A fabulous property -- immaculate grounds, on the beach and adjacent to Duke's restaurant (great happy hour with fish tacos, local beer and huge "hula pie" which is the size of a person's head). Room is fully stocked with boogie boards, beach chairs, beach towels and kitchen/BBQ gear. Very comfortable bed and pull out couch which comfortably met needs of family of 4. Can walk to snorkeling or stand up paddle boarding at black rock point. Directly across the street from very friendly folks at National/Alamo rental car.
Recommended for:Girls getaway, age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers.

We stayed in this unit from 9/10-23/2011 and had a fantastic experience there. The condo was clean and very well appointed and even nicer than shown in the pictures. Our check in experience with Justin was quick and professional and the resort itself was a great place to stay for two weeks. Early morning coffee on the lanai was one of our favorite activities with views of both the ocean and mountains. We are definitely looking forward to returning to Maui and staying here again next year!

My wife, and two kids and I stayed in this unit for ten days in March 2011. The unit was spacious, clean, and the photos don't do it justice. My wife and I are picky when it comes to accomodations and this unit and the grounds were even better than we expected. We ate at Duke's at least four times, and the food was just as good as Leilani's or the Hula Grill in Whaler's village. Justin Brunold, the property manager, met us at the lobby of the hotel and lead us to the unit and explained the various features/appliances. When we had a few questions and requests during our stay, Justin answered our calls promptly and helped us immediately. We will definitely stay here again, not only because of the unit, but because of the service we received from Justin.

We stayed Sept 4-12 2010. Room was very nice, and just as described. It was a pleasure doing business with Jacki and her father. She handled the $ transactions and contract promptly (including refund of deposit), and he met us when we arrived ready to greet us and handle any potential issues durring the stay. My wife and I stayed at this condo for our 10 year anniversary. The evenings on the lanai were picture perfect. The condo was new, beautiful, and spacious. I didn't want to leave paradise. Jacki was great to work with and made it easy to rent this unit. I have already recommended it to others. The property is amazing with the pools, barbeque areas, and beach access. I can't wait to go back to Honua Kai! I would love to stay in this unit again.
