A 300-foot, stone driveway off a country dirt road leads you to The Cabin. Built just 15 years ago, it’s an ideal get-away for couples or families seeking a quiet, natural environment without sacrificing the comforts of home. The Cabin is situated on 46 private, secluded acres with trails, woods and meadows – all yours to privately explore and enjoy. The Cabin has a log exterior, with knotty pine interior throughout. A wrap-around porch, complete with Adirondack chairs and a porch swing, overlooks an expansive lawn (you will likely have to share it with the deer) and miles of valley and distant mountains. There is a wood stove for the winter months. It sleeps six very comfortably. There are two official bedrooms, each with a queen bed, plus two twin beds in the loft. There are two full baths. Firearms, smoking and hunting are NOT allowed on the property.
Enjoy the Outdoors! There are trails that have been cut on the property that are wonderful for taking walks and hikes at anytime of the day. Alternatively, if you are interested in some 'down time' and would like to simply kick back and relax, the 3-sided porch provides plenty of room to spread out. There is also a fire pit for campfires and plenty of woods to explore.
Escape from the Chaos! There aren't a lot of neighbors around the cabin and if you are looking to buy groceries, you'll need to travel about 5 - 10 miles. There's a small convenience store about 3 miles down the road but you won't find much other than sandwiches, milk, bread and a good supply of ice cream and candy bars.
Get Some Writing Done or Complete a Project! While the Cabin provides a very relaxing setting to kick back and relax, it can also be conducive to getting a lot done. If you are a writer, a professional or an artist faced with the task of completing a project, consider coming to the Cabin to get your work done. The quiet and uninterrupted time (although there is a telephone and internet access if you REALLY need it) can help to focus your efforts in a productive and meaningful way!

Fantastic vacation!! This is the ideal place to relax and unwind. It's a place where you can truly forget about the world while you're there. Perfect for those who enjoy hiking, wildlife and solitude. The cabin has rustic charm while providing all of the modern convienences (phone, internet, satellite TV, wsher/dryer). The property was beautifully maintained and the owner even provides birdseed to fill the feeders, and corn for the deer! I hesitate to write this review, because I want this place all to myself! I will, however, echo the other reviewer's sentiments: the worst thing about the cabin was having to leave. This was the perfect place to get away from it all, the perfect place for a personal retreat. The property was beautiful and immaculately kept. The owner was kind, friendly, and very accommodating. Our stay in the cabin was wonderful. The quiet/remote location was terrific, and has a wonderful feeling of making you feel "away from it all." While the cabin has a rustic feel, it also has every modern amenity to make you comfortable. As a family, we had a total of 6 people, and we didn't feel cramped in the least. The property is very well maintained, and the owner obviously takes much pride in this. The owner was responsive and helpful, and couldn't have been easier to deal with. We stayed here when our son got married. It was so peaceful and we were able to watch a lot of wildlife. Very clean and the owner was great to deal with.Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+.
