Local Ocean City activities like the Winterfest of Lights (nearly a million lights decorate the area from Nov. 19- Jan. 2), the Holiday Shopping Fair and plentiful restaurants are just across the Bay.
And, closeby Assateague Island with its 37 miles of pristine beaches and dunes is open year round and has much to see -- abundant waterfowl, peaceful marshes and wild ponies make for a unique day trip. Another option is charming and historic Berlin which decorates for a Victorian Christmas complete with horse and carriage rides, a victorian fashion show and tea and other activities. Berlin feels like a New England town with its eclectic mix of dining choices, galleries and unique shops. "Runaway Bride" and "Tuck Everlasting" were filmed on location in Berlin. Finally, get in some holiday shopping at the Rehoboth outlets.
For family fun in Terns Landing you have access to an indoor pool, golf and tennis and miles
of walking trails. Back at the house, enjoy the spectacular water views from decks off all
three levels, snuggle up by the gas fireplace in the two story great room, play board games and extend family time together over meals in the spectacular dining room with a gorgeous view of the inlet.

Plus, for avid golfers there's not only the Robert Trent Jones course in the Pines but 14 championship courses in surrounding Worcester County Nearby restaurants range from casual/kid friendly to waterfront seafood and crab shacks to renowned Ruth's Chris Steak House.
