My husband and I have traveled extensively to beach area destinations. In the past we have had some wonderful stays in some beautiful resorts by simply taking the time to sort through the internet. We made a vow that we would never go the same place twice since there are so many wonderful places to visit. We first broke that vow 5 years ago when we decided that we loved the PV surrounding area after we had found a new resort in the far South area we just loved, out of the "busy-touristy" area such as where the cruise ships enter. We also found that we were not interested in an "all inclusive" situation since PV was such a great, fun spot to explore the culture with so many great dining options. We loved going off the beaten path taking the mexican bus or taxi and experiencing wonderful Mexican people and their clean little towns surrounding PV. We had not tried a house before and Casa de Suenos Magicos looked very nice on the website, yet it was over an hour from the airport. Our biggest worry was that it wouldn't be all that the website projected. We may now have to break our vow again and return as many times as Don allows us to! This place was BEYOND anything the website had capabilities of showing. San Pancho was the most delightful little town, great food restaurants, never felt the least bit uneasy for our safety. I have felt more uneasy in some U.S. Cities than I have in PV area. Don was such a great host and filled us in on all the little details we needed. The house was spotless, nicely furnished, with comfort. The pool FABULOUS and always clean & warm. Maty is an amazing cook and a wonderful person to be around as she took care of so many things for us. Don was so attentive to his property and such a pleasant guy to chat with yet he fully respected our privacy at the house. As time allows I really want to return again and again bringing family with me. The house is set up so well for small family get togethers. The beach-I can't say enough about the beach-cleanest beach I have been on since I stayed five star in Hawaii, the difference is the LACK of crowds and people. We were there in January and the most we saw for a couple miles on any given day were about 12 people. The waves were perfect for surfing or body surfing. The beach wasn't rocky in any way-nice clean 4 miles of sand just a stones throw from the house. At the house Don has a rooftop deck available for the amazing sunsets! A TRULY magical home away from home.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We have stayed at several homes in S.P. over the years and Casa De Suenos Magicos is by far the most exquisite experience ever! The house, the pool, and location is incredible. DO NOT stay here without having Maty cook for you! She is an expert chef works her butt off for a ridiculously reasonable price. Best meal in town and the cheapest too! Yes Ola Rica is a must, but peso for peso you will not be disappointed with anything about your stay at this lovely home! The price is right and the atmosphere is unrivaled in all of San Pancho. Don is easy to work with and clearly takes pride in this property. Exquisitely appointed, comfortable beds with AC in the bedrooms, and a pool area that is so inviting the only thing that draws you away from the beach and the margaritas in the sand is knowing you have that amazing pool to come home to. Don't walk, RUN to this house! We WILL be back as soon as possible! Thanks for everything Don!!!!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway.

Just spent a wonderful week in San Pancho with our 4 year old. The house was absolutely beautiful, located less than a mile from the town center via the road, shorter if you walk the beach. Loved the view and plenty of use in the pool. Don was there to greet us upon arrival and very helpful. Maty did a wonderful job preparing some fantastic meals. If you're looking for a great, peaceful getaway in a wonderful part of Mexico, this is it.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

My husband and I along with our 2 teenagers spent our Spring Break at Casa de Suenos Magicos. The home was a perfect choice for us. The bedrooms were large and comfortable and the kitchen and main living area was also very large, comfortable and well equipped. Ceiling fans and lighting options were everywhere. My kids were a bit disappointed that they didn't find other kids their age to hang out with so we made full use of the pool & volleyball net as well as the satellite TV & DVD's & music system. It is clear that the owners put a huge amount of thought into designing this home as every possible need was met. The setting is beautiful too. We loved the rooftop terrace and walking through the neighborhoods nearby. We thoroughly enjoyed the walk into town both through town and along the beach. It had been several years since we last visited San Pancho and we were very pleasantly surprised to find that it has really been upgraded and everything was clean and very beautiful. Unfortunately the owners were not able to be onsite the week that we visited, but Don was still most helpful through email. I would definitely stay here again and would highly recommend this home to just about anyone.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We stayed at this property for 5 wonderful days in the great town of San Pancho. Everything is as advertised! The property is beautiful and is very clean. Don is an excellent host and is very helpful with any information you need about the area. We would definitely stay here again. I would make sure to visit the next door restaraunt Mar Plata- excellent beef filet with mushroom sauce! Also, Maria's has an absolutely wonderful breakfast menu. You really can't go wrong with the food in town. Try Las Palmas for a margarita on the beach- ask for Emileo!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

This property is exactly as described...paradise! We loved this place and were sorry when it was time to leave. The pool...what can I say...it's salt water and heated and just the place to float around after a long day exploring San Pancho. Don is a fantastic host and was available to answer questions and book drivers to explore the surrounding areas along the Nayarit Coast. Maty, the housekeeper is also available to cook meals...her tamales are to die for!!!! This house is conveniently located. It's about a 15 minute walk along the beach into the little town of San Pancho...a little longer if going by road as the cobble stones are a little hard to walk on. The town has a surprising number of shops and restaurants. You can have a nice breakfast at Taza de Cafe and pick up groceries at El Indio on your way back to the house. There is also a wonderful restaurant right next door to Casa de Suenos Magicos...Mar Plata...we ate there twice in the week that we were in San Pancho. The food was delicious. We hope to return. Thanks Don.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, tourists without a car, romantic getaway.

My wife, daughter and I spent a magical week before Christmas 2010 at the aptly named casa. What you get is a like-new condition home a block and a half from the beach. At the far end of the beach from town, there were literally only handfuls of people anywhere within sight. The beach is gorgeous; a long, wide white sandy beach with comfortable water temperature in which my daughter I boogey boarded daily. The home is designed for the owner to live above the rental portion on the second floor. While that proximity might concern some, what one gets with owner on premise is a home in immaculate condition, lovingly furnished with grounds and pool cleaned daily. This is not your standard rental decorating package. Don, a very friendly gentleman, knows how to get his work done with the least intrusion possible, but is also willing to chat and inform about goings on in and around town. The pool is long enough to swim laps comfortably, deep enough for adults, but tapered for kids, and desigend to accomodate volleyball if desired. There is an adjacent outdoor cabana we enjoyed breakfast in daily. At the other end of the pool are comfortable chairs and table. The kitchen is fully equipped. We enjoed use of a coffee maker, toaster, oven and stove top, refrigerator, and great dishes and bar glasses. Can't drink a margharita out of just any glass! Adjacent to the kithcen is a very spacious dining area and living room that can accomodate lots. A small bathroom is off this space. Outside to the left is where the two main bedrooms are situated. Both have attached bathrooms. There are screen doors should you wnat to let the nightimte air in or solid glass doors for more privacy. Beds were delightful. I am a finicky sleeper. No problems here! A safe is also provided in the room. The casa is located in a residential neighborhood about a 15 minute walk via the beach or a bit more direct by the roads. Pro/con, it is also located to arguably the best restaurant in town. It is superb al fresco dining. The only downside of its location is that music is played from about 4-5 when they open until about 10 when they close.Randomly it was etiher soft and enjoyable or a bit too loud. One night a party at the restaurant played on until the wee hours which was annoying. But we came for peace and quiet and while I mention these they did not interfere with our ability to get it and enjoy an absolutely fabulous week in San Pancho. That is what the town and this casa does best.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Our family of six just spent a week in this gorgeous casa on the side of the jungle hill one block from the beach in San Pancho. I cannot say enough about the quality of our experience. This place is immaculently maintained by the owner Don who lives in an adjacent home. Don was helpful and accomodating without being intrusive. The pictures do not do justice, it is actually nicer in real life than appears in the posted pictures. The decor and lighting are beautiful and at night the outdoor areas were enchanting. The pool is very large and is surrounded by flowering plants. In the morning we watched humming birds while drinking tea by the pool and at night we sat at the outdoor palapa bar and listened to the quiet, soft jazz drifing over from the small upscale restaurant next door. Unlike some vacation rentals in Mexico all appliances are new and functional and there was always plenty of hot water for showers as well as purified tap water throughout the home for safe drinking. This property is suitable for all ages. Our teenage children loved the place as did my 90 y.o. mother and father-in-law. For people not familar with San Pancho this village is a hidden gem in the jungle 40 minutes north of Puerto Vallarta. The pristine 3/4 mile beach is often deserted much of the day and it is a relaxing 15 minute walk to the village center where a wide range of restaurants and shops await you. If desired the housekeeper Maty is available to prepare an authentic Mexican meal at the casa for a reasonable price. In the other direction a twisting, hilly dirt road winds through the jungle for miles. This is a very quiet and serene without the traffic, noise and hubub that characterizes Puerto Vallarta. We have stayed at many vacation rentals both in Mexico and around the US and this was overall the nicest by far. We will stay here again and highly recommend Casa de Suenos Magicos and San Pancho to anyone else looking for a vacation rental in the Puerto Vallarta area. Thanks again Don for making our recent vacation a special experience. We have been travelling to this part of Mexico for 7 years, starting our visits in La Cruz but quickly moving up the coast to San Pancho. The warmth and genuine nature of this town abounds and definitely spills over into Don & Shirley’s villa. We have stayed at Casa de Suenos Magicos 3 times already and will be returning. We are not the typical American tourists, who tend to go on vacation and run themselves ragged, only to return home more tired than before they left. We use our vacations to chill, unwind, and recharge, completely escape and disconnect from our busy, haggard lives. And Casa de Suenos Magicos is the place we’ve found that allows just that. It’s a place where you can absorb the solace and serenity of the area. From the lazy, quiet mornings, to the sun-drenched, tropical breeze filled days, ending with the warm and encompassing sunsets. With a host who senses each guests tendencies and reacts accordingly. It’s also a place that is in close proximity to everything up and down the Riviera Nayarit, so would allow the adventure to those seeking it. Bottom line, whatever magic you are looking for to fulfill your vacation can be found at Casa de Suenos Magicos.Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

This was my first visit to Mexico and I could not have imagined a better holiday. The accommodations were immaculate, comfortable, and definitely first class. Every morning I woke up and walked along the beach that was a 2 minute walk from my suite. What a fantastic beach, the sun and sand goes forever. The scenery along the walk is stunning. After the walk, I always followed it up with a leisurely swim in the amazing pool. Just a fabulous as the accommodations and surroundings were the hosts. They were absolutely the best and beyond compare. I will definitely be a returning customer.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

5 of us stayed at this house this past year while visiting on a volunteer dental project to San Pancho. The house was PARADISE to come home to at the end of our hot, long days with a magnificent setting and pool for pure relaxation. Immaculately kept, with waves pounding against the beach below, it's just a fabulous place to stay. Don went out of his way to assist us with our project, even helping us host a dinner for 17 around the pool while delivering items to town from his house to allow us to use during our work. While you may not need that while staying here, it's the kind of host he is. If you haven't been to San Pancho, it's a special place in so many ways and a stay at this house will give you a great home base. Plan to eat at Mar Plata right next door for one of the best meals you'll ever have, and check out the handful of other excellent restaurants less than 5 minutes drive away back into town. For a different experience, don't miss Taco Eva's on the hill for authentic, inexpensive Mexican food. We love San Pancho!!!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

i love this town so much i was scrambling for a real estate website to look for a property to move down there!! even more so i love this house. they really nailed the layout with the pool i never wanted to get out of!! also the restaurant next door was the best i've ever been to! somehow in the pictures i couldn't see how far from the beach we were gonna be but it is literally right across the street. i live in malibu and i will tell you, you don't want to be right on the sand... too many people walking right by the house and always wet and sandy and danger of stormy ocean. this location is it! it's on the quiet side of town and less people and everything is sweeeeeeeet!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Our family has stayed at Casa de Suenos Magicos the past two years and we have booked another week for Spring, 2011. The House of Magical Dreams is true to its name! As a landscaper from the midwest, this casa met my expectations of a vacation home from the immaculate condition of the house itself, to the amazing display of plantings - climbing, in the ground and potted! Don and his staff do a wonderful job keeping the property tidy. For us, there is hardly a typical day. We can stay by the pool with our beverages iced down under the palapa bar; stroll down the mile-long beach and have lunch at one of the beach-side restaurants; take a short drive to Sayulita and watch the surfers; dine in the evening at one of several first-class restaurants in the village; take in a polo match in San Pancho; experience a canopy tour in Puerto Valarta! And that's just a tiny sample! My family has become quite comfortable at Don's casa. Aside from the sense of security you get staying at a familiar place, you can rest assured that your experience will always be Five Star! Hats off to Don & Shirley! Their dream home has become our vacation reality!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

In March 2010, four of us stayed for two weeks & left wishing we were staying longer! The suite/rooms/grounds & pool were immaculate & the surrounding location made us feel we had our own corner of Heaven! The owners, as well as staff, went above & beyond to make us feel welcome! Their recommendations for restaurants in San Pancho were exactly what we wanted, as were their recommendations for golfing, siteseeing, shopping.........right down to buying our own seafood/groceries! It was an experience of a lifetime & we'll be returning in the near future!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

In march 2009, we stayed at Casa de Suenos Magicos and found the accommodations to be very clean, well-maintained and relaxing. We enjoyed swimming and playing volleyball in the salt water pool or strolling and swimming in the private beach only steps away. We also enjoyed some boogie-boarding. The fully equipped kitchen and living area were an added bonus. The small Mexican town of San Pancho, which is only a short walk away, is definitely worth checking out. All and all a memorable vacation in a lush, tropical area.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway.
