Nestled into a beautiful forest setting next to the Hatton Canyon, you will find this charming cottage perfect for your Carmel getaway. Everything you need from a weekend to a week, and only a few minutes to downtown Carmel.
The cottage overlooks the canyon and features a beautiful bedroom, bathroom with lovely tile shower, kitchenette and living room with a welcoming corner fireplace. There is also a trundle bed in the living room (converts to two twins or a king width bed), plus three chairs, a flat screen television with DVD player and wireless broadband Internet access.
A gorgeous deck surrounds the cottage with plenty of seating and a barbecue for outdoor enjoyment. Steps lead to the upper deck where a wonderful outdoor hot tub awaits for special evenings under the stars.
For the active traveler Moonglow offers equipment for hiking, biking, kayaking, tennis, golf and the beach. Walk or bike out the door to unspoiled Hatton Canyon.
This is a unique spot for those that enjoy the tranquility of the forest, yet want to be minutes away from Carmel’s beautiful white sand beach and many artistic shops and restaurants.

Sep-May: $350/2 nights, $1050/week
Jun-Aug: $400/2 nights, $1200/week
Rates are for 2 people. $20 extra per night for each additional person.
$45 cleaning fee. No extra charges. Deposit payable by credit card.
Rates May be higher for holidays and special events.

Why the Owner Chose Carmel By the Sea
In 2004 we fell in love with Sundance, a rustic and secluded home on a half acre overlooking Hatton Canyon. We immediately bought it, sold our home in Del Mar, and became Carmelites. We love it here and have never looked back. Our family and friends enjoyed staying in the guest cottage, and after our son built a magnificent deck around it we christened it "Moonglow" and decided to offer it as a vacation rental. As you can see from the guestbook, it has been very popular.

Our romance began in 1961 when Diane came to Carmel to be a 4th grade teacher at Carmel River School. She met Chuck who had just left the Navy's Blue Angels and was enrolled in the Naval Postgraduate School. In 1964 we were married and began a life together. Through the years, as a Navy family, we lived many places, but always returned to Carmel to visit our old friends and to bask in the beauty of the area. Of course, we always wished we had bought a place when we first lived here, and never really thought we would ever live in Carmel.

Our daughter Maya literally bounced all day! We have spent a lot lof time in Carmel, but we felt like locals - grilling our dinners and relaxing in the hot tub!
