This home is on the ridge as you head out of Truckee back to San Francisco (see photo) which means it gets sun all day. It is my personal residence so I take very good care of the property and keep nice/tasteful furniture (no circa 1980 Tahoe décor).
The house is centrally located about 2 minutes to Highway 80 which means easy freeway access to Squaw / Alpine / Sugarbowl / Northstar / Boreal. Basically they are all 15 minutes away or less. It takes about 3-4 minutes to get to 2 different grocery stores in town, yet it is on the fringe of forest land so you can snowshoe right out the back driveway.
The floor plan on the main level is very open which makes it ideal for sharing a vacation with the family and friends and being very social (main level has Kitchen / Dining / Living Room / Mud Room). The kitchen has a buffet bar to put out your food or to relax and socialize while others are in the kitchen. You should find most all utensils you will need to cook a good family meal.
The house has many windows so it is very light and seems open. There are 3 bedrooms upstairs with queen beds in each. Two bedrooms have lofts with a twin futon in one and an office set up in the other. The master bedroom has nice views south, its own deck, and has a master bath with a very large shower and bathing bench. Wireless internet is throughout the home.
There is over 1000 square feet of decking to enjoy time outside and to relax in the hot tub après ski. There are speakers next to the spa so you can relax with music.
The garage fits 2 cars and there is parking for 2 other cars in the driveway. If you need to wax your skis / adjust your board there is a workbench in the garage by the stairs.
Every renter that has stayed in the house comments on how much they enjoyed the stay and how the house met or exceeded their expectations (just see the comments on the wall in the garage – please sign as well).
