  Such a needed time away from it all. Perfect resort, great service - thank you KBM, weather was OK, but a lot warmer where I am from, water was warm = which is all that mattered. The unit had everything we needed to be comfortable cooking most meals in the unit. Very well stocked and Very clean. John was very helpful checking us in and Justin suggested some great activities and restaurants to go to. Thank you for the great time. We will be back hopefully sooner than the last time we were on Maui.

  I could just pack up my life and come live in this unit at Honua Kai Resort. Plain and simple this unit in particular is so perfectly located in the building. Right by an elevator, but doesn't share a wall it it either. great view from the lanai and I love the sound of the Palm trees blowing in the cool Maui breeze. The open spaces are great here so you don't feel like you are in some large resort. The beach is great. I would walk out and head a little south toward blackrock and within 25 yards there isn't a person near you for another 25 yards. I like to read and stare out into the ocean with the cooler that was provided in the unit. The Tommy Bahama beach chair, umbrella and cooler were used daily. Thank you for having that in the unit All in all I am going to figure out how to buy a place there and make it my second home. John thank you for being so great upon checkin. You will not be disappointed in this unit. Clean and cozy.

  We just stayed in this unit and we couldn't have been happier. Go to Napili Bay to Sea House for happy hour - best kept secret around. Unit was perfect, clean, has everything you need to have a great time and a great view. Mahalo John and KBM for the great stay.

  In a nut shell - brought my wife and 2 kids and stay in unit 344 and it was perfect. Poolside all day being served by Duke's(a little slow on the service, but this unit had a cooler - fixed that problem myself) Wife got the tan she was hoping for and kids loved the pool and slide. John from KBM was great. He even met us late to personally check us in and it was well after 11PM. He even put 4 beers in the fridge - legend. Maui we will be back.

  We rented this unit through KBM Hawaii with Justin & John and had a great trip. It was perfect. We left the kids home and just enjoyed hanging out at the beach, Duke's and in our spacious 1 bedroom unit. We made breakfast and lunch most days and ate dinner around town. Thank you KBM Hawaii for making this happen.

  We rented 2 units from KBM Hawaii over Thanksgiving. Unit 344 and Unit 236. Best family vacation ever. Both units were very spacious and very clean. This one was for my in-laws and it was just far away from us to have some privacy. From the second we called KBM Hawaii to the personal check service by their property manager John Brunold it was first class. Able to book online and pay online with a check or credit card. Gave us the security feeling of knowing we are dealing with an on island licensed property manager, unlike some of the others we just didn't feel comfortable with. Like the listing mentions this unit had all the extras - new boogie boards, pack/play, high chair(which was perfect with the grand parents were baby sitting for us) beach chairs, cooler, umbrella. All of the girls loved the amenities of some French line they had which I guess is also carried at the Four Seasons. All in all this is a luxury condo with a first class company looking after it. Thank you for making this a special vacation for us. Wish we could afford to do it every year, but we will definitely be back.

  Pictures don't do the property justice - the grounds are very well kept, lots of pools for the kids to play (including one with a waterslide), very clean and spacious room with all the amenitites. We especially liked the beach towels, chairs and boogie boards. Great area of Maui just north of Black Rock so it's less crowded. Plenty of fish to see right off the beach with good visibility. Would definitely stay in the unit and/or complex again. Note there are more fish to see at Black Rock and we were lucky enough to see a Giant Sea Turtle up close, but it tends to get crowded there so go early (about a 5 minute drive or 20+ minute walk). If you have small kids, you don't really need to do a snorkel trip, there is plenty of sealife for them to see at the local beaches. Bring a water camera! Thanks again to John, Josh and the rest of the team. Excellent Stay!

  This is the second time in as many years that we have stayed at this condo. It has a nice view, it is a quiet building, and it is close to the elevator. In short, it is a high end condo with beauriful grounds and pools and way less busy than the Westin Villas next door where our friends were staying. At the Westin, guests start reserving chairs by the pool early in the morning; no such issue at the Honua Kai. As usual, Justin and John provided excellent service during the check-in and when we needed to ask them a few questions during our stay. We loved it so much, that we are in the midst of booking it for 2013. I highly recommend renting this unit, especially since it comes with boogie boards, a cooler, an umbrella, and two beach chairs, the very things you won't find at a hotel.

  Recommended for: Families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children.

  I researched the Honua Kai very well, so there were no surprises, except the view is much better in person. This condo is perfect for my wife, daughter and I. Very upscale yet cozy. Everything you need, the beach chairs come in real handy and we have used the cooler with wheels several times. I'm still here, writing this on the lanai drinking coffee watching the resort come to life. Great place. For a big place it is very quiet. Dukes has been good for us and the market behind the condo is perfect, very short walk. Excellent snorkeling just a few steps down the beach. It is less crowded on the beach this side of Black Rock, I love it. I have had it to myself a few times, imagine that! I would stay here again for sure!

  A fabulous property -- immaculate grounds, on the beach and adjacent to Duke's restaurant (great happy hour with fish tacos, local beer and huge "hula pie" which is the size of a person's head). Room is fully stocked with boogie boards, beach chairs, beach towels and kitchen/BBQ gear. Very comfortable bed and pull out couch which comfortably met needs of family of 4. Can walk to snorkeling or stand up paddle boarding at black rock point. Directly across the street from very friendly folks at National/Alamo rental car.

  Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.
