"Mountain Home Lodge" Inspiring Alaskan Mountain Views
Year Purchased: 2003
Why the Owner Chose Willow
The property was originally purchased in 1976 by Beth's parents. This was the cabin Beth grew up in. In 2003 Beth and Jon and their 3 children moved to Alaska and were able to realize a DREAM of owning the family property. Extensive remodeling took place in the main cabin. Many happy memories with family and friends were made. We also had an addition of another child to our home .... this time in in our home! In 2008 our family moved out of state for a new job which provided the unique opportunity to open "Mountain Home Lodging". Another dream has been realized to share our unique property with others.
The Unique Benefits at this Cabin
Looking out over thousands of acres in the Talkeetna mountains is the inspiring view right from our living room window. Abundant wildlife, includes watching the beavers, a variety of ducks, eagles, and visits from moose and bear are just a sample of mountain life. Mountain Home Lodge is a peaceful and private setting that rejuvenates the soul! Our family has enjoyed hiking, four-wheeling and snowmobiling in these mountains since I was a child and now, so has the next generation. A favorite and frequently asked question of the cousins and children is "When can we go to the mountain?"
