Location: Waimanalo Beach, East Oahu, Oahu, Hawaii, USA
Accommodations: House, 4 Bedrooms + Convertible bed(s), 4.5 Baths (Sleeps 10)
This spacious beachfront estate is a true experience of paradise. If you dream of getting off the beaten track, Waimanalo is your dream come true. Say goodbye to hotels, crowds, traffic, and noise...walk right outside the door to the secluded beach as part of your front yard.
From the beach you can see the historic lighthouse at Makapuu point and several of the small off-shore islands. With a view of the ocean from every room, this 4 bedroom, 4.5 bath home is a magnificent backdrop to your Hawaiian vacation.
Extended families and friends will enjoy the living room, full kitchen, and large upstairs lanai with ocean view. Relax on the front lanai as you sip your favorite drink and delight in the majesty of the Ko’olau Mountains.
Waimanalo has a small-town country feel, with small locally owned lunch stops and grocery shops mingling next to 24-hour convenience stores. Nearby, Kailua town has a large variety of restaurants, stores and services. Nightlife of Waikiki is a short drive away.
Getting some sun on Waimanalo Beach
VRBO Bear stayed here - 05/13/2009 This house is a water-loving bear's beach vacation paradise because the house sits on one of the finest swimming beaches anywhere! It allows easy beach access and comes stocked with boogie boards, fins, snorkels and beach towels. Outdoor showers and a beach-facing lanai ensured that this Bear could wash off all the beach sand before enjoying the nicely tiled and carpeted interior of the house.
Every room faces the beach, so you are guaranteed a beautiful view no matter where you are in the house. Plus, each bedroom has its own bathroom ensuring privacy for all guests. I woke up to a gorgeous sunrise on Waimanalo Beach. I took sunrise pictures from the lanai before brewing a pot of Kona coffee and cooking breakfast in the well-equipped kitchen. While I ate my breakfast, I watched cardinals and myna birds feed in the yard. My bear friends and I spent our days soaking up the sun and playing in the sand and waves.
Waimanalo is a small town so we did most of our grocery shopping and much of our dining in the nearby town of Kailua. Kailua is about a 15 minute drive from Waimanalo and it offers numerous restaurants, many with a uniquely island feel and Hawaiian cuisine. No matter what your appetite is Kailua has a restaurant to satisfy your hunger- pizza, burgers, Mexican food, Italian food and much more. In the mood for shopping? Kailua has everything from clothing stores to gifts shops.
Beach views, great swimming, snorkeling and comfy beds for a group of eight or ten bears make this a perfect place for a relaxing beach vacation!
