'Blueberry Hill Log Cabin' is a wonderful, peaceful and quiet home away from home. Open since September 2003, we have made many new friends and enjoyed repeat guests.
Blueberry Hill is a traditional log cabin. We have furnished it with everything you will need for your visit to Asheville and hopefully many other items you might not find in other rentals.
Sit on the front porch and relax, or enjoy our indoor Hot-Tub and wood burning fireplace. It is large enough for a small family or a group of six.
The cabin is tucked away on 22-acres, surrounded by and fall foliage trees. Wild Blueberry bushes dot the hillside, which is how the name was chosen.
You will feel far away from everything when staying here - but actually the heart of town is just 10 miles down the road.
Sharing our 22 acre piece of heaven we also have a few family pets that are within a very short walking distance for adults and children alike to enjoy. Just down the hill at the Big Red Barn we currently have 3 goats, 2 chickens, 2 mini cows and a mini horse...10 wild turkeys

We stayed at Blueberry Hill in September of 2012 and greatly enjoyed it. The cabin is clean and well maintained, and the hot tub is awesome after a long day of walking in the city or hiking in the mountains. It's location is excellent, as it's so nice to be able to spend the day in the busy city and then return to the peace and quiet of the secluded cabin. We'd recommend this cabin to anyone traveling to Asheville!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, sightseeing, families with young children, romantic getaway, adventure seekers.

We stayed at Blueberry Hill Log Cabin in May of 2012, and enjoyed it very much. Our only regret was not having more than two nights to stay, and being so busy that we had little time to just stay "home" and enjoy the space. Comfortable beds, and nicely decorated. There were three of us - me, my husband, and our young daughter. The washer and dryer are pretty loud (or maybe the closet they're in has very thin walls), but I was glad to have a washer/dryer; we only had to run it once. The cabin's location is a 15 minute drive from downtown Asheville, but you feel like you are deep in the woods! We were there on the night of a full moon and it was set right outside the top floor's bedroom window - beautiful! My little girl liked the children's videos and the rocking chairs. I enjoyed the kitchen and bed, and my husband appreciated its cleanliness - and the hot tub. If we ever visit Asheville again, we would stay here in a heartbeat. A very good value, with room for all three of us, and the owners were pleasant in all our interactions.Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with young children, romantic getaway.

Blueberry Hill Cabin is a lovely property. Very well maintained, wonderfully stocked, decorated beautifully and in a perfect location. We felt like we were far away from it all, but were really just a short drive away. We had a great time in Asheville. There is so much to do and the scenery is beautiful. Staying in this cabin truly added to our total vacation experience. If we ever return to Asheville, we would not hesitate to stay at Blueberry Hill again. Thank you Kelly and Jim -- you have a terrific property!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, sightseeing, families with young children, romantic getaway.

My husband, son, sister and I stayed at Blueberry Hill for a weekend while we were in town for a wedding. It is conveniently located but yet you feel as if you're "away from it all". The property is beautiful, quiet and secluded. We were welcomed by Kelly who took my son down to the barn for a tour of all the animals. He thoroughly enjoyed the tour and I'm sad to say I missed it! The decor of the cabin is cute, quaint and was roomy enough for the four of us. There were lots of amenities for us to enjoy but we were too busy with our wedding festivities to enjoy them thoroughly. Therefore, we will definitely opt for Blueberry Hill on our next trip to Asheville.Recommended for: Age 55+, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children, romantic getaway, adventure seekers.

My wife and 3 year old spent 5 nights at the Blueberry Hill Cabin. As previously noted, its a great cabin that is well equipped and beautifully maintained. The location is close to Asheville and sites like the Biltmore (15 min). The property has a barn with very friendly animals, which was the key for booking this for us. My 3 year old loved to feed the minature horses, Chickens, and the goat. Definately a bonus to the property. Jim and Kelly were great and accomidating.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, families with young children, romantic getaway, adventure seekers.

My husband, son and I stayed in the Blueberry Hill Cabin for 2 nights. We loved it! It was peaceful and beautiful. We enjoyed cheese, crackers and wine on the porch for dinner. Both nights, we relaxed in the hot tub before turning in. It has been a long time since I have been in an area where the only sights and sounds are from nature. We wished we lived closer because we would love to make this an annual getaway. I would suggest not trying to find the cabin at night because it is pretty secluded. This cabin was exactly as described. I would recommend this cabin to anyone looking for a clean, quiet place.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children, romantic getaway, adventure seekers.

This was a very nice, clean, well-stocked cabin to stay in. The location was perfect to get to Asheville, Black Mountain and other neighboring cities. The cabin was so quiet and restful. The owners are very kind and they were available if we needed anything. We enjoyed ourselves so much and so thankful we were able to get away for a few days. Thanks again Jim & Kelly!Recommended for: Tourists without a car, families with teenagers, sightseeing, families with young children.

Owner info

About the owner: Jim and I have been married now for almost 22 years. We honeymooned in a cabin very much like Blueberry Hill in a small town in Ga. We also enjoyed an indoor hot tub and that is the biggest reason we have chose to have one on our property. Jim is a microbiologist and I am a nursing student. We have 4 children growing up very rapidly and enjoy life outdoors and camping.
Why the Owner Chose Asheville:
Mentioned above, we honeymooned in the local area. Dec. of 1990 and enjoyed the second week in a secluded and tucked away small cabin with an indoor hot tub.
The Unique Benefits at this Cabin:
Blueberry Hill log cabin sits on 1-acre country setting. It's peaceful and quite and very private. Luckily if you forget anything at the store it's also very convenient.
