Hello, I am more than happy to provide any information you may need for your holiday in Venice. There is a lot to do. There are at least 3 beaches you can drive to in under 10 mins, a park along the intracoastal (Shamrock) that you can walk to, and lots more. There are many great restaurants in Venice, and a very cute downtown main street area (Venice Ave) that feels almost Italian. Siesta Key Beach (voted #2 beach in the country) is a 20 minute drive north.
For the cyclists:
It's a wonderful place if you like cycling - casual or serious. There are 2 "serious" (a la Lance Armstrong style) bikes at the house, one is 54cm and the other is 56cm, there are also 2 "casual" bikes - great for rolling down to nearby Shamrock Park where you can access the Venice bike path that goes for miles along the intracoastal waterway. You can also ride to the beach along the bike path. I have some routes I can share if you like going farther - a 26 mile loop that goes to the southern tip of Manasota Key and back - incredible scenery along the way. There is a great state park - Myakka - about 30 mins away by car that has incredible boat trips if you like to float near the alligators. There are also great biking routes out that way.

Why the Owner Chose Private Homes
I love the Venice area. I have been going there for several years since my parents bought a place in Venice. I finally decided I wanted my own piece of paradise. I must have looked at 40 houses before I settled on this one. It has a wonderful location on a very quiet street, it's close to the intracoastal, close to beaches, and it is in excellent condition. I had the entire interior painted just after I bought it, and I had all the carpeting replaced with upscale tile (so no worries about smelly carpet).
The Unique Benefits of this House
There is a large 2 car garage that contains a number of bikes for your use. The back yard is very private, completely fenced in with high privacy fence. There is a covered patio just off the back door with a lovely arbor covered in flowering vines that drape down around the sides. There is a large LCD HD TV in the living room with full HD cable service. There is a high speed internet wifi connection as well. One of the bedrooms has a smaller LCD TV. The kitchen has granite counters and is very well-equipped. All of the furniture is new, and the entire interior is freshly painted and tiled.
