Our comfortable, sunny home is an easy 5 minute walk to downtown Pt. Reyes Station where you can experience a warm small town atmosphere with sophistication. Stroll among the artisan shops while dinning on foods at various restaurants that prepare meals using local and organic products. Once explored, you can easily branch out to the many other attractions offered in and around the area. You are always within easy access to hiking trails, bike paths and beautiful beaches all surrounded by open space. The Napa Valley Wine Country as well as San Francisco is an easy 50 minute drive away. You can use our home as your base and take day trips or simply relax with a good book outside on the sunny patio while enjoying the quiet that only the country can provide.

when first told about this location I was informed there are no street lights. Ideal. location is very quiet and close to enough outdoors to keep you busy for as long as you like. house very clean, everything stocked, and plenty of room. you could do better, but you would have to pay 4 times the price. we loved our time there!

Two couples stayed in this homey Pt. Reyes Station home. It was amazing to wake up to mooing cows in the distance. It feels a bit like walking into a friendly Grandma house without the musty smells! And the town and restaurants are great fun. The owner, Linda, was very accommodating - even brought over a new coffee pot when the old one started spewing grounds.

We enjoyed staying at the Sunny Pt. Reyes home. The listing description is very accurate, and exactly as promised. Great location close to Pt. Reyes downtown. We had two families and three kids and a dog, and we were very comfortable. The price was very reasonable, and we had a great time. Owner Linda is very accommodating, nice, professional and responsive. It was a pleasure to do business with her. We'll definitely be coming back.

very clean house, very well appointed kitchen. We stayed with our kids (2 adults and 2 kids under 10) for 2 nights: definitely plenty of space for a family of 4 - we ended up using 2 out of the 3 bedrooms. 2 minutes from the downtown of the local town (Point Reyes Station) which is a nice little town. W/in 5 to 10 driving minutes from Point Reyes park which imo is the main attraction in that area: tons of hikes, beaches to explore, stunning vista and abundant wildlife. We tried kayaking in the bay but it was too windy - definitely want to go back and try again. The owner was very nice and helpful. Only negative is the price point which makes it hard to do this more often. This being said, the price is completely within the going rate for a house in that area and given the beauty of Point Reyes Park, it's worth the investment when camping is not yet an option :-)

We rented this property in February 2011 for a Sunday and Monday night and were very happy with it. We are one couple, two single women, and one medium sized dog. The house was wonderful. It was clean and tastefully decorated. I was surprised that the bedrooms were so big and roomy. The kitchen was well stocked with all the pots and pans and dishes we needed. The bbq was great and we used it both nights of our stay. Probably the only thing I could complain about was I wish there was a dishwasher! But, that wasn't really such a big deal. The daffodils were in full bloom in the garden outside and if the weather was a little nicer we would have hung out on the patio and in the garden more. We walked to "downtown" Pt. Reyes to get baked goods and cheese from the creamery. The bar in town is a great place for beers and we enjoyed that! One day we drove to Drakes Bay to pick up a couple bags of oysters and barbequed them on the grill at the house. Overall, we had a wonderfully relaxing stay at this property and I look forward to renting it again. The Pt. Reyes area is so beautiful and such a short drive from the Bay Area where we live so it is nice to find a property that we would like to come back to, especially since it is dog friendly. Linda, the rental owner contact, was great. She responded to my rental request very quickly and the rental process was easy and went smoothly.

My husband and I are frequent day-trippers to the incredible Point Reyes National Seashore, but this time we decided we wanted to spend a little more time in the town of Point Reyes Station itself. We were happy to have found this rental. The house had clearly been someone’s well-maintained home rather than just a weekend getaway: well-insulated (important on our often foggy N. California coast), spacious bedrooms, comfortable furnishings . The house was clean with a well-stocked kitchen and lots of extra blankets, pillows and towels. It made an easy and comfortable base for our explorations. We were disappointed that the 5 minute walk into town was along Hwy 1, but as we drove around exploring the area, we realized that there were very few places one could stay and not have to walk on the highway in order to get into the town proper. Point Reyes Station has a lot to offer for a town of its size (tiny): several decent cafes/restaurants (we always enjoy the Pinecone Diner in town and loved the goat burger with goat cheese (yum) we shared at the new meat market up from the house); the wonderful Bovine Bakery, Point Reyes Books and Zuma (arts and crafts) and more! If you get tired of exploring the town and the PRNS (I never will), there are easy day trips through the rolling golden hills to nearby towns or south on Hwy 1 to see the redwoods. Or go a little farther south for a city experience in Sausalito or San Francisco.

Very comfortable house with lots of sunshine and all the amenities you need for a good stay at Pt. Reyes. You can walk to downtown Pt. Reyes station in 5 minutes, Perhaps more important, the house is centrally located in the area so that you have easy access to all parts of the rather far-flung national seashore. Kitchen is fully stocked with tools, condiments, and everything you need to self-cater your vacation. The closeness of Pt Reyes Station (and Palace Grocery) and a local butcher shop (100 yards up the road) mean that shopping and eating at home are easy. Free wireless means you can easily use your computer to access local attractions' hours and information. The owners communicated promptly and well and the house is in immaculate condition. There is a hominess without clutter that is very appealing and relaxing. Three large bedrooms with down comforters mean sleep is comfortable; the small amount of road noise from CA 1 can't be heard in the bedrooms. I loved hearing the soft moo of the cows in the nearby pasture when we awakened in the morning. We'll hope to stay here again.

This is a terrific place, very comfortable, feels like being at home. My husband and I have stayed here many times, with our two dogs and they don't want to go home. They love the huge yard. Which is gorgeous, flowers, fruit trees, what more can you ask for? Love the WiFi. Walk to town in a heartbeat and the Palace Market is wonderful. Osterina Stellina is a restaurant not to miss. Don't forget Cowgirl Creamery. I'm a foodie. We have stayed at many places using VRBO.COM, this is our fav.
