weekend getaway. It's very close to downtown New Buffalo, yet tucked away in the woods. The house is very well equipped for staying in, cooking, and entertaining the kids. We enjoyed the hot tub, a fire in the fireplace, lounging around playing cards, playing with the kids, and feeling at home with our friends this weekend.

We spent Wednesday through Sunday over Thanksgiving. Had a marvelous time and much of it had to do with the accomodations. We had 6 adults and two children. The home is very well outfitted for cooking, cleaning, washing and board games. Great for kids and adults as well. I've already spoke to friends and we may be going to spend a few nights with them in early 2010. We've found a great home to go to in Harbor Country and don't plan on staying anywhere else! 5 out of 4 stars.

We stayed at the house for the weekend of Sept. 18th. It was a fantastic house! The outdoor areas (firepit, playground for the kids, etc) were great --especially for our 2 1/2 year old son-- and the screened in porches (upstairs and downstairs) were particularly nice. The hot tub is easy to access (in the screened in porch on the lower level) and got a fair amount of use in our short stay. The beds had very nice linens and were extremely comfortable, and the house was very well decorated and furnished. Rather than eating out, we cooked all of our meals at the house. This was very easy beause the kitchen was well-stocked and the BBQ grill was extremely nice (and large!). The next time we head to New Buffalo, we plan on staying at the house. This is--by far--one of the nicest VRBO homes that we have ever visited. We have already recommended it to our friends.

Chateau Buffalo was a great Get-Away Retreat and half way for us from MI and family in Chicago. All the amenities right at your fingertips - pool, hot tub, fire pit, beaches, restaurants, shops, the dunes and wineries!! The owmers were great to work with and have not forgotten anything to make for a very enjoyable stay!! Would defintely stay here again!

Our family enjoyed a relaxing week at this very beautiful home. The privacy was great. We had the pool to ourselves a couple afternoons and played ping pong in the clubhouse. The evenings were cool enough to enjoy the hot tub. Our daughter and son-in-law played their guitars around the fire pit. We did most of our own cooking and grilling. The kitchen is very well equipped. We visited a few restaurants and the ice cream shops were great! We found delicious berries at Paul's Fruit Stand. The New Buffalo and Warren Dunes beaches were both lovely. We spent a few hours at the outlet mall in Michigan City. We spent a couple hours at Mike's Fun Park playing mini golf, riding bumper boats and cars, doing the batting cages, trampoline basketball, arcade, etc. We walked or rode our bikes to the nearby city park to play tennis and softball. We would recommend this beautiful home and the New Buffalo area to anyone!

Our stay at "Chateau New Buffalo" was absolutely wonderful. The house was amazing, it was just built and in pristine condition! We are definitely picky vacationers but the decor and all-around feel of the house was perfect...woodsy, tasteful and well thought out. We felt so lucky for having found it! The firepit was so fun for us to make s'mores in and the screened in porches made even the rainy days so fun. The clubhouse was also an amenity that we were so fortunate to have...the pool and ping pong table were great for our family and the family whom we shared the house with. A few of my girlfriends and I stayed the weekend at "Chateau New Buffalo" to retreat from our everyday lives, and celebrate a friend getting married. We had no idea we were walking into something so wonderful! The home was easy to find, had a great location in the town, and couldn't have been more perfectly decorated. What attention to detail! I planned to do some cooking and worried about not having what I needed to bake/etc. The home had everything! The view is nice, very, very quiet and offered plenty of room for our friends to sleep comfortably. Thank you for helping us create memories for our friend in such a lovley home! We'll be back soon!!
