Owner's Profile

Owner Description

Year Purchased: 2005

My wife and I love Mammoth, all year around. We met in Mammoth, and visited Mammoth while dating, so now that we are married, we had to own in a place that means so much to us. We both love to travel, and stay in nice hotels. When we remodeled our condo, our inspiration was the Westin and W Hotels. I am on the board for the Home Owners Association; a board dedicated to keeping the Chamonix Condos beautiful and up to date. You will find it hard to find a nicer facility and better location in Mammoth.

Why the Owner Chose Chamonix

Chamonix is one of the finest complexes in Mammoth. It is a very short walk to Canyon Lodge for skiiing and boarding. The facilities are very nice inside and out. Beware - not all units at Chamonix are remodeled, and few are as nice as ours.

The Unique Benefits of this Condominium

In the winter, we are a very short walk to Canyon Lodge, which has become the center of Mammoth Mountain. The people and facilities at Canyon are first class. When the weather is nice, Canyon Lodge hosts bands in the afternoon for apres ski. If the weather is not so nice, stop by Austria Hof Hotel on the way down the mountain for libations with vacationers and locals.

In the summer, mountain bikers enjoy bike in/bike out convenience. You can leave the door and bike downhill to the village to by park passes and take the bike shuttle to the top. You can also bike into the condo by any trail that ends at Canyon Lodge.

In the summer we enjoy hiking in the mountains, road trips to nearby lakes, fishing, and boating in the nearby lakes. There are so many things to see and do, (Yosemite, Devils Postpile, ghost towns, hidden falls and lakes, rock climbing, etc)that we always find new adventures.
