Super-Luxury Apartment in the Heart of Rome
Year Purchased: 2009
Why the Owner Chose Colosseo Foro Romano (Coliseum & Roman Forum)
The apartment is located in the historical neighbourhood of Trastevere. Trastevere is among the most ancient and picturesque neighbourhoods of the city.
The Unique Benefits at this Condo
Restaurants, bars, cafès and cinemas in all the windy streets and alleys liven the area up, especially in the warmer months when tables spill out onto the sidewalks and the streets and piazzas become a large meeting place or salotto.

Location, Location, Location, perhaps this apartment is located in one of the best sections of Rome (for tourists and residents). Most of the top ten attractions in Rome are easily accessible by foot, bus or Metro. The apartment is as advertised; spacious and convienient. Very special neighborhood resturants (Traverna Urbana across the street and Birra Peroni on Via del Boschetto were especailly good). Don't forget to visit the street market on Via Cesare Balbo for fruits, veggables and more. We had a great time just being Romans. Suggest you Google 12 Via Urbana to get a great view of the location and a picture of the front door.

We rented this apartment in late June 2011 and are a family of 4 (2 daughters ages 11 and 14). This spacious, quiet apartment is located near metro stops, train station and the Colosseum and other Roman sites. The neighborhood is full of restaurants, shops, markets and bars, but the apartment is extremely quiet. The pictures do not do it justice. The kitchen is completely furnished and we frequently ate in with wonderful produce and meats from the market downstairs. The bathrooms were very spacious and modern, yet the building felt old in a historical way. Our 14-year old daughter enjoyed looking out into the courtyard while writing her journal. We all enjoyed Rome, but the apartment made it easy and convenient. We used the airport transfer offered and it was fantastic. The transaction went smoothly both prior to arriving in Rome and while in Rome. The air conditioning was a definite plus, but it did not always keep up with the heat (at least by American standards). We highly recommend this apartment.

This is a very nice two bedroom two bath apartment. The living room has comfortable well lighted furniture; the kitchen is well equipped; there is a dining area; the beds are comfortable; the bathrooms are good. It was clean and quiet. It is a perfect apartment for two couples because of its size and the two bathrooms. It location is good. It is a ten to fifteen minute walk to the train station (no need for a taxi) and to the coliseum. It is near two metro stops and is within walking distance of the sights of the center of Rome. The neighborhood is interesting; populated by real Romans; not over run by tourists. There are good restaurants, groceries, bread and wine stores close by. The best meal I had in Rome was at the Osteria della Suberra, down the street. The nearby Caffe Libreria, on Via degli Zingara is a funky wine bar, with a great wine list and free wi fi. The owners and manager were very responsive to e mail enquires and the hand over of the apartment was accomplished smoothly. We were very happy with the apartment. For what we paid for one small noisy room in a second class hotel in Rome, we got a beautiful spacious apartment.

Stayed with my family of 4 in March. Loved the location which is in an up and coming area yet has the feel of genuine Roman life. Great cafe and shops right downstairs and a variety of very good and well priced restaurants in the vecinity. Management is efficient and very friendly. The apartment is in good condition and is larger than what can inferred from the pictures. Would recommend without hesitation.

We found this fantastic flat on VRBO.com while planning our family trip to Rome. It exceeded our expectations at every level! They arranged to pick us up at the airport and Nicola was there waiting for us at the door. She explained everything and said to call us at any hour if we needed something. There is a wonderful small market next door and a wonderful bakery opened early about 200' away. Wonderful little restaurants all around...what more could you ask for? Oh yes, the B line Metro is 2 blocks away. This place is beautiful and spacious and we have already recommended it to friends. Ciao!

Wonderful vacation in an apartment that was in a very central location for visiting the sites in Rome. The apartment was equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Nicola and Michael were very accomodating and a pleasure to work with. The area surrounding the apartment was filled with stores, shops and resturants and very near the subway.
Owner response:Thanks a lot.

The flat on Via Urbana was more than we had hoped for. It had plenty of living room space, a well equiped kitchen and separate dining room. Two very large bedrooms with large comfortable beds and two good sized bathrooms with showers made the accomodations just right for the two couples traveling together. One of our party had trouble walking but the elevator worked out perfectly. The immediate area has small grocery markets and a range of restaurants to choose from. Getting to tourist attractions was easy. Nicola was always available to help us out and gladly set up an early morning taxi to the airport when our visit was over.
