This large, well-furnished flat has a magnificent view north over Puerto Vallarta and west over the Malecon and the Bay of Banderas. There is secure parking at ground level and no-step access to the apartment. The garden and pool give directly onto the Malecon just south of the bridge over the Rio Cuale. There are lots of good restaurants in walking distance, as well as shopping for food and clothing. The maid service is impeccable, and there are always staff people around if questions arise. Taxis are plentiful and not expensive, but the frequent buses, at 6.5 pesos a ride, are a real bargain. For an excursion, rent a car and drive to the Botanical Gardens a few miles south of Mismaloya, making sure to stop for lunch, and maybe even a swim in the Rio Horcones (on the property). Do not miss the sculptures on the Malecon--several express Latin magic realism wonderfully.

My boyfriend, parents, and I stayed at Casa del Sol for a week in October/November 2011, and we were absolutely blown away by the luxurious condo. We typically stay at an all-inclusive resort in town, but decided to try staying in a condo. After our stay at Casa del Sol, we will never stay at a hotel in PV again! The condo is beautifully decorated with African and Mexican inspired decorations. I cannot say enough about the view from the front balcony. We spent many wonderful afternoons and evenings sipping a glass (or two) of wine and watching the world pass by. It is so relaxing to watch the boats passing by and the children playing in the river, and we had fun trying to spot iguanas in the nearby trees. The bedrooms were wonderfully appointed and private. The bedding was incredibly comfortable, and the bathrooms were large. Although we did not utilize the third bedroom, I think it would be a perfect room for children. There are no windows in the third room, but it is still quite spacious. The kitchen had a variety of utensils and classy looking plates and dishes. One evening, we used a catering company called No Small Affair (whcih Marlene suggested) to cook dinner for the four of us. The food was absolutely delicious, and it was great to spend a wonderful evening on the patio sharing an intimate meal. We have traveled to Puerto Vallarta several times and have never been overly concerned about safety issues. For those that are slightly nervous to travel here, however, please rest assured that Molino de Agua is very secure. There are gates in front of the condo complex, and two employees who watch over the entrances. From the moment we contacted Marlene, we were floored by her professionalism and prompt communications. Her condo is impeccably maintained and luxurious. We look forward to returning in the future!
Owner response:Hello Brianne: WOW! You have made my day! It excites me to no end to have wonderful people like yourselves enjoy our condo as much as we do. I cannot thank you enough for your kind words. I must say doing this rental thing is so fun. We have been so very lucky to meet such wonderful people. I will look forward to working with you anytime in the future. I am also glad you enjoyed Alex at "No Small Affair". He has made many guests very happy. It is so nice to stay in at least one night and be entertained by his talent. Again, Thank you!!!! Marlene

Where to start...The property's interior is relaxing, cool, and exquisitely designed. The deck is incredibly spacious. The pictures do not do it justice. The beech, restaurants, and shopping are all really close. Everything we needed was within a short walking distance. Many thanks to Marlene! She is incredibly organized and has put together a great book with plenty of activities and restaurant suggestions. Excellent vacation. Definitely one of the nicest places in PV!

Upscale/luxury condo. Close to beach & town, restaurants. Fantastic view, close to beach & restaurants. The furnishings, king beds w/luxury linens, artwork & kitchen facilities are all very great! The owner Marlene has not missed any detail & very easy to work with...local property manager Carlos so helpful. Clean, clean, clean! A perfect landing spot in our favorite place. Our friends stayed in another unit & they always wanted to spend time in your unit because of the atmosphere. Before we left we made reservation for a return in next year. Can't wait!!

This condo is amazing. We had a mini family reunion in March and mostly avoided Spring Breakers. The accommodations were beautiful yet not intimidating. The owners have gone out of their way to provide every amenity imaginable. With the gourmet kitchen, soft towels and luxurious linens, I felt like I was in a five star hotel. You can't beat the location with restaurants, the beach and the Malecon at your doorstep. The view of the bay is excellent and provides a perfect backdrop for meals or drinks on the terrace.
Owner response:Thankyou P & Z for your wonderful comments. We are so happy you loved "Casa del Sol" as much as we do. It is so gratifying sharing our piece of heaven with people like yourselves that appreciate Molino and Puerta Vallarta as much as we do. We will look forward to working with you again in the future. Sincerely, Marlene

3/13/10 We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful showplace and were sad when our time was up. The condo was "first class" in every way. The furnishings were comfortable, as well as beautiful. The view was spectacular! We would recommend this property to anyone, and hope to visit it again.
Owner response:Thankyou Cathy, We very much enjoyed working with you and hope to see you again sometime in the future.. Marlene

This is a beautiful condo with all the amenites one could wish for.My husband and I are sophisticated travelers who are use to luxury accommodations and this property was just perfect. The owners are lovely to deal with and want everything to be perfect for your stay. The location is excellent, walking distance to town and restaurants. I highly recommend this condo. 1/12/10-01/21/10.
Owner response:Carol: If it weren't for great people like you, we could not rent out our little bit of Paradise. You were not only fun to work with but took such wonderful care of our place. Happy travels and we hope you really do return to us someday. Hasta Luego! Marlene

We knew that this would be a nice place, but it truly exceeded our expectations. I would compare this easily to a Four Seasons resort, only more beautiful. In addition to being an incredibly decorated unit, it was also located right on the boardwalk off the Malecon so we were within walking distance to everything. I had the ability to view a different unit and it didn't come close to being as tastefully decorated as unit #609. We are already plannning a return trip.

This beautiful, beautiful place was the vacation of a lifetime. The view and surrounding beach front are fantastic. Pictures can not do justice to this condo and it's amazing decor. The beautiful beach and walking the Malecon were a few of the true highlights. Specific to this condo.... We loved watching the Iguanas on the large tree just off the beautiful and very comfortable deck. The couches are cushy with lots of plush pillows and the luxury king beds are like no others I have ever slept in on a vacation or at any hotel. I loved cooking in the kitchen with all the updated dishes and cooking utensils. Everything I neded was there.....and more. I want to thank Marlene, the owner, for all your help in planning our trip. You were so helpful, and made our trip easy and fun. We will definately return to your vacation home and will consider no other!! I will highly recommend it to my friends. Thank you so much!

We had our third Girls week in PV and this was by far our best. We LOVED our accomodations at Casa Del Sol #609. WE felt like we were at the Four Seasons but even better because of the location. Even the extra twin sleeper sofa was luxurious. WE loved walking to everything and you could tell the owners wanted us happy with all their attention to detail. We definitely will put our reservation in early for next year

This is the most beautiful place we have ever stayed. 5 Star all the way! Words connot describe the magnificence of this unit, the owners spared no expense, everything is 1st class!!! (from linens to glassware) We went over the holidays and will definately be coming back. Everything is in walking distance, right on the beach, close to shopping and we only got a cab once during our stay. I definately would recommend this unit to anyone wanting breathtaking views, enjoying state-of-the-art technology and luxurious accommodations. Have Fun!
