Built in 1810 and lovingly restored in 2009, Fisherman’s Rest is a beautiful basement apartment in a Georgian Terrace. It is located in one of the most desirable areas of Fermoy in which to live, just 200 meters from the River Blackwater.
Access, by car is best. It is just 42 km (35 mins) from Cork Airport and 98 km from Shannon (1:45 hrs). Cork Ringaskiddy Ferry Port is just 30 mins away and Rosslare is about 170 km or 2:30 hours. There is off street secure parking available for boats, canoes, etc.
Centrally located, it is ideal for touring all over the south with counties Limerick, Tipperary, Waterford and Kerry all within easy reach. Cork City is less than 30 mins away.
The Blackwater Valley presents a host of wonderful activities, canoeing, kayaking, triathlon, rowing, swimming, salmon fishing, trout fishing, coarse angling, mountain biking, pony trekking, horse riding, racing...
The apartment has two double beds, a sofa bed, fully equipped kitchen, bathroom with wet-room, large living/dining area, access to a beautiful walled, split-level garden with patio, BBQ and an outdoor fireplace. This is a wonderful feature to allow you to dine "al fresco" in comfort after the sun has set.

A beautiful property. We could genuinely relax by the fire, stroll the back garden, enjoy a walk to the river, pub and downtown. A nicer perch to return to as we explored storied parts of Ireland is hard to imagine. Our upstairs hosts were tremendously gracious and welcoming. Being from the new world we learned how an historic property could be made perfectly new and comfortable. We heartily recommend a stay to anyone.

This is the most convenient, comfortable, cozy luxury apartment in Fermoy! I will stay there every time I visit.. It is clean, comfy, peaceful, and close to everything. The hospitality from the owners will make you feel like family.
