The Lighthouse sits directly on the Gulf of Mexico less then 1/2 mile down East Beach Blvd. (Hwy. 182).
Please note: we also own a 4th floor 3 bedroom/3 bath unit at the San Carlos condominium complex. The VRBO # on that unit is 227150.
If you enjoy lounging by the pool, prepare yourself as there are three! The first is a extremely kid-friendly zero entry pool which starts at about 2 inches in depth and gradually extends to five feet deep. The children will be thrilled to splash, play and run under the water jets. The second pool is suitable for everyone else and both are huge.
Can't you just feel yourself relaxing under the palm trees in one of the many chaise lounges surrounding both pools? Are hot tubs your favorite way to unwind? There is one located at each end of the pool along with chairs for chatting with friends. The remaining pool is a very large heated indoor pool. This pool,the fitness room and cedar sauna are on the first floor with a perfect beach view from the walls of windows.
When you arrive, go directly to your condo as there is no check-in or check-out. There are no keys to deal with as the door has keyless entry lock. You will be given a code to enter into the keypad, at that time you will then choose your own digit code which you will use for the remainder of your stay. This door lock eliminates the worry of losts keys, constantly having coordinate with others in your group about who has a key, accidental lockouts and is something your children can operate easily. It also has a deadbolt for further security.
The four high speed elevators are enclosed in individual rooms which buffer any noise to the nearby condos. Your room is conveniently located just feet away from one which accesses all of the 1st floor amenities!
Your condo has been tastefully and comfortably decorated. The master bedroom has a king size pillow top mattress with luxury linens. It has a 19" flat panel TV w/DVD player and a ceiling fan. There is ample storage in the walk-in closet with plenty of shelving and hangers. The master bath has a separate double vanity dressing area before you walk into the main bath area with the whirlpool tub, glassed-in shower and commode. The master bedroom and living room both have heavy drapes with blackout lining.
The guest bedroom has a queen pillow-top mattress with luxury linens and ample closet storage with shelving and hangers. It also has a 19" flat panel TV with DVD and a ceiling fan. The guest bath is a shower/tub combination and can be accessed through the guest bedroom and the hallway both. Both bathrooms have hairdryers for your convenience. The bunk room contains two twin beds and is cheerfully decorated.
The living room has a large flat panel TV with DVD player and a ceiling fan. The couch converts to a sleeper sofa and your have super soft linens here too. The kitchen is very well equipped with all of the major and small appliances you will need including a large coffee maker and heavy duty blender, it also has a huge separate pantry. We also have a high chair for the little ones.
The beautiful white sand and turquoise water is like no other. The view from your balcony is simply breath taking. It is accessible from both the living room and master bedroom and is a very spacious.You can watch the kids enjoy the pool, carry on a relaxing conversation and still hear the waves crash on the beach- the best of all worlds! The view is magnificent- enjoy the peaceful mornings watching for dolphins to jump or soak in the breezy evening sunsets.
We normally try to have only Saturday to Saturday rentals during the peak season, however, there are some partial weeks availible.
On a personal note- We have enjoyed the Gulf Shores area for several years now and it is our hands-down favorite. We picked the condo we own because we feel it represents the best of all worlds- a very child-friendly atmosphere but also well-appointed for our adult guests.

Park outside/near your front door and walk right in- no wrangling carts or buggies for personal items and groceries. There are 3 wooden walk-ways with showers leading down to the beach. We also have games, books, DVDs, cards and puzzles for both children and adults. A short walk down the beach will lead you to the Sea n Suds restaurant. Many restaurants, shopping centers, groceries and parks are less than a 5 minute drive away. Check out the website of The Wharf (www.thewharfal.com) for their concert venue on major recording artists, the ampitheatre is less than 15 minutes from you!

- Foley boasts many types of shopping and restaurants including the Tanger Outlet Mall. Stop by their welcome center for coupons and group discounts. A restaurant you don't want to miss is Lambert's Cafe- home of the "throwed rolls"- this is the best down home cooking anywhere! Take a trip to Mobile and visit the battleship U.S.S. Alabama. Plan on spending a few hours there to take it all in, then head down the interstate to watch the greyhounds race (over 18 years only- bring id). Be sure to go to Spanish Fort for some fabulous shopping at the Eastern Shore Centre- you won't believe the choices. Just down the road from that is one of the newest and largest Bass Pro Shops which is a favorite for all. The world famous Blue Angels have bi-weekly flight demonstrations over in Pensacola-visit their site at www.navalaviationmuseum.org for more info on them and the naval museum. Pensacola also has a greyhound track and there is not an age limit for children with adults.

Owner Description
We live in Kentucky and have always really enjoyed our vacations in Gulf Shores. We decided to buy our first condo in late 2008 and due to a SEVERE ice storm in January 2009, escaped their for a few days. We ended up purchasing our other condo at an auction while we were there. I told my husband it was fate that we were there at that time and it was meant to happen ! So, this is our first year renting and we have been thrilled we the results so far. All of our clients have been great to work with and everyone comments on how they have enjoyed their stay with several mentioning they will be back again for certain. This is exactly what we had intended when we decided to begin our rental business. We want to develop loyal customers because they know what we will provide to them and how we value their business.
I ask each client if they have been to the area and if they haven't ( or it's been a few years), I try to provide them with info of the area and activities. Even though the beaches are beautiful,there is just so much to see and do in the entire gulf coast area.
Our family has been involved in a construction related business for 26 years and customer service is truly our number one priority. Clients are spending their hard earned money to relax and get away from it all for just a few days. We want to exceed their expectations on what a vacation rental home should be.
