If you are looking for a great spot full of local history, and only fifteen minutes to one of the world’s best beaches, we have just the place for you.

Located in the heart of Waimea town on the Big Island of Hawaii, Waimea Vacation Rental Cottages offer the comfort and conveniences of home with the scenery and setting of beautiful Hawaii. Situated directly behind the historic Chock In Store, home of Daniel Thiebaut’s restaurant, our delightful cottage is ideally placed for exploration of scenic upcountry Waimea and the rest of Big Island.

Pua Cottage, is a one bedroom unit with dining and living areas, a full kitchen, and private bath. With a queen size bed in the bedroom and a fold out futon in the living room, this cottage can accommodate up to four people.

Rentals are available for a minimum of 2 nights and can be rented for longer periods of time, up to three months.

  • Once you have explored Waimea to your hearts content, the rest of the Big Island beckons...Fifteen minutes down Kawaihae road will deliver you to beautiful white sand Hapuna beach, perfect for swimming and sunbathing...For sight seeing, travel the mountain road to Kohala, the birthplace of Hawaii’s first king, where panoramic vistas open up with some of the best picture taking opportunities around...Of course just being on an island means driving from place to place is a sight-seeing experience, a drive along the Hamakua Coast is no exception...To Hilo, with its rainforests & waterfalls; Volcano National Park, with its awesome lava shows and stark landscapes; South Kona, with its ancient Hawaiian fishing villages...Now if a drive is not to your taste, there are a number of helicopter tours that will take you around the island and over the Big Island’s very active volcano.   • Pua Cottage is a perfect place to stay to escape from your every day stress and to reset your life. I love that the cottage is nestled in nature without needing to give up the conveniences of home (full kitchen, living space). It's within walking distance to Daniel Thiebaut's restaurant, a great place to grab a drink, or have fantastic Sunday brunch. The cottage is cozy, clean, and close to the city without the noise! I would definitely return to Pua Cottage on my next visit to Hawaii.

  • I Have stayed here twice in the past 2 years and I definitely plan to go back! Not only are the cabins charming little houses but they are in walking distance to a bunch of great things in Waimea. You can eat at Daniel Thiebaut's Restaurant, walk down the street to Hawaiian Style Cafe or walk into town for shopping or a cup of coffee. The Beds are comfortable and everything is supplied just as if you were in a hotel but with a homey touch. It's a great place to stay!
