My wife and I were looking for a place just like this. We chose this one because it was cute and most of all it has a back porch were we spent most of our relaxing time. Breakfast at the cottage was just right. We went to Natchez for lunch and supper every day. We recommend these places to eat at; Roux 61 (South of Natchez), Magnolia Grill (on the river), Pig-Out BBQ and Fish Fry (accross the bridge in Vidalia). All of these are close by. We recommend only 3 things to the owners; adding a 110v plug on the porch to power cell phones, tablets and a couple small portable fans, having Wi-fii available throughout the house and on the porch and replacing the old BBQ pit. We highly recommend this cottage over the others for a romantic and relaxing week end. Choosing this one was definitly not a mistake and you will not regret staying here.

Our stay at Blueberry Hill Cottage was exceptional. The cottage was better equipped than any timeshare or rental that we had previously visited. Our host made us feel a home. The decor was most delightful. We (two couples) found the cottage very comfortable. Coming from the Pacific Northwest our goal was to learn some of the real history of the South and Natchez and neighboring areas provided that experience. We were fortunate that the Natchez Pilgrimage and Vicksburg Tapestry were in progress. The National Park Service provides sites and estates at little or no cost (Golden Eagle Pass). I would recommend visiting Natchez and staying at Blueberry Hill Cottage to everyone.

I cannot say enough about this wonderful cottage. Perfect in every way. Even the neighbors dog buckshot was darling. the hostess was there when needed and very gracious. Natchez was beyond what i expected and I am already homesick for my home away from home.

The four of us enjoyed a wonderful week's stay in this charming cottage nestled on the lovely pastoral grounds overlooking the The River...The property is impeccably maintained and thoughtfully decorated, mirroring the design of the owners impressive home a short stroll away through a flower-lined brick court-yard. Soft robes, assortments of bath products, lovely ironed sheets and canopied beds made it one of the most comfortable places we have ever stayed. After touring the beautiful historic homes of Natchez all day, it was such a pleasure to return here to a place that felt like 'coming home' . Carol has fully stocked the kitchen with breakfast and snack foods....We cooked our own dinners sometimes in the convection oven or on the glass-top stove, and so enjoyed using her charming set of blue and yellow dishes. The real pleasure of this place, though, lies outside the door on the 'back porch' watching the sun set on the river and absorbing the immense quietness of a place truly apart. It is a bit like stepping back in time.....and, there is that enchanting Southern warmth that Braxton and Carol epitomize ..... that embraces you instantly, making you at ease...and at home. We are so happy to share our recommendation with anyone planning a trip to Natchez.
Owner response:WOW!! Thank you for such a wonderful review. It was a pleasure having you here and getting to know you. I hope you will come again or that someway we will meet another time. Thank you again. Carol

My husband and I made a trip to Natchez for our 24th anniversary and stayed at Blueberry Hill Cottage. We stayed 3 nights and had great time. The cottage is beautifully decorated and very comfortable and relaxing. It is clean and well maintained. The deck provides a nice view of the river. We enjoyed sitting out there in the mornings and enjoying the breeze. Carol has done a wonderful job of creating a beautiful get away. She is a gracious hostess and made our stay stress free. The cottage had everything we needed. Thanks for a wonderful stay and for the view of the sunset.
Owner response:Thank you, thank you for your beautiful review. Knowing that you enjoyed your stay makes me love what I do. Thank you again for taking the time to write a review. Hope you come back. Carol

my sisters and i stayed here for 3 nights and it was so wonderful. carol and braxton are wonderful hosts and shared their lovely porch and view of the river with us...a little slice of heaven. carol is a wonderful decorator and the cabin was just lovely. it was very clean and comfortable and had everything we could possibly need. we enjoyed the porch overlooking the river and the sunsets were amazing. the pictures on the website are accurate but don't quite do the cottage justice. GREAT PLACE!
Owner response:Thanks Nancy for the great review! Tell the sisters hello for me. We enjoyed your visit.

Three of us ladies just stayed at Blueberry Hill Cottage for the Spring Pilgrimage and it was everything we could have hoped for and more. It is so quaint and charming and everything is decorated so perfectly it is hard to believe it until you see it for yourself. It is my idea of every English cottage I have read about with a little bit of Cape Cod tastefully added. I read all of the other reviews myself before we went and just couldn't understand about there being so much to eat, and not having to bring much, but believe it, it's true. Carol, the owner is very friendly and informative without being intrusive. I cannot wait to go back because I certainly will. I have just one little suggestion for Carol: In the pictures of the cottage, I was expecting the bricked area to be a parking pad. I think youall might consider making this into one because it would make it so much easier for people who have difficulty walking to park and get into the cottage other than walking over the uneven ground to the deck. And when more than one vehicle is involved, it would certainly help. But either way, this will not stop me from coming back. Thanks again for letting me stay at such an enchanting place.

the cottage from the inside is much nicer then from the ouside. the rooms are kept perfectly clean and very well decorated. many pieces look quite old not in a sense that they are in a poor condition, but in a sence of belonging to some "good old days" - this creates a great atmosphere and cosiness. the view on the river is remarkable. i would like to underline the friendliness of the owners - they are very pleasant people. And you may be sure Carol will be very helpful if you need - she is very nice and open and she really cares that you enjoy your stay. I'm very happy that I chose Blueberry Hill for my trip to Natchez. highly recommended
Owner response:Stanislav, Thank you for the lovely review. I enjoyed having you and your mother as my guests I hope our paths will cross again someday. I enjoyed talking with you and learning a little about Russia. Give your mom a hug for me. Carol

We had the most wunderfull time in this lovely, beautifull cottage. We stayed for 2 nights here. We were on a road trip, from memphis to savannah. The cottage was a delight after driving for a couple of days. We rested, used the washingmachine and felt right at home. The ambiance was warm and welcoming. Carol and Braxton made us feel like we were home. We want to thank them through this message. And Winston! If we are ever in Natchez this is the cottage we will be staying again! Two college roomies and I met here for an all girls' getaway this past week. This place was WONDERFUL! The river view is beautiful, the cottage is neat and clean, and the hostess is amazing. She thinks of everything you could possibly want! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, her hospitality, the privacy of our own place (so much better than a B & B where you have other people in the same house!) and the convenience to historic Natchez. I would strongly recommend this cottage to anyone wanting privacy, but yet convenience, and all the ammenities of home.

Our stay at the cottage was wonderful. The owner is a perfect hostess providing everything that we could possibly need. The cottage is beautifully decorated to enhance a peaceful, restful stay. The beds are extremely comfortable. We spent hours each morning with coffee on the deck overlooking the Mississippi, watching the many colorful birds. Natchez is a true southern town with all of the hospitality and friendliness you expect. I highly recommend touring Rosalie and Longwood homes. The tour guides were very interesting and entertaining with their stories of the families that lived there. The winery is also an interesting place with free wine tasting. The Castle restaurant at Dunleith has excellent food and service. I highly recommend Blueberry Hill River Cottage and Natchez for a perfect get-away.

My sister and I had a fabulous time at Blueberry Hill River Cottage! We cannot express how greatful we are to Carol for her kindness. She made sure my sister, who has Cerebral Palsy, had everything she needed to feel right at home. ( bringing in a chair for the shower). The beds were more than perfect, and the surroundings made us feel like we were truly back in an earlier time. The cottage is full of helpful Natchez information, the books were so good that we found copies at the local stores to take home with us. Carol stocks the fridge and has delicious baked goods ready for you to eat! I think they were meant for breakfast, but who cares! This place is situated in the perfect location to see the history of Natchez or drive into New Orleans. We couldn't have asked for a better vacation, and truly felt right at home. The view is unbelieveable, and the morning wake up calls from Mother Nature were even welcomed! I think the contract stated no children under 12, however, it was just what we were looking for, and more! Make sure to say hello to Winston too!

We were guests at the cottage last week while visiting Natchez, MS for the first time. Upon arrival we were both surprised and delighted by the beautiful view of the river and enchanted by the quaint quest cottage! We were able to watch the sunset from the deck and were intrigued by watching barges move up the river. The Hobdys made our stay very comfortable and thought of everything that we might need from snacks to breakfast items and homemade muffins. The cottage was charming and immaculate and we loved the decor! We were close to Natchez with easy access and yet the cottage was very quiet and restful. Carol Hobdy was gracious and eager to make our stay as pleasant as possible. We would highly recommend the cottage for anyone looking for accomodations in this area. We will plan to stay here again!

We (two couples) thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this great cottage by the river. Our hosts, Carol and Braxton, made us feel right at home and were extremely helpful in providing us with information that made our stay in Natchez memorable. The cottage has all amenities of a boutique hotel at half the price. We cannot say enough positive things about our stay and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the Natchez area

What a lovely cottage. We loved all the windows. It gave us the feeling of being at the beach. The cottage was decorated so well and the owners were super nice. There was plenty of breakfast foods left for us, lots of towels and a gorgeous view of the river, especially at sundown. We have absolutely nothing negative to say. We have already booked the cottage again for later in the year.
Owner response:Thank you for your beautiful comments. You were an absolute joy to have as our guests.

Four of us shared the cottage this past week when we visited Natchez during the Spring Pilgrimage. What a lovely cottage it is. From the beautiful view of the Mississippi River to the charming decorative touches throughout the cottage, what a wonderful experience it was. Our host also provided us with delicious homemade muffins, bread and filled the refrigerator with a lot of refreshments and other breakfast items. She showed us true southern hospitality. I highly recommend this property.

Blueberry Hill Cottage provided us with a perfect home base for our stay in Natchez. Quiet and restful, we thoroughy enjoyed the panoramic view of the river from the deck and yard. The cottage itself was delightful - cozy, comfortable and very spacious, with every amenity we could have desired. We enjoyed breakfast in the mornings from the well-stocked refrigerator and snacks throughout the day. We were just 5 minutes from the center of Natchez -when we drove directly and weren't waylaid by the allure of the fascinating City Cemetery as we passed. In Natchez we enjoyed the beautiful homes - inside and out as we were there during Pilgrimage - as well as great dining. Natchez was also the start of our enjoyable drive up the Natchez Trace as we headed home. Our hosts welcomed us with the very best in southern hospitality. We would definitely recommend Blueberry Cottage to friends and hope to return ourselves.
