My wife and I were back on the property and enjoyed it very much. There is an incredible peace and quiet, enjoy the view of the sea at dusk and dawn is wonderful. Everything in the apartment is modern and nicely decorated comfortable. Internet service has very good speed, which allowed us to connect the Apple TV to watch movies. The pool was delicious. We will definitely return to stay at the property again later.

This condo was well appointed with loads of towels and bedding, etc as well as a full kitchen and laundry. The living room can easily seat 8 people. Great views (exactly like the photo) and its a gated community so the place was quiet in the evenings. Pennekamp is very near, as is the grocery store and restaraunts (a couple of these are within walking distance). I highly recommend the place - i look forward to staying there again!

We spent 4 nights here and really loved the place. It's very clean, fully stocked with towels and linens. Our children really enjoyed the large space of the condo and loved the pool. There's a really nice fish market near by where we got great crab claws and fresh local fish. People we met in the complex were really friendly also. In addition, the owner is really nice to work with. Thank you very much!
Owner response:Hello Qian I am so glad that you enjoy my unit, I do my best to keep it updated so my customers can enjoy the way I do. I hope to see you soon. Best regards to your family Beatriz

I just returned from spending a couple of days here for Thanksgiving with some close friends and their wives. It was perfect ! We prepared a traditional Thanksgiving meal in the kitchen with no problems at all. The appliances are all top-notch and the kitchen is BIG. I can't think of anything we needed that wasn't there. The View from the balcony is breathtaking. The entire condo is clean, well furnished and comfortable. The grounds are beautiful. I hope to visit this place again and again. I'm between boats right now, but I have to say " attention boaters......check this place out !" The marina is perfect, has deep water access.....I could go-on but you get the point. If you have a boat, ask about bringing it. There is parking for boat trailers and the ramp is just feet from the condo. I'm sure there may be a charge to wet-slip a boat in the marina, but the slips look nice and again they are just steps from the condo. Ask the owner about bringing a boat. This was perfect for our group and what we were looking for. We live in the Miami area, and wanted to be on or near the water without the "Miami beach scene". If you're looking for a party....this isn't it....thankfully. If you're looking for a bunch of late-night activity.....and noise......you can find it close by, just not on this property. While we do not have children, there were families around with children and they seamed to be enjoying themselves, but they were also supervised, well-behaved and not a bother to others. A few kids with their Mother in the pool, a few Dads teaching their young sons to fish on the jetty, but NOT hundreds of kids running around by themselves. Everyone had a smile on their face ! I've had nothing but excellent experiences with VBRO owners and this is no exception. Thank You for sharing your "slice of heaven".
Owner response:Hello Christopher, I am very pleased with your review , this is the kind of review that help me to sell my unit. I am very glad you enjoy my unit as much as I do. I hope to see you back in the near future. Beatriz

We stayed in your property and had a fantastic time. The apartment has lots of space, great kitchen, beautiful bathrooms also we liked that it is a gated community and having a guard allowing only invited guests is a big plus, it gave us a total sense of security. The property is close to excellent restaurants, shopping and all types of attractions to keep us busy and when it came time to relax what better than sitting on the balcony with a glass of wine enjoying the “amazing view” also our walks by the unique beaches with the charm they keys are know by (not your typical white sandy beaches). The apartment is fully equipped all you need for your vacation “home away from home”. Enjoyed the pool too we are definitely coming back and look forward to our next vacation. Thank you Beatriz for your hospitality.
Owner response:Thank you Yvette for your comments, really I try very hard to have my unit very beautiful. I know this is not your first time on my unit, I hope you continue renting it. Thank you for your preference Beatriz

Beatriz was very easy to work with, the process for checking in was easy, the condo was clean, well equipped and has a lovely view. There are two negatives - there is no beach, and I mean not even a little, its a seaweedy swampy smelly mess, don't even go there. And the second bedroom has a door that opens onto the shared inner walkway, which felt a little unsafe to me with the kids in there. That said, I pushed the dresser in front of the door and it was fine. And although there is no beach, the snorkelling off the jetty was nothing short of amazing. I pet a sting ray and my husband saw a manatee, there were barracuda and cow fish and a lots of lobsters. The pool was also very nice, and although I would not swim in that inner "lake" the kids liked feeding the fish there. One more note - if you are considering Kawama overall - stay in the tower. No comparison to the other condos. Overall a great family value and a very nice vacation.
Owner response:Hello Heather thank you for your review, the beach the association is aware and we are trying to do something about it. The side door is something that you may or may not use, this is the way the building was built, in order to be able to rent just one room if you want. I am glad you have a very nice vacation

This is a very clean, well-kept and comfortable unit with excellent panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean. The rental process was simple and straightforward. There are ample linens, and the kitchen has everything you would need for a lengthy stay. For the most part we had the lovely pool to ourselves. We were a bit disappointed with the condition of the beach area. Hopefully at the conclusion of the marina construction the HOA can address the beach so guests may enjoy the water without having to drive elsewhere. We discovered some great restaurants -- Bayside Grille (upstairs dining room -- especially at sunset), Pilot House (outdoor dining) and Fish House & Encore (a bit more upscale). Snorkeling from nearby John Pennekamp Park (both offshore and by boat) was enjoyable. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again in the future.
Owner response:Thank you for your review, the comment about the Beach , you are right, after the marina is complete HOA is trying to do something with the Beach. The most important part is that you enjoyed my unit, and we are located very close to all the anmenities in Key Largo. Best Regards Beatriz

Stayed here for 3 nights in June. Very roomy and exceptionally clean. Great views. We especially liked the gated secure parking and the lockbox key access, since we had made a leisurely drive up from Key West and weren't sure what time we would be arriving. Working out the arrangements with Beatriz was very simple and straightforward. It was a great location for our day trips to Everglades Nat Park and Miami South Beach. My security deposit was returned very promptly. Would stay here again.

We enjoyed staying at this condo. The condo was clean and nicely decorated. The owner was easy to work with and the process to gain access was straightforward. I felt comfortable she would have been readily available if there was an issue or question. The marina was being renovated but that didn’t bother us. The view was great. We would stay there again when we come back to the Keys. This was our fourth trip to the Keys, we enjoy Key Largo and this condo is conveniently located with restaurants and shopping relatively close. I’ll echo the concerns of a little bit of trash on the beach. I live on the water in Texas so I understand about accumulation of seaweed & trash against the rock wall depending on the currents, as that is just part of being on the water, but it could use a little attention. The trash can at the gazebo was never emptied while we were there, and the general condition of the gazebo and picnic tables were relatively poor. Perhaps once the marina project is done this area could be next. The marina was progressing well and it will be attractive when it is done. Even with those few small issues we were very pleased. The general grounds were well kept. The condo unit was clean and reasonably well stocked with utensils and linens. We went with another couple and my grown son. We felt there was ample room for all of us. All in all we felt it was a very nice place to stay, and would return.
Owner response:Thank you very much for your comments, about the small issues, the gazebo, do not belong to us, is government property and we are not allow to due anything on it, except walk around, we try to repair and they do not give us the permit. As you said the next project after the marina is the beach. Beatriz

I'm really glad my parents suggested this place when I was planning my weekend vacations to the keys. The apartment is fully renovated. It all looks great! the view from the 5th floor where the apartment is located is amazing. Front ocean view, what more can you ask from the keys! Im glad we stayed there. Im sure there might be other properties around but i'm really happy with this one. It's a keeper. Make sure you drive down to Islamorada Fish Company for a sunset dinner.

We stayed for a long weekend and had a fantastic time. The location is perfect for quick access to good food, diving/snorkeling and everything else the upper keys offer. The Yacht club itself was clean and well kept and the lighted tennis courts were great. The condo was very nice and clean with comfortable furniture and a great view of the ocean. We arrived late and the process to get into the condo was incredibly quick and easy. The owner was great to work with as well.

My husband and I are divers and have tried different condo's in the area. This one rocks!!! Beautiful views- close to all the dive shops. Very spacious Master bedroom. We were traveling with another couple that did not dive, but knew the area. They went on day trips, kyacked, fished and swam in the pool. This condo is beautiful. The HOA needs to clean up the beach because it is littered (as was said in a previous review) It would be a beautiful snorkeling area and swimming area - they just need to clean it up at low tide. The marina is being updated, but should be finished in July. They did not work on weekends and since we dove, we never had a problem with noise. The owner was incredibly easy to work with as well. I'll be back next year to rent it for our dive vacation!!
Owner response:Thank you very much for you comments I appreciate a lot, I hope to see you next year

This condo's location is absolutely perfect! It's top floor placement makes it quiet with an amazing view of the ocean and marina. With windows all across the front you can take in the beautiful sunrises and sunsets. Even though the unit is older it is very clean and has been nicely updated. The kitchen, with its granite countertops and stainless steel appliances, is well-stocked. Bathrooms have been updated as well in a fun modern look and the unit has tile throughout. Both bedrooms have televisions which is really nice if you are there with family. The pool right below the tower is really nice, well-maintained and convenient. Kawama has several kayaks available for owners/renters use. We took them out one afternoon and saw several rays swimming through the water on the right side of the jetty. A note for parents with kids - the Kawama beach is a clothing optional beach. Shopping is just a couple minutes away from this unit making it very convenient, but away from the noise of the highway. The only disappointment at Kawama was the large pond feature. I don't know if it was just the time of year we were there or what, but it was not usable. Slime and natural debris was over a share of it making it not a good swimming/snorkeling option. This obviously has NOTHING to do with this great condo, but I mentioned it so if snorkeling the pond is something families are interested in for their kids, they can check to see if it has been cleaned up. We had a great time here and Beatiz was wonderful to work with!!

Spent five days over Thanksgiving in this lovely condo. Views were spectacular. We especially loved the marina view from the master shower as well as the master bedroom and living room. As an added bonus, due to the angle of the balcony we saw the sunrise in the morning and beautiful sunsets in the evening. Beatriz was very accommodating. The property offered quaint places to relax to a large salt water pool filled with tropical fish. Great for snorkeling. We hope to return sometime in the near future and will choose this condo again. Thanks Bea for a great vacation destination.

We've traveled Florida from the Panhandle to Key West and Kawama is without rival. The Yacht Club is secluded, yet within walking distance of virtually everything you'll want or need. We marveled daily at the view of the quiet marina five floors below while we sat in the living room watching sailboats race with the dolphins. This unit is clean, with modern appliances. It is well supplied with fresh linens, good towels, a fast Internet connection and state-of-the-art video systems. Privacy, security and elegance. No matter how long you stay here, you'll wish for one more day.

Our family recently stayed in this oceanfront unit for 3 days. The views are unbelievable! The owner, Beatriz, was so friendly and helpful. She promptly answered any questions I had. This complex is very close to wonderful restaurants (Our favorite was Sundowners--on the bay!) and dive companies. There was plenty of room for all 6 of us and the price was very reasonable for such a nice condo. I highly recommend this unit and hope to return again!

We recently stayed here for a "mini-vacation" with our kids and grand-kids. We're not strangers to the Key Largo area - have stayed at other locations - and this has been our best experience yet. The condo is updated, roomy and very well maintained. The pool, being right down-stairs, was a great plus with our grandsons. We will definitely be back and will recommend it to any friends travelling to the area!!

My husband and I stayed in this unit for 10 days. The views are spectacular, the pool, the marina, the Atlantic, all from the 5th floor (there is an elevator). The unit was very clean with beautifully remodeled bathrooms and kitchen. The master bed (the only one we slept in) was very comfortable. The unit is very spacious and comfortable and the kitchen is very well equipped with everything you could need. The complex is gated with very friendly guards. There are two pools, a beach area off of a jetty for fishing, a lagoon, tennis courts, and a playground for children. The location is close to everything; we were less than 2 miles from several dive companies (we used Rainbow Reef, highly recommended), the African Queen, shopping, and even a Starbuck's. There are tons of great restaurants near by, our favorite was Sharky's. We were able to make a day trip to the Everglades, and an over night (one day is plenty) trip to Key West (stop at Bahia Honda beach, it is a beautiful sandy beach). This unit is great and you will never be bored with so many things to do on the complex and in the area. The owner, Beatriz is very friendly and accommodating. I would highly recommend this unit to others.

My family and I stayed here and this is the best unit in the tower. It was very clean and fully equipped with anything you might need with extras of everything! The owner, Beatriz, was so very courteous and helpful. The photos are only half as beautiful as the place really is.The wi-fi was great, beds were comfy, and the kitchen and bathrooms were gorgeous! We visited the "theatre by the sea" and that was great for the whole family. Plenty of state parks just a short drive away. Islamorada is around the corner. Just a short drive to Key West and the beaches there are great for both swimming and snorkeling. The view from the unit is spectacular!!! I will surely stay here again if I get the opportunity.I would highly reccomend this unit to anyone wanting to enjoy Key Largo and the rest of the keys.

Spacious, immaculate, and well-furnished, this condominium possesses a spectacular view of Kawama Yacht Club pool, marina, and the Atlantic Ocean. Only a few minutes drive by land or by water from John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park, it was the perfect location from which my wife and I enjoyed the area's many recreational opportunities, including diving, snorkeling, boating, biking, and fishing. Other features include a well-equipped playground and a saltwater lagoon with HUGE tropical fish on-site, a dolphin encounter adjacent, and glass-bottom boat tours nearby. Several excellent restaurants, specializing in local seafood and Cuban cuisine, are also neaby. We were very pleased with our stay in this secure and well-maintained property, and with our communication with Beatriz, the owner. This property will definitely be in the plan for our next trip to Key Largo.
