Our gorgeous Destin Gulf-front home "The Nitsos House" is perfect for your family retreat or get-away! Plan to spend the holidays at the Beach -- our home will comfortably sleep 12 people. Spectacular Gulf views from all three floors of this home! The first floor has a Master Suite with King Bed, daybed with trundle, wet bar and full tile bath including tub. Access the beach from the covered porch down your own private walk way. The second floor includes a living room with walk out porch overlooking the Gulf for grilling or relaxing, queen sleeper sofa, dining area and a large full modern kitchen with breakfast bar that seats two! There is an additional bedroom on the 2nd floor with a queen bed and huge walk-in closet. This floor has a full bath with shower(no tub). The 3rd floor, 2nd Master Suite has a breathtaking view of the Gulf. The covered porch provides a relaxing retreat for morning coffee or watching our world famous sunsets. The spacious master bath enjoys a large tub, separate shower room and double walk-in closets. Also on the 3rd floor is another queen bedroom and a separate full bath with tub.

All bedrooms have TV's and WIRELESS internet capability. Each floor enjoys covered walk-out porches and balconies and a private walkway to the beach from the first floor. And we offer DISCOUNTED GOLFING at one of Destin's most prestigious golf courses! (Requires three (3) day advance notice for tee time.)

The Nitsos House is built on the historic site of the original home place of John and Ruth Nitsos. In the early 1950's Mr. Nitsos founded the Frangista Beach Community and the "Old Frangista Motel". Frangista Beach was named in honor of his hometown of Frangista, Greece. Walk across Scenic 98 to the large beautifully landscaped heated community pool. Treat yourself to a tour of this historic neighborhood including the "Saint Nicholas by the Sea Chapel" also built by John Nitsos.

The Nitsos House located in beautiful Frangista Beach will provide a memorable vacation with all the comforts of home. Smoking is limited to the outside decks and balconies. The primary renter must be 25 years or older unless special arrangements are authorized by owner's written consent.

AND WE ARE PET FRIENDLY!!! Small dogs are allowed with pet deposit (maximum 2).

  • The place was great! For starters, a barefoot walk around the house proved the cleaning service is excellent. There wasn't a grain of sand on the floor. The kitchen and bathrooms sparkled. You can't tell from the pictures, but the porches are deeper than most. All three provide plenty of shade and room to maneuver. Let there be no mistake -- this house is on the beach. You can keep an eye on the kids from any porch, or from the the air conditioned comfort of either of two front bedrooms or the den. From my perspective, Frangista Beach is perfectly located. It is not nearly so crowded as is Destin, 5 or 6 miles to the west. As best I could tell, the gulf frontage of Frangista spanned some 1/4 - 1/2 mile. All units within 500 feet in either direction of our house were quality, single-family homes or up-scale duplex townhomes. During our stay, we occasionally saw our immediate neighbors on both sides, but we never heard them. Renters a few blocks up or down the beach near higher density, older, condos or public beach areas did not experience the serenity we enjoyed. An important factor that shouldn't be overlooked is the owner. The Nitsos House owner isn't just local, she lives a block away and is very attentive. Though we really didn't need anything but a little local knowledge (Dewey Destin's Seafood Restaurant was her best call for us) it was nice to know Linda was there. I can't say enough about how perfect the Nitsos House was for our family. We try to visit different parts of the country each summer, but we had such a good experience I could easily see us returning to the Nitsos House. We found it to be an excellent value and a manageable drive from Atlanta.
