Our return stay was every bit as enjoyable as our first visit 4 years ago. Caroline's attention to detail has no equal - supplies for breakfast (even a double yolk egg among the farm fresh eggs), flowers, etc. Enjoyed day trips to the countryside - NM is beautiful in late October!! And the weather was spectacular - sunshine every day - perfect for sitting outside and enjoying a good book. Finally, suggestions of restaurants (frequented by Santa Feans) - Tortilla Flats and La Choza - were perfect. Hope to return again.

This is a terrific place to stay! It is only a few minutes to downtown Santa Fe, but is out away from the traffic and hubbub. You can watch TV, take a walk in the countryside, or just relax on the patio and enjoy the view of the mountains and the ambiance of the New Mexico countryside. The accommodations are wonderfully comfy and cozy, and Caroline is a great hostess. She has thought of everything to pamper her guests--from fresh eggs and flowers to a closet full of books and DVDs. We highly recommend Caroline's accommodations and hope to return soon.

This was our first trip to Santa Fe. We wanted affordable accommodations which would also allow us to travel with our two small dogs. I looked all over the VRBO site and found Caroline's listing. She had so many good reviews that I felt we couldn't go wrong. I'm happy to report that all of the reviews are accurate. She is a gracious hostess and includes so many small touches which make being away from home more comfortable. She loaned us her GPS which really made finding our way around town, up to Taos and out to Bandelier so much easier. If you are looking for a true Santa Fe experience this is the place to stay. Thanks Caroline!

Great casita! Caroline, the owner, is delightful, helpful, informative and just plain nice. The rental is decorated nicely and is very warm and cozy. The fruit, fresh flowers and eggs were a wonderful surprise (I had forgotten the reviews mentioned this) and the fresh towels and trash removal was another wonderful surprise. My sister and I had a girls getaway and was a perfect place to stay. While not within walking distance to the Plaza it is a short and easy drive to it (10 minutes maybe). Strongly recommend this casita. You won't be disappointed!

Caroline's casita was a cozy home-away-from-home for our visit to Santa Fe. While we went for the opera, we enjoyed the Chamber Music Festival and art galleries as well as hiking and biking during our stay. The casita is compact but has all the amenities including a large bed, comfy living space, kitchenette, cute bath and southwestern patio for enjoying breakfast or happy hour. Caroline is the best hostess, caring for us when we needed something and being a friendly neighbor. Her home is located in a quiet, naturally landscaped neighborhood about 15 minutes drive from Santa Fe Plaza; close enough to enjoy the city and far enough to relax in the solitude of New Mexico junipers. Overall, this is a quiet, relaxing, fun place to stay while you enjoy all that Santa Fe offers. We will certainly stay here again!

Our stay here was very relaxing and enjoyable. The room was clean and comfortable. With the special touches Caroline does, it makes you feel at home. The fresh eggs, fruit and little "extras" were all wonderful. We were able to bring our two small dogs along. There were even "treats" especially for them to enjoy. There are several places to shop with a number of restaurants in Santa Fe. While we were there we toured Santa Fe, Albuquerque and Taos. Thank you again Caroline for everything.

I have visited Santa Fe and New Mexico several times during short vacations and work related purposes, and decided a longer stay was in order to fully appreciate the region. After reading all prior reviews and viewing photos of the property, I decided to stay at Caroline's casita for the entire month of October, hoping the positive experiences of others would play out for a month. As it turned out, the casita is a very comfortable long-term destination that is perfectly situated for day trips around central and northern NM. My wife originally planned on joining me the entire visit, but work kept her at home most of the time. My brother and I drove from Florida to NM hauling two motorcycles for what turned out to be outstanding riding in the San Juan, Jemez, and Sandia mountains. The weather for riding was great and my brother loved his week on the bike and at Caroline's casita. My friend Larry joined me a week later and the weather was still very comfortable for riding in the middle of October, and he also was very complimentary of the casita. My wife finally arrived for the final week of the stay, and we managed one ride before the weather changed. She raved about Caroline's property and the casita. As for me, the entire month was a joy. Caroline readily accommodated the comings and goings of my party, as well as my pickup truck, two motorcycles, and a trailer--all at a very affordable monthly rate. I'll defiinitly return and take our Labrador Retriver on the next trip.

We have been staying at this wonderful guest house with our 3 doxies for almost 5 years. Caroline gives the utmost attention to detail from fresh flowers, breakfast foods for at least 48 hours to get you started, and a comfortable casual home away from home. 10 minutes from the Plaza, on 2.5 acres with a gurgling pond and fish, open space for walking and the biggest view of the Sky and Sangres anywhere, make this an ideal place to actually feel like you live in Santa Fe rather than being a tourist. Also, Caroline knows all the "in spots" as far as restaurants and galleries.

...this year New Mexico...everything was GREAT! The accomidations were great. I would recommend this site to everyone. The property was easy to find and very clean. Everything we wanted to do was within driving distance. Take the train from the 559 location and travel to Albuquerque one day (your train ticket lets you ride the bus for free) visited the zoo, botanic garden, and the aquarium by bus. Next day drove to ABQ to the Sanda Peak Tramway...the Tram ride was excellent. Loved the Santa Fe Market, and the trip to Taos to visit the Taos Pueblo & Rio Grande George Bridge.

My mother and I pick a vacation spot each year; this year she chose Santa Fe, NM which turned out to be awesome because instead of coming in each night to a hotel room we stayed here where we were made to feel right at home. All the pictures and information listed is correct and true; unlike many other places we have stayed. Caroline was great to talk to and give you any information you need for your trip to the area. It was so nice to hang out on the patio in the evenings after sight seeing all day. Thanks again Caroline.

Couldn't be more perfect. Fresh eggs, herbs on the patio, Koi pond with fountain, super fast wifi, close enough, but not too close to town. Crisp glass of Gruet on the patio with a light cool breeze as the sun sets. Caroline's a delight with many recommendations for restaurants and things to do in Santa Fe and its vicinity. We miss our pups when we're traveling so its great to have Bosco (standard poodle) drop by to say "Hi" from time to time!

Our third stay at Caroline's Casita met all of our expectations. Caroline met us and answered all of our questions. The accommodations were clean and so many extras are supplied...fresh eggs, coffee beans, fresh fruit, special soaps and shampoos, and more. It is quiet and scenically beautiful. The waterfall in the pond just outside the door murmurs lightly. We walked on the road nearby for several miles with no cars. The city is accessible in less than 10 minutes, an easy drive. This is a fine place to stay when visiting Santa Fe. Our dog enjoyed it too! We will return for our fourth visit as soon as possible and we will make recommendations.

We looked at a number of vacation rentals before choosing this one. We traveled from Idaho and were just delighted with everything about this property. Caroline adds so many extra touches--fresh flowers, outdoor lights on at night when we arrived late, breakfast items in the fridge after our late arrival, a wealth of information, maps, current activities in Santa Fe (the local entertainment guide, fresh copies as soon as they were available each week). Spotlessly clean and at night--peacefully, blissfully quiet, yet just minutes from Santa Fe. Take County Route 70 for a scenic few minutes drive that takes you right into downtown and on the weekends, right to the Flea and Farmer's Markets. We emailed the link to this property to friends who are planning a trip. You won't be disappointed, Caroline emailed directions, tons of info and is the perfect host! Go up to Taos for the day, eat at Michael's Kitchen and come home to your comfy Casita and have wine by the fireplace!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The rate was fantastic, the apartment was comfortable, and the location convenient for exploring the region. Caroline has done such a great job of providing all the amenities and lots of thoughtful little touches. When we had a special need, she was extremely prompt in helping take care of it. Otherwise she gave us our privacy and tidied up when we were gone. The apartment is in a quiet rural desert setting surrounded by juniper and pines, but convenient to highways that can take you to Santa Fe, Taos, Los Alamos, the Turquoise Trail, or wherever. It was such a pleasure at the end of a busy day to come "home" to make dinner and relax.

We arrived to fresh flowers (that bloomed beautifully) during our stay, and a refrigerator that was filled with breakfast supplies (even eggs) for our first morning. The room was very cozy and going to sleep every night with a fire was wonderful! The bathroom was equipped with everything you need (including robes) and the shower was big enough for two! We had such a great time, it was very hard to leave. Santa Fe was beautiful, and we will back to see Caroline again! Thanks Caroline for the memories!

This was the second winter in a row that we stayed at this charming casita on the edge of Santa Fe, among the foothills and arroyos, and again we had the VERY BEST time. The owner (Caroline) again went out of her way to make the place warm and cozy. There were beautiful fresh flowers and breakfast goodies in the fridge. Each day she refreshed the linens, and got the in-room fireplace ready for the night. It's just the lovliest, most quiet place, at the very best price, and managed by the most considerate and helpful of hosts. Our puppy was also a welcome guest. WE SHALL RETURN !!!

This enchanting adobe casita is a dream come true. Conveniently located and wonderfully private, you won't find a better deal in Santa Fe. Caroline has meticulously furnished the light-filled space with every possible comfort for your stay.......from fabulous flowers, fresh fruit, and scented soaps, to a fridge stocked with everything you need to make breakfast the first morning. We loved the wood fireplace, the skylight in the shower, and of course the private patio for morning coffee and stargazing. This place felt like staying in a friend's guesthouse, and we looked forward to coming home every evening after a long day of sightseeing. When I close my eyes I can still hear the waterfall in the goldfish pond, and see that astonishingly beautiful night sky crowded with stars. We highly recommend this property! Also, you should try The Chocolate Maven Bakery & Cafe for breakfast, The Shed (just off the Plaza) for New Mexican food, and Harry's Roadhouse (Old Las Vegas Hwy). We would also recommend the Loretto trolley tour of Santa Fe, Bandelier Nat'l Monument, and taking the High Road to Taos for the day. While in Taos, don't miss ice cream at the Taos Cow in Arroyo Seco, and make time to enjoy margaritas & live music at the Taos Inn.

The property is very neat and clean, and the scenery that surrounds it is spectacular. There is a very well-equipped kitchenette, including a great espresso coffee machine. It is 10+ minutes from town and the drive is very easy. I would recommend this to anyone, and I definitely plan on returning for possibly a longer stay! Make sure you eat at Tia Sophia's and Maria's Mexican Kitchen. And for a special evening, don't miss Coyote Cafe for a meal that is not only delicious but beautiful in its presentation.

My husband and I and our boston terrier just returned from a week at Carolines lovely home which was decorated like a five star hotel. The large windows let streaming sunlight and beautiful star gazing while we lounged in our white robes provided by Caroline while drinking our coffee and sipping our wine . Caroline had a refridgerator full of breakfast foods and fresh fruit along with a beautiful bouquet of flowers waiting for us. We actually arrived quite late and had not had dinner. Caroline took pity on us and ran over some soup for us. She also had a treat for our dog Sully. Caroline was available to us at all times but kept a very low profile in case anyone might feel funny about living so close to the owner. There were several beautiful hiking areas and tourist attractions within easy driving distance from Santa Fe. If you are traveling with a pet, Bosco the neighbors poodle will keep your pet entertained with his silly antics. We are totally jealous of anyone staying in "our " little jewel of a place. and we know if we ever get back to the area we will stay at carolines.

This casita was perfect for our stay in Santa Fe. We especially loved the patio for viewing the stars at night and watching birds bathe in the pond while we ate breakfast. The fruit and other foodstuffs were greatly appreciated, as were the books on Santa Fe, its history, birds and flowers, maps, as well as the most recent 'best of' publications. Caroline is a thoughtful, unobtrusive host and the site is a welcome retreat after days spent sightseeing. I was truly sad to leave!

Our stay at Caroline's Studio apartment was wonderful. We couldn't have asked for a better stay in Santa Fe. The special touches of more guidebooks/brochures than you could find at a library, fresh flowers, fresh fruit, stocked refrigerator, fresh towels every day AND the fact that an air-conditioner was installed for our stay during Santa Fe's unusual heat wave was far more than we expected. It is not located downtown, so you do need a car, but we enjoyed the quiet and lounging in our private courtyard next to the babbling fishpond each morning for breakfast and again in the evening after a busy day of sightseeing. I will definitely recommend this as THE place to stay for a visit to Santa Fe.

I truly enjoyed the time at Studio in Santa Fe. The room was great. The location was out of town but Caroline was very helpful and made me feel at home. I have recommended Caroline to others and wholeheartedly recommend the location to anyone who is searching for a studio in Santa Fe

We loved coming back to this studio after a day's sightseeing. It was well-appointed, spacious, and located away from city noise and light. This allowed for quiet nights, lit only by the moon and stars. It had everything we needed during our stay, from bathrobes to kitchenware; we found the stack of guides particularly helpful for finding our way around Santa Fe.

Fabulous! Fresh flowers, great linens, well equipped kitchen, breakfast in the fridge, great bed, bathroom amenities, fluffy towels, bathrobes, private patio w/koi pond, fireplace. Short drive to Santa Fe without the touristy feeling. Caroline is the perfect hostess. Friendly w/o being obtrusive. Would definitely stay here again and we highly recommend it. This has to be the best value in the area.

This is a wonderfully appointed studio that is perfect for cooks as there is nothing wanting in the kitchen area. Caroline has lots of surprises, including breakfast in the fridge and coffee beans one can grind daily. Those with allergies will appreciate the non-fragrant linens and candles and green cleaning products. We loved the sound of the chimes and fountain. Unlike being in town, one can view the sky, including catching a double rainbow. We'll certainly be back! Elizabeth

We were lulled to sleep each night by the little pond just outside our door. A cozy, peaceful setting and Caroline is an amazing hostess. She had mounds of literature about NM and was happy to share her knowledge. Beautiful flowers and breakfast in the refrigerator! Can't think of anything she could have done to make our stay more comfortable.

I highly recommend this vacation rental. It is a few minutes outside of downtown Santa Fe (which to me was a big plus, convenient, yet you feel you are out in the country) so you are under a beautiful sky with rolling hills with gorgeous mountains in the distance. I went to New Mexico for the landscape, and wow, was it spectacular, starting with right where I slept each night! The apartment itself is just the right size, and includes a fireplace (which is cleaned and restocked each day) an ample kitchenette, and an outdoor seating area. A big plus for me was the quiet--I tire of going on vacation and staying at hotels with slamming doors, loud conversations and TVs in rooms next door, etc. This was blissfully quiet, the perfect way to end a hectic day of sight seeing. Caroline is a thoughtful hostess, she felt accessible if I were to need anything, yet not hovering (unlike some B&B owners who endlessly chatter). It is the only apartment I've ever rented that was cleaned every day like a hotel. So far I've stayed in vacation apartments in Paris, Montreal, Vancouver, Toronto, San Francisco, San Diego, and Boulder--this rental is the best value of them all by far.

This was my first opportunity to stay in this property, but will hopefully not be my last. There were plenty of personal touches, including fresh flowers, nicely stocked breakfast items, daily cleaning and high-end bed/bath linens, making it stand out from other properties where I have stayed in Santa Fe. The peaceful, serene setting was just an added bonus. I'm definitely looking forward to my next visit!

This is a perfect place to stay in Santa Fe - quiet, peaceful, and private, and so well taken care of! Caroline is the best hostess imaginable; there were fresh flowers, the kitchen was stocked with everything we needed (including fresh fruit!), the fireplace was stocked with wood... We have stayed at many vacation rentals, and this was the best experience we've had.

This is a hidden treasure. Warm, comfortable, with so many thoughtful appointments and amenities, like fresh flowers, fruit, thick towels, and wood stacked and ready in the fireplace. And though out in the country, a mere 10 minutes to the Plaza or shopping on Cerrillos.
