You should be able to find on North Haven all that you need for an enjoyable life. In town there is a small public library, post office, two restaurants, two churches, gift and craft shops, art galleries, the ferry dock, public landing and Waterman’s Community Building.
There is a 9-hole golf course nearby. Short-term weekly memberships are available in the North Haven Yacht Club, giving access to the Casino’s sailing and tennis programs. Details available upon request.
The Maine State Department of Transportation operates a ferry service three times daily from the mid-coast city of Rockland, at 9:30 AM, 2:15 PM and 5:15 PM. The Captain Neil Burgess makes the trip in about an hour in calm waters. The Burgess can transport 19 passenger cars, fewer if the vessel is also carrying trucks. Mainland parking is available for overnight visitors.
