Kahana Sunset is an ocean front resort with 72 low-rise units on secluded Keone Nui beach where, often, the only footprints you see are your own. The sand is pristine, the turtles & tropical fish are abundant, and the waves are family-friendly ~ whether calm and gentle for snorkeling or with sets of waves rolling in, perfect for the body surfers in the family. Each day brings a new beach experience.
Our 1100 square foot home has been beautifully and totally remodeled as of January 2009 ~ we created a spacious living, dining, kitchen area, powder room and remodeled the two upper level bathrooms. It is beautifully furnished in a tasteful, understated tropical decor.
Just inside the door, you'll find a custom 'cubby credenza' with a bamboo basket 'cubby' for every member of your family. It's the perfect place to stow your towel, keys, cell phone and beach bag! The kitchen with its spacious granite peninsula is well-appointed, with everything you need when you decide to dine in. You'll find flat screen HD TVs in every room with a Bose in-wall speaker system and stereo dock for your iPod in the entertainment center. Our local property manager, Sullivan Properties, will handle any on-island needs you have.
At sunset, everyone gathers at the beach to watch the most spectacular sunsets on Maui. After sunset, the grills are the place to be ~ with guests sharing favorite recipes, restaurants, and island activities. Kahana Sunset is a special place where your family can share time together, make new friends, and create cherished memories. Most of our guests come back to our paradise year after year. My husband and I celebrated our 10th wedding anniversary and vow renewal on Maui. The condo is wonderful - everything that the photos feature. Great kitchen that was very well equiped. I am a professional chef and was pleasantly surprised at everything that was inlcuded. We loved the location as well. We were only steps from the beach. Great snorkeling. Turtle and a ton of fish. We would highly recommend booking this unit. We hope to return again sometime.Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, adventure seekers, families with young children, girls getaway, age 55+.

My family and I had a wonderful stay at Kahana Sunset B2. Everything has been updated and well maintained. The grounds are well manicured and the pool is nice (and warm) for adults or children. The owners were so easy to work with. Each of the decks has a great ocean view, and the lower one has an awning that few other units have. All in all, a very relaxing and enjoyable way to spend a week in Maui.Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway, age 55+.

We did spend 8 days at the place. It was great. Very well equipped, all you could wish for in the kitchen was there. Great view from both levels.. Area is really nice and very well taken care of. Management and staff very friendly, helpful and always going the extra mile. Planning to come back soon and often.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, age 55+.

We have been coming to Kahana Sunset for over 25 years off and on. This unit is the best unit we have stayed in so far, completely updated, granite, new furniture, paint, etc. Susan Campbell is great to deal with with rental needs, fast communication etc. This will be our 2nd stay in this unit coming up Nov. 4th. Great privacy, beach, and relaxation while being close to golf, dining, local coffee shop within walking distance while still keeping all your privacy. Can't say enough, we simply love it here!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, age 55+.

We are just back from a fantastic week at Kahana Sunset. The condo is beautiful. It has been recently updated / upgraded and is very tastefully decorated. The condo has warm colors, nice decor /furniture and special touches throughout. Beds were very comfortable and bathrooms are modern and clean with beautiful tile. The property itself is gorgeous - private beach, well maintained grounds with beautiful flowers / trees (even an herb garden that is open for all to use). The property also has a very friendly, comfortable and casual feel with great staff and friendly guests/owners. We will definitely be back some day and plan to highly recommend this unit and property to friends and family. All arrangements and enquiries with owners were prompt, professional and helpful.Recommended for: People with disabilities, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, age 55+.

Our first time on Maui without staying in a hotel and to be quite honest, we will never go back to staying in hotels! This place was fantastic! It was so peaceful, beautifully decorated and so close to all the amenities. We are already planning our next visit. About the owner: The Campbell and Maples families are from Colorado. Campbells are empty-nesters now but our kids have been coming to Kahana Sunset with us for twenty-five years. They still do! We love the outdoors and the ocean. Kahana Sunset is the perfect place for us to relax and renew. The Maples have two kids in elementary school. They are newer to Kahana Sunset, but have quickly fallen in love with our Maui home. Both families share a love of time with our kids,the outdoors, sports, and the island of Maui!
Why the Owner Chose Kahana:
The Campbells have vacationed at Kahana Sunset since 1987, coming back year after year. We became a part of the Kahana Sunset family years before becoming owners. It is a family, a community of guests who come back year after year. We've become friends with other owners and guests who vacation there at the same time every year. The Maples are newer to the property but are quickly becoming Kahana Kousins! This place is somewhere your family will make memories too!
