Stay Here When In Rome!

This is an absolutely perfect apartment for exploring Rome. Easy walk to both subway lines, great small restaurants, good markets. Well equipped kitchen. Eat in, then out. Safe neighborhood, very secure building. Very clean. Nicola is wonderful and a great resource. Ideal for two couples. We had a delightful time here that was the foundation of a great Rome experience.

Spacious, Well-Located Apartment in Heart of Rome

We were very pleased with our stay at this large apartment. Hospitality was fine and booking worked smoothly. There is a quite large living room and two large bedrooms. The baths are modern, and the kitchen is fine. There's a separate dining room, too. It's a short walk to Santa Maria Maggiore, where there is a good supermarket across from the basilica. If you are able and into walking, you can reach most of Rome's main attractions on foot. I recommend booking a limo from the airport. You can find them online for as little as 30 euros for a party of four. Cheaper than the train and much more convenient. I have rented 4 apartments in Rome, 2 in Paris, 3 in London, and 1 in Madrid. This one was the best of all.

Great Location

Location, Location, Location, perhaps this apartment is located in one of the best sections of Rome (for tourists and residents). Most of the top ten attractions in Rome are easily accessible by foot, bus or Metro. The apartment is as advertised; spacious and convienient. Very special neighborhood resturants (Traverna Urbana across the street and Birra Peroni on Via del Boschetto were especailly good). Don't forget to visit the street market on Via Cesare Balbo for fruits, veggables and more. We had a great time just being Romans. Suggest you Google 12 Via Urbana to get a great view of the location and a picture of the front door.

Fantastic location and apartment

We rented this apartment in late June 2011 and are a family of 4 (2 daughters ages 11 and 14). This spacious, quiet apartment is located near metro stops, train station and the Colosseum and other Roman sites. The neighborhood is full of restaurants, shops, markets and bars, but the apartment is extremely quiet. The pictures do not do it justice. The kitchen is completely furnished and we frequently ate in with wonderful produce and meats from the market downstairs. The bathrooms were very spacious and modern, yet the building felt old in a historical way. Our 14-year old daughter enjoyed looking out into the courtyard while writing her journal. We all enjoyed Rome, but the apartment made it easy and convenient. We used the airport transfer offered and it was fantastic. The transaction went smoothly both prior to arriving in Rome and while in Rome. The air conditioning was a definite plus, but it did not always keep up with the heat (at least by American standards). We highly recommend this apartment.

Great Family Apartment While Visiting Rome

Guest: Rod (San Francisco)
Date of Stay: 04/09/11 Review Submitted: 04/21/11

We found this fantastic flat on VRBO.com while planning our family trip to Rome. It exceeded our expectations at every level! They arranged to pick us up at the airport and Nicola was there waiting for us at the door. She explained everything and said to call us at any hour if we needed something. There is a wonderful small market next door and a wonderful bakery opened early about 200' away. Wonderful little restaurants all around...what more could you ask for? Oh yes, the B line Metro is 2 blocks away. This place is beautiful and spacious and we have already recommended it to friends. Ciao!

Great two bedroom near the train station and the coliseum

Guest: Will (Vermont, USA)
Date of Stay: 04/02/11 Review Submitted: 04/22/11

This is a very nice two bedroom two bath apartment. The living room has comfortable well lighted furniture; the kitchen is well equipped; there is a dining area; the beds are comfortable; the bathrooms are good. It was clean and quiet. It is a perfect apartment for two couples because of its size and the two bathrooms. It location is good. It is a ten to fifteen minute walk to the train station (no need for a taxi) and to the coliseum. It is near two metro stops and is within walking distance of the sights of the center of Rome. The neighborhood is interesting; populated by real Romans; not over run by tourists. There are good restaurants, groceries, bread and wine stores close by. The best meal I had in Rome was at the Osteria della Suberra, down the street. The nearby Caffe Libreria, on Via degli Zingara is a funky wine bar, with a great wine list and free wi fi. The owners and manager were very responsive to e mail enquires and the hand over of the apartment was accomplished smoothly. We were very happy with the apartment. For what we paid for one small noisy room in a second class hotel in Rome, we got a beautiful spacious apartment.

Wonderful Apartment in Excellent Location - Better than Advertised

Guest: Pisagua (Rockville, Maryland)

Stayed with my family of 4 in March. Loved the location which is in an up and coming area yet has the feel of genuine Roman life. Great cafe and shops right downstairs and a variety of very good and well priced restaurants in the vecinity. Management is efficient and very friendly. The apartment is in good condition and is larger than what can inferred from the pictures. Would recommend without hesitation.

Wonderful vacation in an apartment that was in a very central location for visiting the sites in Rome. The apartment was equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Nicola and Michael were very accomodating and a pleasure to work with. The area surrounding the apartment was filled with stores, shops and resturants and very near the subway.

Owner response:Thanks a lot.

Everything you need

Guest: William (New York, USA)
Date of Stay: 10/20/10 Review Submitted: 01/24/11

The flat on Via Urbana was more than we had hoped for. It had plenty of living room space, a well equiped kitchen and separate dining room. Two very large bedrooms with large comfortable beds and two good sized bathrooms with showers made the accomodations just right for the two couples traveling together. One of our party had trouble walking but the elevator worked out perfectly. The immediate area has small grocery markets and a range of restaurants to choose from. Getting to tourist attractions was easy. Nicola was always available to help us out and gladly set up an early morning taxi to the airport when our visit was over.

Too Good To Be True???

Guest: Four fans of Roma (San Francisco, CA)
Date of Stay: 03/26/10 Review Submitted: 05/02/10

That was my first thought when I read the VRBO description and saw the apartment pictures. I admittedly was a bit wary as there were no comments from previous guests, but as each inquiry to the owner/managers was answered so promptly, we decided it was the real thing. The place was fantastic: high ceilings, large rooms, cherry stained hardwood floors, beautiful artwork and architectural details, not to mention its great location. It is situated one block from Santa Maria Maggiore, about midway between the Termini Stazioni and the Colosseum, midway between the Metro A and B lines, each station 3-4 blocks away. Personally, we chose to walk most everywhere but when our 11 year old children were tired, the Metro was a convenient option. Downstairs from the apartment is an espresso bar where the locals hang out. Also beneath the apartment are two markets, one has a deli counter that sells all types of panini, a perfect lunch to grab on the go, the other market sells fresh fruits and vegetables. A half block away on Via Urbana is Panificio Monti, a wonderful bakery where you can purchase fresh pizza and baked breads and sweets. The kitchen was extremely well stocked with pots, pans and the like, but if you prefer to eat out there are many good restaurant choices, all close by. One of our favorite meals was at La Carbonara, close by on Via Panisperna, make reservations. If you are lucky enough to book this apartment for your Roman holiday you will not be disappointed.

Perfect location and charming apartment in the city center of Rome, with all the best equipment. We celebrate Christmas, here, in Rome and everything was really perfect. Warm welcome and staff allways at disposal for each extra request . For a good diner ( and romantic too ), we suggest the restaurant That's Amore, Via A. Depretis 83 ( 5 minuts walk ) On sunday morning, we enjoy a beautiful walking on "Roman Forum way" ( without cars on this day )
