Rancho de la Capilla (Ranch of the Chapel) is a unique historic ranch. Originally a religious site from the seventeenth century, the ranch is now a home in a private village 15 miles from San Miguel de Allende. Surrounded by ancient structures, a restored chapel filled with frescoes, corrals for our horses and stables, you will have the ranch to yourself during your stay. Complete privacy in a little Mexican village.

We were recently featured in a new photo book of San Miguel called Casa San Miguel, published by Rizzoli and photographed by Tim Street-Porter. We have also appeared on the Fine Living Channel and the Travel Network on Trips of a Lifetime.

The house has one bedroom with a queen size bed and the guest casita has 2 twin beds, it's own kitchen and courtyard. Luz and Martin, our caretakers, live on the property. Martin will guide you on a horseback ride into the Mexican countryside and Luz will be available for cooking and cleaning.

It is a short trip into San Miguel, less than half an hour. Car services and car rentals are available.....but most people can't really tear themselves away from the peace and incredible beauty of the ranch.
