Location: Serenity is located on a private ½ acre, adjacent to protected watershed lands with fire trails to provide hiking from the house. It's about two miles to Villa Grande Beach, and five minutes to downtown Monte Rio, with its restaurants, public beach with boat rentals and concessions, and leash-free beach for dogs. It's a fifteen minute drive to the ocean beaches, and a ten minute drive to downtown Guerneville.
House: Serenity (~1300sf) is a spacious, beautifully furnished mountainside cabin with high-beamed ceilings and amazing views from every window. The living room features a wood stove, 42" TV with VCR, DVD & HBO, and very comfortable furnishings, and is open to the kitchen tailored for the serious cook, with eat-in dining for four.
There is a sunny deck with lounge chairs, a covered porch with table and chairs perfect for outdoor dining, and a gas barbecue. Sleeping 4, one bedroom is on the ground level; the second is downstairs. Both bedrooms are luxurious with queen beds and quality linens. One bedroom has a 20" TV with VCR, DVD & HBO. The bath has a combination tub/shower. There is wireless high-speed Internet access for use with the iMac computer provided or your laptop.
Grounds: Top of the world privacy and views make Serenity an extraordinary retreat. On over ½ acre of fenced gardens and redwood trees, this home provides a tranquil escape in a most beautiful setting. The hot tub is situated in a landscaped garden, with a nearby outdoor shower.
Note: Road and driveway to the house are narrow; daylight arrival is recommended.
