I have stayed in several Vrbo properties, and I am here to tell you, this one was Top Notch!!! The property was extremely clean and included many amenities and little extras not found at most Vrbo properties. I can't wait to stay at Marglo again next year, or hopefully sooner! It was perfect!!!

Very Relaxing 4 day/night Stay!

Delightfully decorated and maintained cottage...the casual beach theme matched our goals for a relaxing visit. This was a short car trip for us so we took groceries though they are certainly available and convenient in the area. Kitchen was well stocked and home is well appointed. Pack only your clothing and pesonal needs and get ready to unwind!

Henderson Family weekend

The home was clean, very beautifully decorated and had all amenities. The kitchen was very well stocked although we didn't cook that much. We had a wonderful weekend get away here. The owners were very helpful answering all our questions. It was a very hot and dry time in Texas and Martin was very helpful is advice about where to launch our boat as the lake level was about 4-5 feet below normal levels. The lot is very shaded and the outdoor patio is very nice. Grocery store and eating places are very close by. The only problems we had were the sunroom never did cool down enough for sleeping on the pull out sofa out there and the refrigerator just didn't get cold enough to keep our drinks cold enough. I would definitely recommend Marglo's cottage to my friends.

We are sorry to hear you had problems with the sun room never cooling down enough to sleep comfortably. With Texas hitting record high temperatures over 100 degrees consecutively for over a month, it's been extremely difficult for many houses to cool down especially if people are going in & out often. We're also sorry you had difficulty with the refrigerator and surprised it wasn't working properly as it is a rather new refrigerator. Our cleaning people adjusted the temperature after your departure & our next guests said they had no problems with keeping their food & drinks cold. We're thinking that it might have "frozen up" temporarily during your stay & sincerely regret you encountered any problems at all. We strive to make the cottage as inviting & pleasurable as possible for all our guests and with your constructive comments we will certainly strive even more. fun weekend june 11-13, 2011

we had a fun time at marglo's. our 5 yr old daughter loved making smores at night. 1 hr drive from dallas/ plano area. kitchen had everything. just 3 of us were there, but 8 could sleep comfortably.

This place was incredible...I am so jealous! I pretended it was mine for 4 whole days! What a great location, such a cute house, very clean, extremely well stocked, beautiful views...how could you ask for more!

A Nice Mini-Getaway

We had a wonderful relaxing 3 night stay at this comfortable lake cottage. It was an easy drive from Dallas and was immaculate when we arrived. Everything in the pictures and description of the property was correct and it was obvious that pride of ownership was everywhere, from the decor to the amenities offered. My husband immediately went out to the dock and was soon catching and releasing catfish. My daughter and her boyfriend rented a jetski at a local marina and were tooling around the large lake and had fun swimming in the swimming area. There were a lot of ducks, including 5 ducklings, and we all enjoyed watching them eat morsels of bread and scamper around the dock. The cottage is a single story design, which was great for me since I have physical limitations and don't climb stairs easily. The house has big picture windows which look out directly to the lake and dock, so I could see all the action from the comfort of being inside. We all had a great time and hope to be back again.

A birthday week-end at MarGlo's

This was a return visit for my husband and me; but a first visit for our son and daughter-in-law. We chose MarGlo's to celebrate our son's birthday because he grew up going to the lake and boating every week-end and always enjoyed water activities. The kids were awed by the beautiful comfy cottage the moment they walked in. The gold, yellow, lime green colors just speak to having a good time. Since it was dark outside when we arrived, they didn't get to see the spectacular water views until morning---another surprise for them. The cottage is extremely well-equipped---excellent cookware, colorful dishes, oodles of silverware, really cute wine glasses! The decor tells you the owners love their hideaway and enjoy sharing with others. Their place is all about comfort. The beds were very comfortable and we all slept in much later we ever would at home. The fabulous pictures from the Hawaiian Islands cover an entire wall in the master bedroom and make you almost feel like you are there. We chose not to leave the compound---just played games/cards at night; enjoyed visiting around the firepit in the evening; enjoyed a couple of boatrides; and put a few steaks on the barbie! The water was too rough for the wake-boarding our son hoped to do----but just being on and near the water made for a great week-end. We would definitely recommend this property to anyone wanting to have a relaxed stay in beautiful surroundings. Cedar Creek Lake is one of the prettiest lakes we've been to in Texas.

We rented this cottage and stayed for a week. We loved the big pier and boathouse. We fished, fed the ducks, make smores with the fire pit and the kids swam. We had a great time and hope to come back next summer.

These comments were written in our guestbook...Wow! This place is so awesome! As soon as we walked in we all couldn't stop talking abut how wonderful it was. Colby already mentioned that it smelt so good! (Hope we didn't stink it up!) The view is awesome! We tanned & played games off the top deck & didn't ever want to leave. The way the place is decorated is so cute! If we ever get one I hope the inside looks like this! The beds are phenominal! We were amazed everytime we found every little detail you guys have for us. When you can't afford to get to the beach, this charming piece of paradise is the next best thing. This cottage is a very special place in a beautiful setting. The decor is casually chic and makes you want to meet the owners who have taken so much time to create such a wonderful feel. We loved our stay at MarGlo Cottage and never felt like we were in a rental. Everything we needed was already there for us. The dock and the patio draw you outside to the beautiful lake view. But even on a cloudy day, the inside of the cottage brightens the day with the wonderful sherbet colors. It can provide a romantic week-end or a great family get away. Absolutely one of our favorite places to be with friends.

My husband and I, children, and grandchildren spent a wonderful weekend at MarGlo Cottage. The cottage was clean, beautiful, and comfortable. The kids played outside all day long. They delighted in catching fish off the pier and then throwing them back; playing on our big inflatable raft that we tethered to the dock (using the cottage's "noodles" to shoot "pirates"), and had fun being towed in "Big Bertha" behind our Wave Runners. After grilling dinner we roasted marshmallows over a campfire to make s'mores. As we were getting the kids ready for bed on the last night, we overheard our 6 year old grandson exclaim to no one in particular, "I'm never leaving this place!" He pretty well summed up the feeling for everyone. We look forward to our next stay at MarGlo Cottage.
