Lovely, Perfectly Located Apartment with a Garden: Unique !
Year Purchased: 2001
Why the Owner Chose Paris Arrondissement 16
Actually, it's not a vacation rental, but our home. My house offers two separate apartments. The small one, on the ground and 1st floor is to rent to international travelers, who prefer luxury, convenient and quiet places to crowded and unpersonal hotels.
The Unique Benefits at this Apartment
Definitively the apartment opens on a wonderful garden, totally quiet and refreshing during hot months. But, when you get out of the property, you are at the heart of the best located part of the 16th district, between luxury residential areas and lively shopping streets, like rue de Passy, avenue Victor Hugo..etc.
And the Eiffel tower stands in front of you, at a 3' minute walk from you apartment: why not going out to admire it glittering at night, just before a good sleep ?
It marks the middle of Victor Hugo avenue, going from the Arc de Triomphe and rue de Passy

Welcome to Paris !
My name is Philippe. I'm 45-year old and I work in investment management in Paris.
My family has been living in the 16th 'arrondissement (Trocadéro, Victor Hugo, Passy) since 1987. We enjoy this area because there is a lot of space and quietness with many large avenues with trees and gardens. Look at Google Earth ! There is no other part of Paris like our area. Also, though it seems to be a bit far from the historical center, you can actually get to any point of interest very easily with the metro, the bus..or by foot ! And, at night, after a day of sightseeing or working, you will enjoy going back to this quiet and 'chic' district... Believe me...
We are enjoy living in this distinctive townhouse made of red bricks : it looks like the typical manor you can find near Deauville... Also, we enjoy a lot the garden which we cross to enter or exit the house.
My sons (20 and 15) share a very quiet life in our house, enjoying Paris and its museums, art galleries and 'bistrots' and 'cafés'..
I hope you'll feel like to visit us !
Philippe

Phillipe's apartment made our holidays in Paris even more special! My husband and I and our 2 girls (2 and 10 years) spent a magic week, with all confort we needed (and a beautiful garden), in the heart os Paris! Everething was even more beautiful that shown at the internet photos. All the charm of the 16th arrondissement and Phillipe's lovely way of recieving his guests completed our very special "séjour a Paris". We really hope coming back in a near future. Silviane And Andre

This apartment is perfectly located in a nice residential neighborhood with easy access to all of Paris, thanks to the nearby Metro stations. It is the perfect Parisian home away from home. With all of the necessary amenities, it is tastefully decorated and quite comfortable. The photographs posted on the website are absolutely true to what you will find. No false advertising here. After searching extensively for just the right apartment for our first trip to Paris, we found it! Philippe is a very gracious host. He was responsive to all inquiries prior to arrival and during our stay (as were his adorable sons). We made ourselves at home and felt easily integrated into the neighborhood. Shopping for groceries and other items was easy at the Casino supermarket, which is practically next door. One of our favorite dinners was at Le Paris 16, which is just one block away on Rue des Belles-Feuilles. We had a delicious meal with superb service. The apartment is a short walking distance to Trocadero, with spectacular views of the Tour Eiffel and the river. In the other direction is an easy walk toward Victor Hugo which is lined with many shops and restaurants and which heads towards the Arc de Triomphe and the Ave des Champs Elysees. So much of Paris is best experienced on foot. And this apartment is the perfect home base for experiencing the beauty and complexity of Paris.

My husband (age 72) and I (age 69) have rented apartments in Paris for the last 20 years. For the last ten years we rented the same one near ave. Mozart. It was being sold in 2010 so we were forced into finding a new apartment. After staying at Philippe's apartment in December 2010 we have found our next nice home in Paris. The location is perfect for multiple-Metro access, for grocery and market shopping, for good restaurants, for walking (close to the Bois), and is quiet. The interior is light, well equipped, and comfortable. Having the owner (Philippe) living upstairs and speaking perfect English is an added benefit to answer any questions or to solve any problems. The kitchen is well equipped including a dishwasher. The apartment is newly renovated and everything is clean and fresh. We will stay there again in 2011 and, hopefully, for many more years to come.

Philippe is a wonderful host at this charming spot in the 16th. The location is superb, with everything you could wish for nearby. For those who love to cook, with all the markets and food shops in the area, it is perfect. The apartment is lovely, thoughtfully decorated, tucked away in a beautiful courtyard, complete with all the amenities. Highly recommended.

Our Perfect Place in Paris

We loved our stay in this apartment, and booked our next stay before leaving. We appreciated the amazing daylight from outside, view of the nicely lighted garden from all the windows, and the generously sized rooms. The location is one we prefer because it is a real neighborhood with great food options from the Casino supermarket/shopping center next door to the “food street”, Belles Feuilles, and excellent bakeries and traiteur within an easy walk. It is not a “typical” Paris apartment, but an architectural minimalist interior space in a two story townhouse, set in a quiet garden courtyard. The owner lives in the three stories above the apartment, and is a delightful human being. This apartment may not be for everyone because there is an open stairway with handrail only on the wall side, and the kitchen is an “efficiency” model with a small under-counter refrigerator, a half-size dishwasher, and two gas burners along with plenty of dishes and wine glasses. However, those things are what contribute to the wonderfully open and spacious feeling and we could accommodate up to six for a meal. The apartment is perfect for a single or couple with living room and kitchen downstairs and bedroom and bath upstairs.

Just thought I would let you know what a great place you have. We really enjoyed our stay at your apartment. It was very clean and comfortable. The apartment is very spacious and well equipped. The location was great. The walk to the Tower was less than 10 minutes and metro and buses are great. I would highly recommend the apartment to anyone searching for a place t ostay in Paris that is quiet and close to the action. Thanks again and hope to visit again soon! Mary Frances, Rich and Ricky.

Great Memories - Great Apartment - Amazing Location - 1 Week Stay

Our enjoyment of the apartment was only made even better by Phillipe's friendly and supportive manner. Trully a beautiful property on a quiet street in Paris. The photos are accurate on the website and the house is painted in shades of white with sheer curtains and big windows. We went to the market every other day and enjoyed cooking dinner at the apartment as much as eating out. We acheived our goal to live like a family in Paris and thanks to Phillipe our memory will last a very long time. I am ready to go to back to the Peugot dealer down the street and ship a Peugot sports car back to San Diego just to remember the great time we had. Loved the ouside tables and interior gardens. Nice neighbors too. Farmers market on the corner offered great fresh produce. Walking distance to the Eiffel Tower and easy access to two different metro points like Victor Hugo. Good restaurants within walking distance. This is in the 16th arrondissement - so it is an upper middle class neighborhood not on a tourist street. But it had all the charm and more. We found it much better to take the metro to the main tourist areas and return back to the apartment for peace and quiet each night. This was a great week in Paris. Phillipe - thanks also for your directions for driving to Barcelona. This was a whole different adventure to drive accross France and we did stay in Sete. I will email you the details. Travellers renting vehicles with GPS and voice direction in France should stick to the French language voice. Most GPS in the EU offer several languages. Unfortunately the British English " GPS assistant" had a terrible pronunciation in French and we would have probably ended up in Poland. HA ! My wife and our two daughters enjoyed the apartment and highly recommend it. We would stay again. Gary

This is a find, wonderful spacious rooms, a superb neighborhood and location, a charming owner and host all contributed to a perfect vacation in Paris.
