This restored farm home (Bear's Den) is located 15 minutes west of Traverse City and 15 minutes away from Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore voted most beautiful place in America by Good Morning America, August 2011.
The Bear's Den is available year round. It has six bedrooms, three bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen and an entertainment room with a ping pong table, foosball table, pool table and large flat screen TV.
The Bear's Den is part of Sleeping Bear Resort which is a popular family gathering destination for groups of up to 70 people.
The Bear's Den is centrally located at the base of the Leelanau Peninsula. The region is recognized for its award winning wineries, excellent restaurants and charming little villages.

We rented this house with our family of 15 and found it perfect for that size group. It is spacious, plenty of room for each family to have its own space, dining area is large enough for the group. New owners had just taken possession the day before we arrived and they were very attentive, checking to see if we needed anything and willing to do whatever to make our stay pleasant.(Thanks, Doreen). Since there was plenty of snow, we spent time outside - there is a sliding hill nearby, a tubing hill (fee) within 20 minutes, and ski resorts also nearby. We would definately consider renting this again.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.
