Our family had a wonderful reunion and your home had so much to do with it! Each of the cousins had a wonderful stay and were sad to leave. Many threatened to miss their flights. From the basket full of beach towels to the hammocks that saw much siesta time to the kayaks, and so much more, all were enjoyed. A great beach right out the door with many lounge chairs overlooking the water were a delight. The bedrooms and baths were luxurious as is the whole home. We had two dinners here at our home, but the other nights just brought the fixings down there and the "younguns" even made us a feast one night. Teresa did a great job, Ian stopped by to see if folks needed anything, and Mac let us drop things off the day before and gave us the keys. We will definately be singing your praise to anyone thinking about a spot to rent here in Los Barriles.

Casa de Las Palmas is a wonderful house! It is perfect for a family of any size, a group of friends, or couples. Its right on the beach, very close to town, and a delightful place to hang out, day or night. At Mary's recommendation, we rented quads for the week and found it the best way to get around. We had a blast, and took day trips to Punta Pescadero, as well as short trips snorkeling and surf fishing. We had a full moon while we were there, so that was a beautiful sight every night off the terrace. The house is well appointed, with plenty of water, two refridgerators, plenty of towels, great mattresses, comfortable air conditioning in the bedrooms when needed, great kitchen appliances, very nice bathrooms, and more! Its a really great beach house, and very clean. We loved having Terry come in each day to tidy up for a few hours, and Norma and her daughter Diana cooked a feast for us. We liked them so much, we had them back to house to prepare another meal. We didnt rent the Casita, but took a peek, and it was also beautiful and well appointed. Just a few feet across the courtyard..... Ian was very helpful, and helped out on a few occasions with questions. We also rented paddleboards and snorkel gear from him. What else can I say? Not only will our families be back, but we will recommend to anyone and everyone to stay there. We already recommended to others we met on our vacation right in Los Barriles! We cant wait to go back!

Our family had the most remarkable time at the house on the beach. the house was beyond our expectations - well maintained and had everything that we needed. the beach was perfect for the adults and the children - we all had a wonderful time. the people who checked in on us and took care of us were wonderful. would hire Norma and her family in a heart beat - the food was awesome! love the quads and the paddleboats! never had a worry or even a concern - would highly recommend this property to all. the fishing was amazing!

I've now stayed at this wonderful house several times, and I'll be back yet again. My friends and I found this place to be perfect for our large group, with kite boarding off the beach directly in front of the house and fishing, snorkling and many other activities close by. But if it's just relaxation you're looking for, this place fits that bill as well. It's a beautiful home, well appointed, secure and the large property is surrounded by walls which make it as private as you'd like. Indeed, though the large living area and beachfront terrace are perfect for getting everyone together, it's easy to get private time as there are private patios off most rooms. And if the house and its location aren't enough, your hostess, Mary is the most accomodating person I've met in the vaction rental business. She honestly is concerned about every detail and in making your stay unforgettable. The view of the Sea of Cortez, the flying rays, the playing whales are enchanting. And there are no beach vendors! Oh, and the shrimp cocktail at Campes tre Triny's in town is the best I've ever had and a meal in itself. Book now. You will not regret it!

We have been visiting Los Barriles for 17 years and this is the second year we have stayed at Casa de las Palmas. This is a fabulous home, nicely decorated and right on the beach. This home is great for a large group or families. The home is very well equipped including a new iPod dock and CD player. The home is located on the street end in a very quiet neighborhood. Yet it is only a five minute walk to great kite boarding and about 20-25 minute walk to downtown via the beach. There were five guys and the new Casita allowed everyone to have a private bedroom. Two of the group went fishing and caught Dorado and Marlin. Baby turtles hatched and were released in front on the beach during our stay. The owners are very helpful in answering any questions about the home or Los Barriles. I hope to stay here again next year.

I could give this vacation home a multitude of adjectives that depict how gorgeous it truly is, however, there is one word that describes it better than the rest ~ unfathomable. On the day that we arrived to the vacation home, the first thing I did was step out onto the back porch and just stare at the breath-taking view of the sea of cortez. I was speechless. Never have I seen such a captivating picture in my life! Every morning, I would step out onto the back porch, read a nice book, and just stare at the sunrise for hours. With the villa's comfortable furniture both inside and outside, I could just feel my troubles evaporate into the warm, baja breeze. Conveniently, I had the choice to either bask in the warm, sunny weather of the baja peninsula, or rest peacefully in the guest bedroom with excellent air conditioning. Additionally, with so many activities nearby, such as riding quads through the nearby arroyos, or going scuba diving into the clear, majestic waters of the sea of cortez, there was no possibility of getting bored! With the city of Cabo San Lucas only 1-2 hours away, we were in close proximity to a wonderful tourist location that is always entertaining to explore! I guess anyone could say that, after this vacation, I didn't just get a good tan; I also got a new perspective on life. Thanks to this amazing getaway, I am able to carry a cherished memory that will always define a significant part of my personality and my mindset toward the rest of the world.

Our family of six had a delightful stay at Casa de las Palmas. The beautiful house is very well furnished with everything you might need and Mary was wonderful in giving us lots of info on what to do. "The boys" enjoyed a day of deep sea fishing catching Tuna and Dorado. We rented a quad for the week which was fun to have to explore the area and beach. The locals were friendly and kind. We enjoyed a side trip to Todo Santos and the Pacific Ocean. Thanks for our wonderful stay!

I felt it was important to comment about our wonderful week vacation at Los Barriles. Some of my family and friends decided to do a change of pace for a winter break this year. We decided to go back to Baja Mexico, but this time instead of staying at Cabo San Lucas we did some internet surfing and found this wonderful hacienda in the small town of Los Barriles, (just an hour north of Cabo on the Sea of Cortez). The accommodations were much more than we expected. And the weekly rate we paid was actually less than it otherwise would have been if we had stayed in Cabo. We all enjoyed it very much. There are many and varied things to do here: Kite boarding, scuba diving, all kinds of fishing, from small but gamely Dorado, to the Marlin and Tuna. The little town atmosphere was really reinforced for me when we booked a fishing trip, and the young man taking us out pulled up right on the beach outside the house. My buddy and I were off fishing within a few minutes of departure. There is so much to do and see in this area. One day we rented ATV’s and we explored far into what we thought were dry washes and canyons. The further up the canyons we went, we found small streams with large freshwater pools with whispering waterfallsTo bring this extended comment to a close, my most memorable time at Los Barriles was more simple than any of those things I mentioned. It was just sitting on the back porch around the small fireplace with a cool drink, talking, and enjoying my family and friends long into the night. It was great. Thanks MaryMK

Great home! Right on the beach and close to town. Very comfortable home and very relaxing seven days. Bedrooms afford a lot of privacy. Hope to visit again next year.

We enjoyed our stay at this well-appointed, secured home just north of Barriles on the beach. It had everything we needed from kitchenware to a cozy living room to great bathrooms, comfy beds, washer/dryer, many hammocks, and including a good bar-be-que for all the fish we caught. We availed ourselves of the contact for cooking and fishing; although should have said, "Yes!" to the cleaning lady. We took in all the privacy this lovely house had to offer, yet knew we could have help for anything if we needed it. This house is not fancy, just well done, clean, and perfect for our trip. Bring your own DVDs for evening entertainment, your Ipod, as there is a docking station, and a bathing suit. The rest is there for the asking! Loved it!
