Log Cabin Home on 1 Acre
Year Purchased: 2001
Why the Owner Chose Edgartown
I love the feel and coziness of the log cabin. The fact that I was less than 2 miles from Town but having the feeling of being tucked away on a retreat due to the wooded conservation land that adjoins the property.
The Unique Benefits at this House
1. Tranquility. 2. My creative process kicks into high gear. 3. The ability to be secluded while being only 8 minutes away from being in the "thick of things".
Owner's Map of Edgartown
I am a practicing attorney in New York and I have been enjoying my Vineyard home since my purchase in 2001. Initially, I was hesitant to share my home but then started to rent my retreat two years ago.

A group of business school friends and I rented this place for July 4th weekend and had an absolute blast. It has a plethora of amenities and plenty of space. It truly felt like a cozy retreat from the world. I would highly recommend it to my friends and family. There were a couple of issues with the internet, dishwasher, and a bit of an odor from some newly stained panels. However, Cindy the owner was super receptive and helpful in troubleshooting issues (even over the July 4th weekend). The rooms were spacious. The hammocks were comfortable. The location was excellent and near the main beaches and town. All in all it was quaint and we had a fantastic time.
Owner response:We're delighted that this group of friends stayed at the house and had a wonderful time! It was unfortunate that the internet was down and the provider, Verizon, had to make repairs to the outside cables. We decided to buy a brand new dishwasher and was happy this nice group of people were the first to use it! Thanks for staying at our house!

The cottage is exceptional, each morning the birds, rabbits, squirrels and butterflys greeted us. The landscaping and overall experience were great. I would recommend, and would stay there again. Location is convenient to Edgartown and Vineyard Haven, and south beach, Katama. Great get away.

Our family stayed in this wonderful log cabin in July. We loved it!! Everything was beautiful and so clean. We enjoyed the quiet location, sitting on the porch at night, having an acre of land around us. We were close to Edgartown, Vineyard Haven and Oaks Bluff. The children loved the big tv and we loved how cozy everthing was. This is definitely the best way to stay in Martha's Vineyard. The hotels are very expensive and you don't get the spacious feel you have in the log cabin. I would stay here again and highly recommend it.

We rented this house in late June/early July and really enjoyed our stay there. The owner(s) were very helpful and pleasant to deal with and the house is as advertised. The location was perfect - at the end of a quiet street - and we sat out on the front porch in the mornings and back porch in the evenings to catch the sun. It worked out well for two couples, even though only one of the upper bedrooms has a half bath.

We had a wonderful time at the log cabin house. The place looks exactly like the pictures. we went early june and the grass was just coming in but nonetheless beautifully manicured. the house is very pretty inside and the brand new refrigerator and flat screen TV was a definite plus. it was a pleasure to deal with the owner and making reservation was a snap. would definitely recommend to friends and stay again in the future.

The house was exactly as represented by both the description and the photos. We loved the outdoor space; there is a beautiful wildflower garden in the back. The new refrigerator and TV were a definite bonus. Quiet street but five minute drive or short bike ride into town. It was a pleasure the owner, and we will definitely stay at this property again.
