Enjoy the best of all worlds in this newly renovated waterfront seven room home.
Just 4 miles from the Bourne Bridge and Cape Cod Canal … without the traffic! Located on the shores of Ezekiel Pond in South Plymouth (by the Bourne and Wareham town lines), the home features three bedrooms, kitchen, two dens (you can enjoy one Den while the kids enjoy the other), sunroom, one bathroom, and large deck overlooking the water and dock just 15 feet away. Hardwood floors upstairs, ceramic tile downstairs, new kitchen, bright open floor plan with plenty of windows. Central Air, gas grill, free WiFi. Deck is unbelievable--just a 12 feet from the water, the deck is 26 feet long with incredible water views. Home is located on a quiet road.
The peaceful 36-acre, 24-foot deep lake is great for swimming, kayaking, fishing and is the third cleanest body of water in Massachusetts. Only an occasional power boat. Gradually sloping sandy lake bottom is great for children. Crystal clear water. If you prefer the ocean, Scusset Beach State Reservation in Bourne is just a 15 minute drive. This home comes complete with a canoe and two kayaks. There is a hammock hanging just 4 feet from the water.
Plenty of stores just ten minutes away, and a country store just a half mile from our home.
Perfect Golf Vacation: several courses in the area including Atlantic Country Club which is 2 miles from away.
Enjoy the beautiful sunsets while relaxing on the deck!

Thanks to my wonderful husband for finding this fantastic vacation spot! I was initially worried when he surprised me and told me he had rented a place without seeing it first, Yikes! I was totally blown away when we arrived! It was amazing! The location on the lake was perfect for my paddleboard, and it was so great to not fight what would have been a crazy summer beach croud. The house was so clean, and if you know me you know I'm a very tough critic (hence the initial shock that he had rented without he or I seeing it first!) Not sure I should be telling everyone since I want to rent next year and don't want you to get there first!Recommended for: Tourists without a car, girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

We spent a great week with stunning sunsets on the lake. The house is equipped with everything possibly needed for a vacation. a grocery store is not far away to fill up the fridge. Cape Cod and Myles Standish park are at 10 minutes drive, but you escape the crowd of Cape Cod. The lake is small and cozy, very warm and private. We had our own deck and sandy beach, with boats and inflatables. The house is spacey, we never felt it was crowded. Great relaxing and peaceful vacation for everyone!Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, romantic getaway, age 55+.

Our family really enjoyed our stay here. We did a lot of sightseeing in Boston, Plymouth and Cape Cod, so it was very nice to come back to this house in the evening and relax. The house was very comfortable for our family (my husband and I and our three children). The water in the lake was pretty warm, so kids had fun swimming and kayaking. There was a good size bass hanging around the shore, and we enjoyed watching it. We have recommended this house to friends from Alabama who are interested in visiting the area in the future.Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

Wow! We had a great time! The house was wonderful as described and better! It was comfortably furnished, clean and well stocked with all housewares! The deck was our favorite gathering spot as the view is amazing ...... just steps away from the clean, clear pond! Our visit was a mom / kids get away and our three 'tweens' loved it! They spent hours on the dock chatting, sunning, star gazing and also enjoyed the swimming and use of the kayaks on the property. Although there are two TV's in the house we didn't turn them on once! It was much more fun cooking together in the lovely kitchen, hanging on the deck and enjoying our surroundings! We found the house to be centrally located to so many attractions and the local market just outside the campground down the road a quick stop close by to pick up convenience items! The owners and I communicated by email and all my questions were answered quickly! They even provided hand drawn maps of the area and shortcuts to destinations in a book located in the house! We enjoyed many local attractions and at the top off the list are: Scusset beach - go at low tide! Plimouth Plantation, The Mayflower, The town of Plymouth, The ghost tour in Plymouth, Sandwich and the glass museum and the area in general! Thank you for the great stay! H. Owner info
Year Purchased: 2008
About the owner: I'm an author of several travel books and several true stories of survival and adventure. It was my dream to buy a house on a lake near the ocean so that I could enjoy the best of both worlds. My idea of a great day is to take a morning bike ride, go to one of the nearby beaches to body surf the waves or fish for striped bass, and then return to the Plymouth house for a swim in the crystal clear waters of the lake. And of course, this is all capped off with drinks on the deck while watching the sun set on the lake and a dinner cooked on the outdoor gas grill.
Why the Owner Chose Plymouth:
While I love Cape Cod, I can't stand it's traffic. So from my Plymouth house I can avoid the Cape during high traffic periods (weekends when people are going to rentals is the worst), yet I can drive to the Cape in just 10 -15 minutes from my lake home at a time that is convenient for me. (There is so much to do near my house, I find that many family members and guests only go to the Cape for a couple brief visits during a week's stay, and instead spend most of their time on the lake or doing an activity in Plymouth or Wareham.) And for those folks that want to go into Boston, our location has easy access to the highway and the trip is much shorter than if you left from the Cape.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
The road our house is on is extremely quiet, and the lake (Ezekial Pond) is peaceful. It is a good size at 36 acres (and 26 feet deep), but their are only a couple power boats on the lake because power boaters prefer the huge lakes or ocean nearby. This makes Ezekial Pond pefect for kayaking, canoeing, swimming and fishing (great largemouth and smallmouth bass fishing). I also like the fact that while you feel like you are way out in the country, a ten minute drive brings you to Route 25/6 which has every store and restaurant imaginable on it. This roadway also has activities for the kids such as mini golf, go-carts, a waterpark etc. At the house I've put together an entire booklet of some of my favorite places and few secret spots with maps and phone numbers. I want guests to have a week that has a mixture of fun, discovery, and relaxation. My whole approach is that when renters love their vacation at my lake house we all win -- those same people will want to return in future years, and each year they find new things to do and learn their own favorite places.
