  We just returned from an amazing week in Florence and were so lucky to have found this apartment. When booking, they were prompt & professional and answered all our questions. We put our deposit down through paypal and brought the remaining amount due in Euros we exchanged ahead at our bank. We called Osvaldo when we got through immigration, and he was at the apartment when we arrived. (We used "Easy Airport Taxis" to get us from the airport to the apartment. They met us with a sign when we got through customs, and made it so easy & non-stressful as we had never been to Italy before) Osvaldo gave us a thorough orientation to the apartment and answered all questions. The apartment exceeded our expectations. It was very clean and was remodeled a few years ago. It has 2 bedrooms and 3 baths - we were 3 women traveling together, so it was heaven having our own bathroom! The location couldn't have been better. It was a short walk to the Duomo, Mercado Centrale, Train station, Santa Croce.... really everything. Fabulous restaurants were all around & the owner had a list of ones they suggested. We had an incredible meal at Pensavo Peggio, Via del Moro 51R. We had the Florentine Beefsteak (a huge T-bone steak for 2), ravioli with truffle sauce, spinach and house wine. The owners gave us a shot of Limoncello as we left to top off the evening! Wonderful!! We rode the "hop on, hop off" bus and it was well worth the money. The main bus stop is a short walk from the apartment. You can use the ticket for 48 hours. They give you headphones to listen to for some history of the area. Take it to Fiosole -- have lunch at the Restarante Aurora overlooking Florence - another amazing meal. We took a bus to Siena for a fabulous day trip. We were lucky because the marble artwork all over the cathedral floor was uncovered - only in September - & it was beautiful. The cathedral is incredible. We also took a cooking class through Accidental Tourist. Our guide was Steve. You get picked up by the Ponte Vecchio Bridge & taken to the countryside. We made ravioli & noodles, then went upstairs where the owner, Christiana made pizza, frittata and dessert to go with our ravioli while Steve sang opera in Italian. The day couldn't have been better! It was always great to get back to the beautiful apartment. Do bring insect repellent as Florence has many mosquitos. The apartment has air conditioning, so keep the windows closed! We would all recommend this place!

  We rented this apartment through VRBO for our stay in Florence with 4 adults and 2 small children. From the pictures online it looked really good and in real life it was a great place. The rooms were large, the living room and kitchen were nice. There was free wifi. The location is excellent, walking distance to all the sights in downtown Florence. But here was the bad part. I was trying to contact the owner a few days before arrival to check in and make sure we were all set. Didn't receive any response. I just wanted to confirm our arrival and asked a few question about how best to get from the train station to the apartment, esp. since we were traveling with luggage and a small baby. No response. I had a phone number that I was supposed to call when we arrived, so I called that upon arrival in Florence. We talked to Osvaldo and he said he would meet us at the apartment in 45 minutes and gave us directions. We walked from the train station to the apartment in 10 minutes and waited outside. We waited for much longer than 45 minutes and Osvaldo finally showed up. When he did get there, he didn't have the right keys for us so while he could let us in, he needed to get different keys. It took a long time for him to get the keys and come back. He also didn't have a baby cot available even though we asked for it, so he had to go and get that as well. Luckily that was taken care of before we went to sleep. We had a minor issue with the washer which did not work very well. Clothes were soaking wet. When checking out I emailed the owner to ask for a later departure time and he said we should talk to Osvaldo. The owner didn't seem involved at all, which I thought was kind of strange. It didn't make us feel very welcome. And the lack of communication beforehand stressed me out and made me very uncertain about whether I had done the right thing by booking this apartment. It all worked out in the end, but the experience would have been a lot better if the owner had been more responsive.

First of all, thanks for the acknowledgment that apartment is great, we made many efforts to make something beautiful and we are happy when our guests can appreciate it. About the problems you underlined, it’s very strange we didn’t answer to some e-mail, because we are used to do always, anyway if happened we beg your pardon for it. Nothing strange instead if we said to contact Osvaldo for a later departure, we are organized in this way, he is the responsible of the assistance during the holidays of our guests; also, I would like to remember that a later departure is a courtesy that we make willingly if possible, but it’s always a courtesy, and could be appreciated in the some way like little problems as a wrong key or a little delay are underlined. Anyway, thanks for your review, sure it’s a stimule to make our activity always in a better way

  I stayed here with my husband, daughter and a friend of the family in Feb., 2011 for 5 nights. The two bedrooms were spacious and each had its own bathroom with a third bathroom in between. It was a great location - close to the Duomo and bus station where many tours leave from. We were in walking distance from a grocery store and an outdoor market selling any type of souvenir you might want. It was also close to great restaurants. The kitchen was nice to have, but we didn't cook much. There is also a nice sitting area. We never used the TV. Who wants to watch TV when they are in Italy! The only thing I would recommend is to ask for extra blankets if you stay in the cooler months. We didn't think of it until the end of our stay. The tall ceilings make it difficult to heat, but I bet it keeps it cool in the summer. Osvaldo, who was our contact person, was a great help. His English is limited, but his Spanish is great so that worked for us. I really have to agree with the previous review – it was so much better than a hotel!

  The apartment building was near all the tourist spots - even the train station. All sights were well within walking distance. The rooms were elegantly decorated and spacious for family of eight. Newly renovated apartment with all amenities, including private baths in each bedroom. I would recommend this location to anyone.
