The Silverado Resort offers about the best local ammenities for living and sporting. The complex itself is a destination rather than just a hotel. There are numerous things to do and see around the area. But it still offers a very comfortable, private accomodations for individuals and families alike.

Great location for early morning walks/jogs before heading out for wine tastings. Close to grocery stores, shops and downtown but still felt like we were out in the country. Condo was clean, retro, and cozy. Liked that there were 2 TVs as during down time my husband and I do not like the same shows. We did have an issue with the air conditioner as temperature reached 105 couple of days but we were fairly compensated for the inconvience, maybe a couple of ceiling fans would be nice. Would recommend this property.

The location was only about 3 miles from the heart of Napa and tons of things to see and do. Unlike most other rentals, we had to discover all the info on our own as there was no info on restaurants or activities in the unit. The unit decor is somewhat tired, but nice. The carpet was very soiled and needs replacement. There were signs of deferred maintenance which should be addressed by the owner. Also, it was not specified that the laundry is not in the unit but is a coin-op on site, a negative for us. There is absolutely no early check-in so be aware! We were about 3 hrs.early and exhausted but had to drive around to wait for check-in time. The bathroom is serviceable but very small and the vanity area (tho very nice) is open to the bedroom. Beware if you have a situation of different wake up times as we do. The vanity lighting is great for makeup but miserable if your trying to sleep in. We didn't eat at the mansion or use the spa. We found local restaurants very nice, especially Pearl and Bistro Don Giovanni. Cooking here is a challenge, there are few pots. The grill on the patio is charcoal and needed cleaning so we didn't use it. There is a hot tub at the main pool but the pool nearest the unit doesn't have one. Also, it was clean and well maintained. We found lounging at the pool was preferable to the uninspiring patios. Since the unit is on the main floor, we didn't feel comfortable leaving or sleeping with the windows open and sometimes the unit became very warm. Apparently the A/C is very sensitive (there is a warning sign on the wall above the thermostat). Our deposit was refunded promptly, the bed was heavenly, and the unit was quietly located.

We had a fantastic time visiting Silverado and staying at this townhouse. If you have not been to the Silverado before, it is a gorgeous spa with golf, several pools, and a wonderful spa. The only problem with it is the townhouses are very spread out. My sister's townhouse was so far away she had to drive to get to the main building. This townhouse has a perfect location- only steps to the main pool (plus a pool right outside the door), the mansion and golf check-in. The condos are also individually owned so you are not sure what type of furniture, etc. you will get. This one is very well done and comfy. Lastly the owners are extremely responsive to your needs and really nice. We will definitely stay here again!
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, tourists without a car, families with young children, girls getaway, age 55+.

-Very cozy, comfortable place, pretty much all we needed and wanted-Nice quiet location-All the resort amenities: pool, clubhouse, spa, restaurant, golf, etc…-Wi-fi available, free, and worked!-Location, while not within walking distance, still close to everything we wanted by car. Only a few minutes to downtown Napa, groceries, and the main highways/roads into the valleys & wine country. Overall we had a very nice stay, and a lot of fun touring the countryside up there northwest of SF. It’s gorgeous this time of year (6/09). We got our bike ride in around Calistoga, hiked in Armstrong State Park (redwoods), walked the beach at Sonoma Beach SP at the mouth of the Russian River – beautiful drive down that river by the way, got our fill of wineries, ate at Don Giovanni’s, took in some live music and local brews at Downtown Joe’s, then tooled around SF the on last day.So I would recommend this place to anyone, and we would stay again if we came back.
