St. Croix is known for its beautiful historic architecture in the main towns of Christiansted and Fredericksted. Salt River National Park, Columbus Landing, Buck Island Reef National Monument, the restored plantation houses and grounds at Whim and Little La Grange are famous. The St. George's Botanical gardens, set within the ruins of a sugar cane plantation with its collection of exotic and rare tropical flora and the harbor front forts in both towns are worth a visit.
Excellent duty free shopping, fine restaurants, beautiful beaches, white sands, golfing, hiking, fishing, sailing, along with many other water activities will keep you busy.
