Newly built in 2009, Pirates' Playground Villa, professionally decorated and landscaped, offers a heated rooftop pool and a 1900 sq. ft. fully tiled and furnished sun deck, unique to Topsail Island, 6000+ sq. ft. of heated living space. Located on the most narrow part of the island, the ocean is just 150’ in one direction and in the other direction is Galleon Bay and a private man-made, quiet, deep water canal which affords access to the Intracoastal waterway and with a 15 minute boat ride to the ocean. Kayaking and small water craft are suitable in the canal. Upon arrival you will be met by a greeter/guide,Joe, who will show you the home and answer any questions you may have.

The Great Room has a fireplace, large screen TV with surround sound. It also has a full-size pool table and poker table and dry bar. A second living room with a full kitchen is located on the first floor.
This home is designed for large families but other groups are welcome, including wedding parties, corporate business meetings, and retreats. Topsail Island offers places and activities for people of different ages with different interests. You can easily slip away for time alone or enjoy family activities. THERE IS SOMETHING FOR EVERYONE.
Attractions in the area include Historic Wilmington, NC Aquarium, Battleship USS North Carolina, Ft. Fisher Historic Site, Camp Lejeune marine museums, and golfing at the North Shore Country Club or numerous other courses.
Pirates' Playground Villa (105 Bay Court) has a sister cottage next door, Boater's Launch (104 Bay Court) with six sleeping rooms, three baths, and many of the same amenities (ex cept no elevator). If you have a very large group, plan and reserve both houses early because Boaters Launch usually is booked for the summer by the end of January. This is also a nonsmoking property.
PRE BOOKINGS AND WEDDINGS: This home does NOT give the current guest first right of refusal for the corresponding week in the next year. When booking this home for a following year a $2,000 deposit is due within 2 weeks of booking. The balance of the first half of the rent is due by January 15. The deposit will apply towards the cost of the rental. The first party to book the home and send in the $2,000 deposit secures the home for that week. When a booking is secured you are guaranteed the rental rate posted at that time of booking (posted discounts apply only to current year). This home allows weddings and will allow pre-bookings for up to two years in advance. There is a $1,500 refundable damage deposit for all weddings in this home. There is a $500 non-refundable wedding/event fee.

What can we say...this place is the "bomb." The craziest house we've ever rented for our large family to get together. This year we are celebrating my Mom's 80th birthday. We have had a great week and the weather has been perfect. We walked, kayaked, tubed, boogie-boarded, body surfed, walked on the beach, ate and ate more! What a blast! Thanks for creating such a wonderful playground for the "pirates." The roof top pool and hot tub were so "off the hook." We loved it all. Thanks from the Keiths! Dear Brewer Family, It has been a wonderful week relaxing with folks (much less than most) in such an "enviornment!" We have been with groups down for the past 3 or 4 years and usually try to get 2 houses side-by-side to accomodate us. This year we began searching for a house in March-only to find none together for the week we needed and happened upon the website for 105 Bay Court, and decided with a house this size, we could pull our money together and it has been wonderful! I am a program manager at a day support program for the mentally ill in Richlands, VA. My other friends are managers of O.U.R. House in Grimly, Va and have brought their groups here as well. The members (and staff) fund raise all year long to make such a trip possible and through pictures and stories they will recount this week to others until it is time to come again next year. You have a beautiful home and thank you for sharing with so many others. Dr. Brewer, it was a pleasure meeting you tonight-and now I realize why we happened upon 105 Bay Court in our search for a vacation home this year. God placed us here and destined that we meet you on this trip. Our folks are so often stigmatized because of their mental challenges, but how refreshing to meet wonderful Christian people such as yourself who make a difference in others lives (some of whom you will never meet). We thoroughly enjoyed our week at the beach. We were very fortunate to obtain your place with a last minute reservation. We had 23 from Georgia, North Carolina, and Tennessee. The house was great. We loved the top deck so much that we did not spend as much time at the beach. The view was fantastic as was seeing the wildlife. We caught at least 2 dozen fish which was great! Erich and Karen, What a great family reunion and a great place to have it. I especially like the 3rd floor gathering place, which is big enough for everyone from the house. There is so much to do such as the root top pool, hot tub, in ground pool, beach boats, jet ski, darts, poker, and pool tables. A vacation paradise! The Hallancia's, Gossages, Gonza, and Cratsley enjoyed a beautiful week. We enjoyed the beach and the kayaking on the sound. The fishing was outstanding off the pier (7 lb Bluefish). We also enjoyed the trap as we made a delicious soup. The house exceeded our expectations as we have spent vacations on the OBX the last 10 years. This house by far is the best. Thank you to the owners for your attention to details. As we travel back to Western, NY we leave with fond memories.

Papa & Mimi, Your dream has finally come to be completed. You now have your "dream" home you will be able to share and enjoy with parents, family, friends, and many others for years and years to come. As many know this has taken about one year to build with many ups and downs and difficult struggles in the process. However, as those of you sit and read this in my parent's home can tell, it has been very much so well worth the wait. Mom, thank you for your patience over this last year. It has without a doubt been a gift from God himself. The decor in the house is wonderful and the "woman's" touch helps to warm the home and all the hearts that come in. All women say that behind every good man is a good woman. Erich, you have blown my mind with every design and ornate detail throughout each and every aspect of this home. I know that you came from a big family, and lets face it...With this and Boaters Launch you can bring them and everyone will be together. I'm so proud to have been with you many steps of the way throughout this journey. Now with that being said, for those of you who have come to Topsail Beach, North Carolina to spend vacation here at my parents home, I would ask that you use this journal to write to my parents, Erich and Karen Brewer. I was meeting most of these people for the first time, even though they are my family...they are my adopted family, but the closeness that happened here this week made them a part of my heart. We came here for my sisters wedding at Bella Luna, so even though this was automatically going to be filled with love and joy, this beautiful home made it so much more. My family is huge, loud, goofy, busy, and this home was its perfect match. The hot tub and pool were busy all week! Catching up at night and sunburns during the day. The late night laughter and the early morning chatter, my Mom and aunt getting stuck in the elevator (not a technical issue :-)). All these events gave me real family memories and created bonds where they were none. The amazing details and thoughtfulness that went into your dream home created our dream home. Thank you for all your hard work and love. Everyone stood in awe of this home and for a moment forgot all the problems of our lives...and the women stood in awe of the laundry and multiple dishwashers. Thanks Karen Brewer for that! I will leave here with more than I expected, love and relationships I will treasure. Thank you, Priscilla (Bride's sister)
