Peace of Heaven is a very private 2 bedroom, 2 bath cabin. It is very clean and beautifully decorated. There are no steps and the deck goes from the carport around the house to the front covered deck. Our covered deck over looks Wears Valley and the mountains in the distance from our covered front porch. (see the sun set pictures) In the back, the view is the back side of the Smokies. It is within 10 minutes of the entrance to the park. It is very centrally located Whether it is hiking trail, swimming in a mountain stream, going to Gatlinburg, Cades Cove, Townsend, Pigeon Forge or even Cherokee N.C. You will have not 1 traffic light.
Each bedroom has a king bed with a pillow top mattress., Each has its own bath and one has a large whirlpool tub. The kitchen is fully equipped, the dining area provides seating for 7, our great room has a fireplace and a 56" wide screen TV and a 72" x 92" picture window that lets you enjoy the view outside from inside. Not only is the cabin very private but the split bedroom design gives you privacy from the other guest as well.
Some might consider that we are handicap accessible but we are not 100%.

- Gazebo : No Gazebo BUT!! Coming this spring, we will have an outside firepit. It will be located next to the carport and we hope to make it to where it is easlily accessible. It will not be for cooking but maybe a weiner roast or a marshmellow or two.

- SEE OUR EXTEND FAMILY ON YOUTUBE. Go to wearsbears There is a total of 3 different videos. Some members of our family have fun with our garbage container and the items that it contains. Our family includes bears, raccons and turkeys. It has been reported that we have some deer but we have not experienced them. .

- Handicapped Accessible (may have limitations) : We do not have bars on the walls. We do have a walk in shower but there are no bars.
- Wheelchair Accessible (may have limitations) : I would have to say that our place is very accessible to a wheel chair. A wheel chair can be used to access all rooms of the cabin. One of the bathrooms is very accessible but after you get in it, it is not truly 100% what you would like to have. Once you arrive at the cabin, you can get out of the car and via the deck you have access to the front and back of the cabin plus entrance to the cabin at either door. Be sure and ask about accessiblity.

- Fishing in the river is just minutes away. Fishing in a catch and release pond is 1 mile away. (no license required) Lake fishing in 2 lakes is about 45 minutes away and is in the same area as the famous DRAGON. If you do not know about the DRAGON, just pull it up on the computer. Gambling is legal in Cherokee NC. They are now making whiskey in Galtinburg. It is legal though.

This is the only cabin that we own and we enjoying providing a nice clean place for people to stay. We enjoy meeting a talking with the folks that stay with us. We have become very aquainted with a number of people that have stayed with us and we look forward to hearing from them year after year.
