A lovely ranch retreat

We really enjoyed our stay at the ranch very much. The rental property is wonderful--comfortable, well-maintained, relaxing and nicely suited to the heat of Redding. Our two young children had a great time swimming and watching the horses. While we had some initial hesitation because of one negative review, we strongly concur with the other favorable reviews that have been written.

We stayed in the 2 bedroom downstairs Villa. First of all we want to say a BIG “THANK YOU” Lisa for the wonderful hospitality in sharing of your home. This is our second time around and again the peace and quite and the serenity of your Villa was again as expected. It is very well equipped with all the necessary things a home has. If there is something you need Lisa is there asking if you needed anything or if not to please let her know and she is more than willing to make you comfortable in everything that you might need that would make your stay like home. Lisa is very accommodating because we bought 2 Jet Skis, and she had no problem at all with these. The grounds, are well kept up, the fact that there are horses all around are a beautiful change. And as anybody knows they, the horses can be quite characters. I love to which they play and boy does Lisa have control over them - It’s funny to watch!!! She has a dog named “Morgan” again quite a character - Lovable and sooooooo Cute!!! We had dinner by the pool side with Lisa and the other vacationers one evening and it was delightful - And very enjoyable. Since we have stayed there before, we will keep on coming again, and again, and again!!! Looking forward to Lisa’s Welcoming.

We include everyone who wants to be apart of and if you didn't you are surely afforded your privacy. This year was particularly good fun and the combination of people and cooks were terrific!

We had the most wonderful experience at this location! My husband and I moved to Redding for a month with our three young children to attend Bethel School of Worship, and have nothing but excellent things to say about our stay! We moved out a couple weekends (because the estate was already booked prior to us making reservations), and the owner set us up at her other home during that time, in beautiful Lakehead, up the roadl! All this to say, the owner went out of her way to accommodate us the time we were there. She even allowed for us to store some of our things we didn't want to move in her personal garage! The site is immaculate to the nth degree; everything is clean and organized. There may be items left in the refrigerator, such as condiments and such that you wouldn't want to buy for a short stay, so the owner keeps them there to share with guests. The closets were cleared out completely and we felt very much at home in our own space! The owner was very kind to our family and even offered for our boys to help her feed the beautiful horses, which was a highlight of their trip! She takes such pride in her place and wants everyone to feel at home. She does live on-site in another guest house, but never once did we ever feel our privacy was compromised! If anything, we enjoyed the company and had around the clock care if we needed anything or had any questions. The pool was also a big treat for my kids, and there is the biggest playground/water park in town, right down the road from the house! The property is fenced in and gated, and is only accessible with a gate code. My troubles were put at ease knowing we were safe and secure. I would HIGHLY recommend staying at this location, and will come back to this home each time we visit Bethel (which I hope is VERY often)! If you have any doubts, I hope my review has changed your mind. Great landlord. Great place. Great location. Great price. Overall GREAT experience!

This Ranch is Beautiful!

We were hesitant about renting at a ranch but found the home and horse facilities to be very beautiful. The grounds are in perfect condition. Lots of beautiful shade trees. Walk the grounds, listen to the birds and see the horses. We enjoyed several evenings by the pool in the courtyard and cooked dinner right there on the BBQ. It made a great way to end the day after a peaceful days at Bethel church. Only 5-7 minutes away just down I-5. We were informed prior to booking that several people through Bethel had utilized the facilities and after our stay we can see why. Inside the house it was very complete. Providing several toiletries and condiments for use if we had forgotten anything. The beds were all great and home is furnished with some very beautiful antiques that must have taken years to collect. We were advised in advance that there were breakables and we put anything up the the kids could reach that might be damaged. We settled right in feeling at home and safe behind the locked gate that you must have a code for to enter the property. Thank you for making our trip so wonderful. We wil lbe recommending this home to others members of our church coming to visit Redding/Bethel.

Warning........Do not do it!

We rented this location for a great family get together. It was a complete disaster. When we arrived the kitchen frig was full of condiments from previous renters and the owner. We were intally creeped out by that. Later after grocery shopping we realized the freezer was full of old food as well. I had to contact the owner and complain only to have her state "it was a bonus as some of the items were not opened". To our family that is yucky. We'd prefer to arrive with the house in tip top shape with everything spotless and ready to be used. Many of the dishes, cups ect are of the personal nature and not ones you typically find in a rental home. The owner is on premise staying in teh pool house so you see her often as she complains about where you park stating she needs "room to move the horse trailers" which were never moved the entire time we were there. We were trying to be on a much needed vacation and relax, but never did we feel like we could even breath. The owner works there, so she is in the house you rent upstairs in her office in the space again, you pay for and rent. So that is also creepy and uncomfortable. She enters the space you rent (her personal home) when you are not there so you feel violated to say the least. She leaves little notes stating that you should turn the lights off ect... Kind of like having a mom on site. Unfortuantely we were all adults. Personal items of shampoo,perfume, clothes in closets ect exist throughout the entire home making it feel like you are merely a house guest of a person whom you do not know. It is a difficult situation. I do not recommend it for any one.

One family came to enjoy the peace and quiet of a ranch and fill themselves with spirit. The other family (with many complaints) came as a wedding party, even though we specifically state "no weddings, no wedding parties, no parties or events." This is upscale ranch living. It is peaceful, quiet and in the country but very close to all conveniences. We also try to provide many conveniences in the home. We hope you'll appreciate us as we appreciate you!

We loved it! Everything they say it is, it is! Photos are accurate and the owner is pleasant but not intrusive at all. Quiet, convenient and comfortable. The property, even in winter, is lovely! This ranch is well located in Redding! Ask them about their cabin up the mountain too, it's only about 25 minutes from ski and snowboarding!

This home has so much to offer, it is quiet and peaceful. We stayed once in their 2 bedroom and then this year we stayed in the 4 bedroom as a family. The horses are well maintained and there are surprisingly no flies. Aleasha
