A perfect beach vacation retreat!

Our family thoroughly enjoyed this lovely Crescent Beach home! Very well maintained, incredibly clean and tastefully decorated. Located close to all the local attractions, but still private and peaceful. Joan is a wonderful hostess, and included so many niceties not usually found in rental homes. She is absolutely fabulous - even being so kind as to mail us a dvd that we had accidentally left at the house. There is not one negative thing to say about this beautiful property. We look forward to our next visit and are telling all of our friends and family about this jewel of a beach home!

We are a family of 4. We took over this generously supplied home for spring break & had a great time. Walking distance to beach & great seafood. Very clean beach but not TOO crowded (and the water a pleasant temperature. Ten minutes to historic St Augustine (we LOVED our time there!) 5 minutes south on A1A is a dolphin habitat . . . you can see them from the beach. We also had drop-in friends from Jacksonville & Ft Lauderdale. You won't have to worry about linens or laundry (she even provided our detergent - how generous! And a surf board for our novice daughter to try out). Making our plans so easy, directly with owner. So pleasant & accommodating!

We loved this house it was a quiet neighborhood yet very close to the water, and just a short drive to St Augustine attractions, the local restraunts were very good. the house offers just about everything anyone would need. The owner is very helpful and always fast responding to questions via email, even when we just bugged her about someplace to eat! We are wanting to return next year as there is too much to do in just one week.

This house had everything you could reasonably want from a vacation home. A quiet location but close to everything in and around St Augustine together with high quality accommodation made for a perfect holiday on Anastasia Island. Joan provides lots of thoughful little touches such as the restaurant guides, paperbacks and DVDs. We've rented lots of private houses for vacations and this is very near the top in terms of quality and value for money. Although there were only 4 of us, this house would be perfectly comfortable for 6. Highly recommended.

This cozy home has it all! All we had to bring with us was our clothing. The owners have provided everything you need for a relaxing vacation in St. Augustine. We really didn't have time to research information on the city before we arrived. So, the tour guide pamphlets left on the kitchen counter for local attractions and restaurants were very helpful! The inside and outside of the home were neat as a pin! The beach was very well maintained(no trash)....much nicer than most FL beaches we've visited. We definitely would recommend this home to friends and relatives!

This home was perfect for our vacation. We had 7 people in our party and did not feel crowded at all. The house is extremely clean and the owner has thought of everything you might need while on vacation. We hardly had to buy anything but food. It is in a very quiet, friendly neighborhood and just a short walk from a great beach. We drove to many different beaches around St Augustine and everyone's favorite was the one right by the house. It is also only about a 15 minute drive into downtown where there are some really great shops and restauraunts. I would recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing beach getaway.

Have just returned from a week in the St Augustine Beach House. Couldn't ask for better, furnishings were lovely, beds so comfortable and all in all there was nothing I could fault. Owner has provided good speedy service and been contactable at all times. There is no doubt that should we return to the area, and I really hope we will, we will be in contact and hope to rent this home again. I would most definately recommend the property to others. Regarding the area, it too is a joy, we have had day visits to St Augustine over the years but this was the first time we have stayed. As usual Harry's was great for steak and outdoor dining, and then a gentle walk by the sea to walk off those calories......do visit the coffee shop in the little courtyard where the Berkinstock shop is, great coffee!!!!! We seemed to spend an awful lot of time there!!!!! Visited Ripley's - a little disappointing to be honest. Flagler Beach was lovely - do go when the Farmers Market is on and visit the coffee shop (yes I know) that overlooks the front. It's the upstairs of a house and has a nice verandah thing!!! Oh yes and be sure to pop a drawing pin in the big map to show where you come from!!!! Enjoy!

Although the weather did not cooperate during our visit, we had no problems w/the house. Joan has thought of everything, down to a flashlight next to the back door (just in case!) We liked the "beachy" look of the place & found the location to be very convenient - about a block and a half to the beach & also close to the Intracoastal Waterway. The neighborhood was very quiet - we are hoping to stay here again - when the sun is shining!

To rent the beach house for our first trip to Florida was a very good decission. The house is spacious, clean and contains everything one might need. Never had such a complete rental before. The house is not far from old St. Augustine, Jacksonville, malls and outlets (loved by my daughter and son). Even Disney World is within reach. And a beautiful white sandy beach at walking distance! Just the weather wasn't what we had expected, but about 55F with sun is good enough for sightseeing and walking the beach and was way better than the freezing cold and snow in Wisconsin, where my friends are from, and the cold and rain those two weeks here in the Netherlands. The moment one of us needed to see a doctor, Joan gave us the address of a good one and called later to find out if all had gone well. We really appreciated that. We ate in several nice restaurants, but I just remember the name of the Raintree in St. Augustine where the food was excellent. Recommend the beach house to people who want to visit this part of Florida and ask me where to stay? I sure will. Want to stay in the beach house again? Surely! Next February with warmer weather? Who knows...
