This saltwater farm sits on approximately 10 acres with a well maintained five bedroom farmhouse, barn, and quaint storage building together with a beach - all in a pastoral setting looking west across a field, Penobscot Bay and the islands to the sunset view over the Camden Hills. The property is in a private setting at the end of the town road on Crabtree Point at the westerly end of the Island of North Haven. We are about five minutes to the grocery store and ten minutes to the village.
In the quaint village, where the ferry from Rockland lands (hour trip), there is some shopping, art galleries and dining. There is also an active community center and a yacht club that offers sailing classes for children, and tennis. There is a separate nine hole golf course with exceptional views. The island offers superb boating and biking opportunities. It is located in an area with many picturesque islands and inlets.
The house is charming with many tasteful touches and furnishings giving it an elegant simplicity. It has a master bedroom and bathroom with a shower on the first floor. Also on the first floor is a large country kitchen, a cozy dinning room, a full length living room, a study, a screened-in porch ideal for cocktails or evening dining, and an open-air sunporch off the kitchen. Nearby beach access for a boats on the Thoroughfare side of the island may be arranged.
On the second floor is a second queen size bedroom, two bedrooms with twin beds and one bedroom with a single bed. There is a bathroom on the second floor with a tub and no shower.
