Our Shipwatch condominium is located directly on the Atlantic ocean with beautiful views of the ocean and the pool. The views you see were taken from our balcony. The 2131-square-foot living area has three large bedrooms each with its own full bath located within the bedroom suite. The condo has beautifully decorated rooms with oil paintings and tile floors and for additional privacy when you retreat to the lower floor it is as though you have gone to another condo! The bedrooms/baths and laundry area are downstairs and upstairs is a large kitchen, half bath, living area, wet bar and separate formal dining room. The large balcony has three sets of sliding glass doors that give floor to ceiling views from every room upstairs. The balcony is furnished with a beautiful table and chairs for enjoying your coffee as the sun rises or dining under the stars.
The condo is located on the Amelia Island Plantation. We are members of the Ocean Club and can provide an amenity card should you desire to purchase it that enables you to access the 1350 acre resort which has 54 holes of championship golf designed by Pete Dye, Tom Fazio, and Bobby Weed. It was named "Silver Metal Golf Resort" by Golf Magazine. The tennis program is recognized as one of the finest resort tennis programs in the world. There are 23 Har-Tru fast drying tennis courts and Tennis Magazine rated it Top 50 Greatest Tennis Resorts in the USA. World Tennis Magazine rated it 5-Star Tennis Resort and Racquet Magazine rated it Top World Resorts. Omni Hotels purchased the Resort over a year ago and is spending millions on what we think is an already PERFECT combination of the sea and the beauty of nature. Every effort has been made to preserve the hundred year old Live Oak Trees that drape the roads and bike paths right next to the sea. And for those who wish to relax and be pampered, a day at the Spa is fabulous! Whether riding bikes on the miles of paved bike trails, fishing, shopping, enjoying the paddle boats, or horseback riding on the beach, there is always something to do on the Plantation whatever your interests or your age!!

- King Bed (2) : Both Master Suite #1 and Master Suite #2 have King size beds with designer furniture. All bedrooms are suites with full identical baths located within the bedroom suite for maximun privacy. The two King Suites also have a separate dressing area with long vanity located between the bath and bedroom. The two twin beds in the #3rd bedroom can be converted into a king size bed by using the connector located in the closet..
- Twin/Single Bed (2) : Bedroom Suite #3 has twin mahogany poster beds and a full bath located within the bedroom suite...no going down the hall or sharing! Also, these twin beds can be converted into a king size bed by using the connector located in the closet.
- Convertible Bed (2) : Upstairs the two sofas convert to Queen size beds and have a real mattress for comfort.

- Cable/Satellite TV : Comcast Cable is the cable provider with more chanels and HBO. A large flat screen TV is located upstairs in the living room and for those who wish to stay up late you will not have to worry about disturbing others asleep downstairs! It is like having two condos for the price of one! Master Bedroom #1 has a large TV in a beautiful armoire and LOT'S of Videos in the drawers below! Master Bedroom #2 has a flat screen TV. All TV's have VCR and DVD Players.

- Shared Pool : Our condo is the closest unit to the pool in our association. The picture you see of the pool was taken from our balcony. - Full Kitchen : The large kitchen is wonderful for larger groups and can be closed from other areas or opened by using the bi fold doors. This kitchen is large enough for several cooks!!
- Cooking Utensils Provided : The kitchen is complete with a wide variety of pots/pans and cutlery. We have everything you need whether you are preparing simple snacks or a Thanksgiving dinner.

- Oceanfront : Our condo is directly on the ocean and there are no other properties or roads between the condo and the Atlantic Ocean. You have awesome views of the Atlantic Ocean, the sandy beach, the waves and the pool from our villa.

- Telephone (5) : There are four telephones in our condo. One in each bedroom and one in the living room. the phone in the kitchen is for 911 calls only.

- A new large flat screen tv and new console is in the living room, and a 32 inch new tv is in one master king suite and a flat screen tv is in the second master king suite. We are members of the Ocean Club and an amenity card is available for purchase. Ask for more details. We request a minimum of three nights September-March 1st but we welcome last minute bookings!

Why the Owner Chose Amelia Island Plantation
We chose to buy our condo because nowhere else in the world have we found century old oak trees draping right next to an ocean. The perfect harmony of nature and wildlife together with the sounds of splashing waves we hear from our condo made it our only choice. Also we can be at the Jacksonville International Airport (JAX) in 25 to 30 minutes. Our island sits in a cove that has protected it from major storms for many years.
the many restrauants, unique shops and world class spa make it a dream come true and an escape from reality!
The Unique Benefits of this Villa
Our condo has a wonderful floor plan! When our family gets together it is especially nice to enjoy each others company and yet sometimes it is nice for my husband and I to slip away downstairs for quiet moments! It really is like having two condos. If someone gets up early to watch the sunrise with coffee in the mornings no one else is disturbed and if others stay up late...those in bed will never know and having a full bath located inside each bedroom is wonderful. We love the tram that comes by every 15min to take us anywhere on the resort!

Exceptional get away

My wife, two dogs and I were delighted to find the property not only as described but the owner to be exceptional in her desire to answer our every question. This property with the panaromic beach views and convenient access allowed us to fully enjoy our stay. Walking, reading, or merely naping in the sun were a welcome respite that we wish to soon repeat. When time and schedule permit we will return.

Very good beds. The King in the masterbedroom is especially comfortable. Fold-out couches in living room area (if you have more than 6 guests) are OK for young kids but probably not for adults. Ocean view; nice good-sized pool just outside between the unit and the beach. Unit was very clean. Well-appointed kitchen. Whole area is full of live oaks, which makes it especially attractive. The Omni Plantation has 20 clay tennis courts, and they do take cash or credit cards in addition to the amenity card. Harris-Teater grocery is convenient -- about a five or ten minute drive. Try the Espana Restaurant in nearby Fernandina Beach. We wanted a place that could accommodate 8, plus small dogs, and have an ocean view. We would definitely stay here again. Very nice place.
