Whether you're looking for a fun filled vacation with the whole family, a great escape with friends, or a relaxing and romantic retreat alone for a few days, or weeks this is truly a fabulous home in a great location! The house sleeps 9 people, 11 if you in have babies/toddlers and can make use of the cribs.
This beautifully remodeled Dollar Point home is ideally located for fun for all seasons. Dollar Point is an exclusive, lakeside neighborhood just minutes from restaurants, shopping and activities in Tahoe City (5 min) and Kings Beach (15 min), (20 min) Squaw, North Star, Alpine, Homewood and Incline and across the road from nordic skiing and snowmobiling. Ski or board all day and then relax in the hot tub (fits 7).
In the summer enjoy the large backyard with play structure, picnic tables, BBQ grill & hot tub. The private HOA pool and tennis courts are a short walk away. There is a wagon in the garage that's great for taking the toddlers, towels, etc to the pool. Dollar Point's private beach with picnic tables, BBQ grill, pier and attendant are also nearby with additional tennis courts adjacent the beach.
This wonderful home is situated on a flat lot with a large backyard and play structure for the kids, plus picnic tables and a 7-person hot tub for everyone to enjoy. Inside you’ll find that the home has been beautifully remodeled and decorated in the Lake Tahoe motif giving our guests a wonderful mountain feel and experience. A remodeled kitchen with granite slab countertops, travertine tile and hickory hardwood floors opens to the dining area and a large living area with a wood burning rock fire place. A gas BBQ grill is conveniently located on the deck just off the dining room/kitchen. There is a classic upright piano in the living room for the musician in the family to enjoy!
Spacious decks off the front and back of the house open the indoors to the outdoors. Pine furniture fills this home and all beds are covered with down comforters. There are flat screen TV's in the living room & all the bedrooms. The LR and bunkroom also have DVD players &,or VCRs. The master bedroom is extra large with a newly remodeled master bath (fall 2008) including a spacious shower with dual showerheads, vanity with double sinks & granite countertops. The 3rd bedroom with 2 sets of bunk beds (one bunk has a double bed on the bottom)is perfect for ALL the kids or multiple adult guests. The second bedroom offers a queen bed and is situated across the hall from the newly remodeled (fall 2008) guest bath. Two portable cribs (one full size & one the size of a pack and play) are provided, making the sleeping arrangements with infants/toddlers a breeze.

Why the Owner Chose Dollar Point
Dollar Point is the perfect family vacation spot in Tahoe. We've gone up several times the past few years and decided that now that we have a family it would be a great spot to go to with our children. It has a pool, tennis courts and private beach. The kids like to go biking, take nice walks and wagon rides to the pool in the summer. In the winter we're 20 minutes from several ski resorts and only 5 minutes to the quaint town of Tahoe City. We love it!!
The Unique Benefits at this House
Our home in Dollar Point has two large decks, a huge flat yard with play structure, hot tub for 7 and bbq grill. It is beautifully remodeled! The kitchen and bathrooms are fabulous and it has a wonderful great room that is perfect for being able to cook while being with your friends and family. There are 2 picnic tables in the back yard and it is so easy to walk to the pool, tennis courts, 7-11 store, etc.

My husband and I started coming to North Lake Tahoe before we had children skiing and spending 2 - 3 weeks there in the summer. During one vacation we stayed in Dollar Point and loved it. So when we thought about buying a vacation home in Lake Tahoe, Dollar Point was the prime location for us. It has the private beach, pool, tennis courts and is so conveniently located to Tahoe City, skiing, hiking, biking, and so much more, plus it's wonderful for families. We now have two children and are having so much fun introducing them to swimming, skiing, sledding and all the fun outdoor activities that are so close by. This home is perfect for us. Our children love the big yard and playing on the play structure and we love sharing these experiences with them and entertaining friends in our home.

This home is welcoming, very well-maintained and provides every possible amenity. Great kitchen for cooking family meals together, wonderful backyard (climbing structure and toys) for our two toddler grandsons ...and big enough for the 6 and 8 year old to also have a a blast! We loved the community center, fished for crawdads, cycled into Tahoe City, went to mini-golf and boated off the beach to a sunset dinner at Garwoods (delicious!) ...Beverly is very business like and responsive to questions All in all it was a wonderfulhome from home for our family to hang out and simply have a great time together. I would strongly recommend it!

This is a great location for a ski trip. Close to Tahoe City, Squaw, Alpine, Northstar etc.. The home is very updated and has modern upscale amentities. It is spacious and very well maintained. The owner is also extremely responsive. I highly recommend.

We had a wonderful time and are looking forward to our next visit. The house is amazing! Perfect for families or a fabulous getaway with a group of friends. Did not feel like a rental…felt like a real vacation home. Very clean, nice decor and well furnished. The open and spacious floor plan/layout was great…was able to be in the kitchen cooking and still participate in activities in the living room. Also, the piano was a bonus!

First of all, the kitchen in this unit is amazing. More or less top of the line convection oven, massive stainless range, yards of marble counter top and a beautifully stained island to tie it all together. The bedrooms were another pleasant surprise. Unlike many Tahoe vacation rentals, this unit did not skimp when it came to the quality of either the bedroom set or the bedding itself. The rooms were recently and tastefully/expensively redone. The exterior of the home is unassuming and does a good job at making the luxury inside a pleasant surprise.

If you love to cook this is the rental for you -- everything in the kitchen from the 6-burner stove on up is gourmet class; no "rental blues" here with mismatched or substandard utensils, cookware or dishes. Everything else here follows suit -- felt like a 4-star resort from the linens to the bathrooms to the beds; a truly relaxing and plush place for a perfect ski vacation, especially if you like cross country skiing at the great Tahoe XC center less than a mile across the main drag. And should you have any questions Beverly seems to be always online ready to answer via email -- which you can check through the excellent in-house Wi-Fi. In all, a great place and great value when you consider the complete lack of headaches or heartbreaks.
