My husband & two kids (14 & 16) recently stayed in this amazing home! Everything from the sheets & towels to the finishes & hardware are top notch. Spotless clean & has every possible amenity you could think of. I have stayed in a lot of vrbo homes & this one is by far the best. The location is perfect too. Steps to the pool & just a few more to the beach. I'd give if ten stars if I could. The owner is incredible too. They truly want you to be comfortable & have an amazing vacation. Can't wait to come back!!

We stayed in this beautiful condo with our toddler son and had an amazing time! The condo is beautiful and clean. Villamare is a great location and lots to do. The pools are great and so was the beach. The owners were wonderful to work with too. We love Hilton Head and have been many times. This was by far the nicest place we have ever stayed. We would definately stay here again and I would highly recommend it to anyone!!

When we opened the door, we were wowed at how beautiful the condo was. We had an awesome time celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary. The weather was perfect and it was nice to come back in from the beach and have such a nice place to stay. Very close to the beach and comfortable. Thanks Karen for a wonderful trip. July 23rd - July 30th 2011. What a beautiful condo. Perfect for me, my husband and daughter visiting from Vienna. My daughter said she felt like she was staying at a spa. Easy access to the pool, beach & parking garage. The kitchen is an event in itself. Be sure to go to the Santa Fe Cafe, ride your bikes on the beach in the evenings & kayak in the lagoon. We LOVED the condo! It was so beautiful and so close to the pool and ocean. We have stayed in several condos at the Villamare and this one was the nicest we have ever stayed in. The kitchen was unbelievable as well as the custom closets. The beds were so comfortable! My husband and I got the best nights sleep we have ever had on a vacation. I loved the scrapbook of restaurants that Karen made, it was so nice and full of all the information you would want to know. We stayed with our daughters ages 12 and 7. They did great! Thank you for a wonderful stay! We will be booking with you again as soon as possible for next year!

We recently retuned from our 4th trip to Villamare. Karen's first floor condo has always been wonderful but our jaws dropped when we entered the newly renovated villa. The space has been transformed into a luxury suite . The kitchen has everything you can imagine; the bedrooms and bathrooms are beautiful. We can't wait to return.

Villamare 3rd Floor - Great Vacation

Thank you Karen and Gene for a beautiful condo right on the beach. The condo was clean and well maintained. Lots of natural light and the layout of the condo easily allowed our two guests to retire for the night in complete privacy and for me to wake up early and make coffee without interrupting anyone. The beds were very comfortable and it was great having a washer and dryer. I eventually persuaded everyone to rise early for the spectacular sunrises with a promise of Starbucks for all on the beach. (available at the Marriott right next door). The condo is within walking distance to the tennis centre and close to nearby necessities - supermarkets, pharmacies and restaurants. You can tell that everyone involved does a terrific job maintaining the condo, grounds and pool area. We loved Santa Fe and Roast Fish and Cornbread restaurants and we had a very special evening at The Old Fort with a beautiful sunset. We spent three weeks here and would have no hesitation in recommending it!

Great Time at Hilton Head

We brought our parents down to Hilton Head and stayed here. The condo was great! Spacious, clean, pool right outside and the beach just a minute from our door. It was the first time for my parents, they can't wait to come back.

Great Vacation - Great rental

This was the second time we rented this unit and we loved it once again. It was very nice, fun and contained everything we needed. The A/C and all the appliances worked great (95+ degrees the week we were there). The facility was wonderful and had very good security. I would definitely recommend this vacation for families or couples who don't like surprises. The pool, fitness room and beach were wonderful. The owners were great to work with (no hidden fees). This past June, my family and I had a wonderful stay at the Villamare. Karen's condo was so nice, perfect in fact, with all the amenities you need. It was tastefully and comfortably decorated. We took Karen's 1st floor condo. When we opened the door, we were thrilled with the space and the layout. The master suite was large with a big soaking tub and a separate shower and toilet room. As if this was not enough, the room had a spacious dressing area with a sink and large mirror for dressing for the evening! The second bedroom was large too with its own bathroom. Each room had access to balconies which overlooked the pool and the sparkling ocean in the background. Everything was so clean and fresh. The access to the pool and beach was so close and easy even our 2 and 1/2 year old could lead the way. The gated community was safe, secure and friendly. The general store was convenient and the bike rental was so much fun. We cannot wait to return there to enjoy another beautiful, relaxing vacation. In all my travels to the Carolinas, this condo was the best. Karen is awesome. She handles your accomodation requests efficiently and with a genuine interest in making your stay the best it can be. She responds quickly to your email or phone calls no matter where she is. I inadvertently left my jewelry bag (with jewlery) in the condo. I called Karen on our way home and in her friendly efficient way, sho got that jewelry sent back to me. Amazing. We will definitely stay there again. I am heartily recommending these condos to all my friends and family. Karen made me feel so comfortable in making our vacation plans. I am so glad we found her site. We hope to get back there sometime next summer. If you are planning a stay in Hilton Head, you definitely want to stay in one of Karen's condo.

What a wonderful condo! Close to the beach, very large master bedroom, 2 queen beds in the large second bedroom, we had plenty of room to unpack, store things and not feel cramped. The way the condo is set up, we didn't know when the rest of our party was awake, because it was quiet! I wish I could live in your condo! The beach was phenomenal. It was stingray mating season, the lifeguard blew the whistle to clear the water for about 10 minutes, while the stingrays swam down the beach. What a beautiful site! We were also able to find sand dollars and starfish! The beach was large, a lot of room and the hospitality of southerns can't be beat. Everyone was friendly! Our entire trip was perfect, so glad you shared your vacation home with us!

We just stayed in the Third Floor Condo at Villamare last week and loved it! The location was wonderful and the property was very taken care of. It is right on the beach and has a great pool too! Plus you are right next to the Marriot Hotel in case you want to visit their pool/bar. The condo is a great size it fit me, my husband, my parents and our two kids very comfortably! The condo was extremely clean and had everything in it that we needed. It was so nice to have a kitchen with small children! We would recommend this condo to anyone and would love to stay there again!!

Another Great Vacation!

This is our second time renting one of Karen's condos. We truly love Hilton Head Island and Villamare. A few years ago we stayed at her third floor condo (which was great) and this time we decided to stay at her first floor condo. We knew it would be great also because she takes great care of her vacation homes. Karen's homes are always neat, clean, nicely furnished and equipped with modern appliances and equipment. She even calls on the arrival day to make sure we are satisfied with everything. The elevator and covered parking are a nice convenience and the Villamare grounds are always meticulously maintained and spactacular. Even something as insignificant as the garbage chute makes this place great as it is conveniently located steps away from the front door. We had picture perfect weather with sunny days, highs in the upper 80's and a light shower over night. The beach was gorgeous and the water temperature in the ocean was just right. I enjoyed being with my family for a week as the boys are older now and it is getting harder to get everyone together. We had a great time swimming. sunning and visiting the beach. I was ready for some rest and relaxation! We always take an evening to go play putt-putt golf and this time we also went fishing on the party boat, "Capt. Hook." The fishing was terrible and we came back with nothing. At $65 a person and no concessions for no catches I would recommend a smaller private charter as there are several in the same marina area and I'm certain those boats would have taken us to areas where fishing would have been better. We look forward to our return to Hilton Head Island and most likely will call Karen again. Her pictures are accurate and there are no hidden secrets. We give her homes our absolute highest recommendation and know that once you stay there you will agree. Thank you, Karen!

The location and accomodations were excellent and Palmetto Dunes had lots of activities to keep my family busy. The listing description was absolutely accurate and our stay was fantastic. Our unit was spotless and in great condition with all updates. The owners were very accomodating and made the trip very simple, which is truly important on vacation. The keyless entry made the initial booking and the trips back and forth to the room even more simple. There is a very nice pool area and we were just steps from the ocean. I would definitely make a return trip.

Karen and Gene: After visiting Hilton Head last week, I think our family has found the perfect vacation spot. Just wanted to let you know what a wonderful time we had there and it began as soon as we entered Palmetto Dunes. The grounds, plants and flowers were beautiful. Villamare was more than we could ever had expected.........your villa is absolutely magnificent. It is beautifully decorated, spacious, and your kitchen was so well equipped for eating some meals in the villa. We have 3 sons, ages 19, 17, and 11. Our older sons felt so independent and "glad to be away from their parents" as they sat on the balcony late at night talking. I think they were happy not sharing a balcony with us. Everything was spotless and clean when we arrived which I always appreciate and we hope that we left the villa in the same condition. Our 11 year old was fascinated by the "trash chute" and was more than eager to help clean up!! Hilton Head had everything we could ever want. We spent lots of time on the beach and at the pool. The boys rented a canoe and toured the waterways of the resort. We followed some of your restaurant recommendations and found your helpful hints around the villa. Our 17 year old's true passion is golfing and daily tried the different courses in the area. The local shuttle was perfect getting him to and from the courses. The weather was perfect, sunny everyday and we already look forward to our next visit to Hilton Head. Many, many thanks for the use of your beautiful villa last week. Enjoy the rest of the summer! Just wanted to let you know how very much we enjoyed our week at your condo. It is so homey, and just the right size! Also, just the perfect location-sun hasn't quite hit the balcony off the master bedroom from 8:00-8:30 (at least when we were there!), so we could sleep a little later and still enjoy our coffee on the balcony. And, the view from the condo of the pool area is just lovely-but not too close to hear the noise! We also loved just stepping out of the condo, and either walking one quick flight down to our car or bicycles, or hanging a quick left down the stairs to the pool. And the keyless entry!! So wonderful to not have to mess with keys! I did a quick look-see at the Captain's Walk pool area, and it does not even compare with that of Villamare-nor does it seem to have the gorgeous landscaping everywhere. So, we can't think of a better location within Villamare that we would like to be! Should we go again to Hilton Head (and I am SURE we will!) your condo will be the first place we check! Thank you so much for such a wonderfully decorated and comfortable place!

Great condo! We've been going to Hilton Head for 20 years, and I think we've found a new favorite place. Spacious, nicely furnished, convenient to beach, elevators, and parking. Loved the keyless entry - no tracking down who has the key!! Owner was more than helpful. We loved it.
