Our island is about 12 miles long and only about a mile wide - more than 75% of Sanibel is preserved as wildlife areas including the land owned by the city, the J.N. "Ding" Darling National Wildlife Refuge - voted the best refuge in the nation. Pointe Santo features 600 feet of beachfront and it's right outside our lanai.
