Every detail and amenity was considered when building The White House which was completed in Jan '09. The house is situated to maximize the ocean view and the pool was raised to living area level for easy access, entertaining and viewing from the kitchen and living area with families in mind,
The pool outdoor kitchen/gazebo encompasses everything needed for entertaining - Built in Viking Grill, Refrigerator and Sound System. Pool deck furnished with dining table and chairs and teak and mesh chaises like those found in a 5 star hotel in Bali.
The interior of the house has white shiplap walls, vaulted ceilings, and wide plank rich wood floors. Living area has 25 foot vaulted ceiling which make it bright and airy. 6 Double Mahogany doors lead out to pool and deck area.
Kitchen is specially designed because "the party always ends up in the kitchen". Large open plan with vaulted ceilings, white marble countertops. Large Bar with Seating, Breakfast nook with 2 Mahogany doors leading to pool area, Fully equipped Butlers Pantry with Ice Maker and Wine

We had the pleasure of staying at this house for our first family reunion. While pictures are generally worth a thousand words, in this case they fall very, very short in conveying just how magnificent this house is. The awesomeness starts right away and it assaults you at every turn. You walk into a cavernous yet curiously cozy great room with a kitchen that tempts even the most celebrated culinary neophyte to whip up something gourmet. A fun game we played throughout our stay was “What does this kitchen NOT have?” (Hint: you will lose at this game because the owners have managed to think well beyond what an above average human needs to cook.) The bedrooms—It’s like Architectural Digest married Verandah magazine and they were honeymooning on Travel & Leisure island. All of bedrooms are peaceful retreats with showers someone has to pry you out of. If you go with a large group, claim the master bedroom with haste-- even if you have to give up your first born. Well worth it. The only problem with this home is that you will not be compelled to go anywhere else. We had lofty plans of going into Charleston and sightseeing and generally spending a lot of time away. But by the time the kids swam and played in the pool while the adults lounged on incredibly epic chaise lounges; by the time we all sat together around the magnificent and thoughtful round table with the French doors opened; by the time we napped in luxurious beds scheming on how to finagle another week at this house; by the time someone grilled something spectacularly fattening and delightful on the dauntingly awesome grill; by the time we took in the breathtaking views and chatted with local residents who kept telling us how much they love the house------ well, it would be time to put the kiddies to bed and lounge on sinful sofas as a TV big enough to be a respectable country in its own rights entertains the adults. The beach is a block away, so some industrious members of the family were able to get in morning works out by running or biking. The hardwood floors, the two laundry rooms, the soft linens and towels, the tasteful decor, the--oh oh OH!- the elevator, the proximity to stores and restaurants, the overall sense of "home" this house provides is ethereal. Peggy and Leslie are gracious hosts who are attentive and in-tune. They helped make our reunion memorable and by which every other reunion is measured. As the kids say, "AH-MAZING!"
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, tourists without a car, families with teenagers, girls getaway, families with young children.

Our family has vacationed on the Isle of Palms at least once annually for the last 10 years or so. We were under the (very mistaken) notion that the best homes to rent on the island were in the Wild Dunes Resort. Well, this home disproved that thought completely!! We took a five-family spring break vacation and needed to find a home with enough ‘elbow room’ for us. This home gave us that and then some! The amenities and appointments from the beautiful furniture, to the surround sound, to the fantastic kitchen, to the great heated pool, to the phenomenal 3-directional showers (you gotta experience this!!), to the wine cooler, to the built-in elevator for those lazy moments or when you're carrying bags full of groceries, to the excellent architectural design of the home added to its great proximity to the beach (literally a 3-minute walk) make this home a fantastic choice for families. We had the most wonderful, relaxing, fun time at this home and very much look forward to coming back. We highly, highly recommend it!!
