Welcome to ”Happy Ours” where you can enjoy a slower pace of life at this beautiful waterfront destination located within the Coosawattee River Resort; a secure gated community. There is something for everyone at “Happy Ours”! Outside, you can fish, swim or tube in the river, play a round of horseshoes, roast marshmallows or hotdogs around the fire pit, or relax on the deck overlooking the river in one of the rocking chairs, porch swings or glider. Enjoy our book and movie collection or take an afternoon nap in the Hammock on the bank of the river. Don't miss spending some time in the Hot Tub viewing the abundant wildlife on the river while you are here. We know you will love it as much as we do!
This cozy cabin has three levels of covered sitting areas for relaxing and taking in all that Mother Nature has to offer. The Living room/Great room has cathedral ceilings and plenty of tongue and groove for that rustic mountain cabin feeling. A stacked stone wood burning fireplace and entertainment center are available for sitting in front of the fire and listening to CD’s or watching a good movie. The kitchen is fully appointed with all modern appliances, cookware, utensils and dinnerware place settings for eight. The upstairs master bedroom has a queen bed, with French doors leading to a private covered deck overlooking the river. The master bath has a jetted tub and separate shower. The first floor bedroom has a queen bed, with French doors leading to the main deck. The bathroom has tub/shower and a washer/dryer for your convenience. The loft sleeping area has a queen bed with desk and sitting area.
Often, we find we can enjoy our stay at “Happy Ours” without ever leaving the house. But there is plenty to do within the neighborhood and nearby. This summer camp-like resort encompasses over 8,500 acres with amenities that include a recreation area with an indoor heated pool, volleyball court, tennis courts, miniature golf, exercise room, and game room. Outdoor pools, five parks, a fishing pond, hiking trails and an equestrian center are also on-site. These amenities create the perfect atmosphere for a family vacation. Nearby, you can visit Amicolola Falls, rent a boat at the marinas on Carter's Lake or Lake Blue Ridge for fishing, skiing, etc. White-water rafting, hiking, and mountain biking are also available within driving distance. The towns of Ellijay and Blue Ridge have numerous quaint antique shops and a multitude of options for dining.
Fall Festivals: Georgia Apple Festival in Ellijay, Oktoberfest in Helen, Sorghum Festival in Blairsville, Georgia Mountain Fall Festival in Hiawassee. The “Happy Ours” are endless!

We had an awesome stay at your lovely cabin. I couldn't believe my eyes when we got there! You guys really know how to accomodate and decorate. You thought of everything! We hated to leave the cabin the next day to go grocery shopping but when we got back, we just played and played with our kids and acted like kids ourselves. My leg muscles are sore from walking in the water so much but it was worth it. The yard is level, the water is right in the back yard, you have a ton of movies for all ages, the cabin is just absolutely wonderful!!!! I MEAN, WHAT MORE COULD YOU ASK FOR----. It was great! Thank you so much for taking care of your guest so well and providing such a wonderful place to share with others. We have already given your info to some guest/friends that came into our restraunt tonight. I hope they do call you and do not pass up a wonderful opportunity. Thans again,

We have rented many vacation properties from VRBO in the past, but "Happy Ours" by far exceeding all of our expectations. The cabin was exceptional clean and comfortable, with possibly the best location/lot on the Coosawattee River. The owner provided all the comforts of home that you could possibly need and so many little things that you normally wouldn't expect from a rental such as: fresh cut flowers, a basket of snacks and smore makings, flip flops for the hot tub, designer soaps for the bathrooms, flashlights(that actually work), fire starter for the camp fire, paper plates,cups, cooking seasonings, etc.... etc...., the list goes on and on. We had the most relaxing getaway in recent memory. Our children ranging in age from 4-18 all enjoyed spending their time in the river fishing, swimming, and tubing. It was calm enough for our 4 year to safely wade and swim to his hearts content, no one wanting to leave. We will definetely return when time allows.

Thank you so much for sharing your little piece of the world with us. It was everything we hoped and more! We truly felt as if we were being hosted by a member of our family because of the thoughtful "extras" you left for us. My husband and I and also our son have been blessed to vacation all over the world & Happy Ours is 5 star in our book. From the senic views to the crackling fireplace at sunset, this get-a-way has been a perfect escape from the hustle and hurry of life in Atlanta. Oh....& thanks for ordering up the perfect fall air, constant white tailed visitors & honking geese. My son (2 years old) was in HEAVEN!! He even said, "Mommy this place is so fun!". I think that sums it up. We hope to visit again soon.

Gary and Gwen, The family and I LOVED the cabin. As soon as we pulled up Friday evening we could see the glow pouring from the windows. As soon as we opened the door and smelled the wonderful smells we knew we were in for a wonderful weekend. The extra special touches, like the birthday balloon and flower, made us feel like we were staying with family. The flip-flops for the hot tub, the makings for SMORES, and the DVDs you had on hand were maginficent! Early Saturday morning we were able to see the sun make its way over the mountain across the river, casting a warm, peaceful hue over the entire area. Being able to relax on the hammock with a kid on each shoulder, listening the the honks of the geese and the water rushing by was heavenly! Our day exploration took us to the busteling city of East Ellijay, where good BBQ and antique/collectible shops thrived. It was so nice to walk around the downtown area, peeking in the many shops on the main street. One item that was not mentioned to me was all the deer in the resort! We made it a point to ride around spotting them on the road and in the woods. A flock of wild turkeys were spotted as well. We enjoyed that family time together and forged memories that will stay for us for a long, long time. This stay has inspired us to bring more family to the area next time. We hated to leave on Sunday, but knew that the real world awaited us on Monday morning. Thank you for such a wonderful weekend. You provided top notch service, an immaculate space, and numerous treasured memories.

Thank you for the many special touches that made our stay a treat. The house was just as pictured online and the river is gorgeous! Extras like the hand soap, paper products, flowers and popcorn made us feel right at home. We had a wonderful Thanksgiving at "H.O." that our family will always treasure!!
