Location, location, location.....RAGGED EDGES cottage, built in 1936, sits on the rocks in the seaside town of Chamberlain/New Harbor with views of Long Cove, neighboring islands and Monhegan Island directly in front, 10 miles out to sea! Wonderful Maine summer cottage for adults as well as children with tidal pools out front for exploring, and a natural fire pit for bonfires. There are two bedrooms down, one with double bed, the other with twin beds. Two queen bedrooms on second floor, one with with small vanity & sink. Kitchen is compact but contains all that's needed plus more. There are 2 bathrooms, one down with shower, one half bath upstairs and the outdoor shower is delightful! All bath linens are provided. Crashing surf, magnificent sunrises and spectacular sunsets, brilliant starlit nights complete a special vacation. September and October are truly delightful as well with warm days, cooler nights, perfect for fireplace use. Location, location, location......

Our family is the 3rd one to own this cottage
since it was built in 1936. We purchased it
from an elderly woman who never had children
and she felt very strongly the next owners
had to have children to enjoy the tidal pools
and the oceanfront location! A truly special
spot....

Thank you for sharing this special place with us this past week. We've so enjoyed showing our baby girl the Maine coast life, reconnecting with family over the light of the kerosene lamp on the porch (and a glass or two of wine), and just listening to the waves and breathing the sweet salt air. The memories we've made are priceless and we thank you again for the generosity that allowed us to create them. Hope to return in the future.
