Bald eagles are frequently seen as they "fish" the gold medal waters that flow in front of the property. We leave a spotting scope on the property to afford closeup views of the ducks and diving blue birds in the river.
The Basalt River Place features a mountain contemporary design. Organic, fun, cozy, spacious, light airy. Comfortable when you are solo and very accommodating for entertaining guests. Enjoy a nice collection of art and books. Many layers of lighting fixtures at your finger tips.
Lower Level
Two car garage, spacious entry with coat closet, guest room with wool carpet, queen bed decorated in mountain river theme and full bath. Walkout patio circled in lilac bushes with dining table and outdoor living room, barbeque. Every bed in house has down duvets.
Middle Level
Living room, dining room, kitchen, pantry, laundry, and small bathroom. The focus is the river from the large picture window. Floor plan is nice and open includes a fireplace and 42" flat screen tv and stereo. Top of the line maple cabinets with stainless steel panels, stainless gas cooking stove and oven,stainless large refrigerator, dishwasher and granite counters. All wood floors except in bath and laundry which are glass tile. Service ware for eight.
Top Level
Master bedroom has vaulted ceilings with a small deck overlooking the river. Wool carpets. King sized feather bed. Amazing master bath with glass euro style shower, granite counter tops, Oval 2 person soaking tub. Yes you will feel like you are at the spa. Secondary bedroom on third level has high ceilings, full bath with queen bed.
The Great Indoors!
No guarantees on what you will see from the living room window... but I have seen deer, beaver, ducks and their young, a family of raccoons and even a black bear! During soft glow of the night in Basalt is when many of the animal sightings occur. Kayakers and fisherman are also fun to watch.

Recreation: In addition to Aspen and Snowmass Village by car being only 15 - 20 minutes away -
Fishing right out your door on the Frying Pan River and 200 yards away from the Roaring Fork River. The home is close to amazing road and mountain biking as well as some wonderful hiking with magnificent views of the valley. We are located within 20 minutes drive (17 miles) of Aspen and Snowmass mountains giving you easy access to skiing at these world famous mountains. The Rio Grande Trail is a great place to walk, bike or cross country ski, this trail runs from Glenwood Springs to Aspen and is a few minutes away.
